There are just two weeks remaining before Insomniac Games’ highly anticipated release, Marvel’s Wolverine, hits PlayStation 5 consoles worldwide on September 15, 2026. Prior to launch, PlayStation Game Size revealed that the game’s download size will be approximately 79.36 GB, with pre-loading starting a week earlier on September 8.
According to updates from PlayStation Game Size on X, players who pre-order Marvel’s Wolverine digitally will be able to pre-load the game and it will unlock at midnight local time on September 8. To put this into perspective, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 had an 88 GB download size and offered an open-world experience with two Spider-Men.
While Marvel’s Wolverine isn’t an open-world game, its nearly 80 GB size hints at a wealth of content packed into this more linear experience. Insomniac has also confirmed that a day-one patch will address bugs and introduce a Photo Mode.
In terms of gameplay features, Marvel’s Wolverine will include New Game+ and mission replay options right from launch, allowing players to revisit Logan’s story immediately after finishing their first run. The studio also stated that the game will run at 60 frames per second with ray tracing on a standard PS5.
Recently, Insomniac released a trailer on YouTube showcasing the game’s combat mechanics, skill trees, and some of its costume options, including a popular Deadpool and Wolverine suit known as the Yellow Variant.
Although it won’t be open-world, players will guide Logan through diverse locations such as Canadian jungles, the bustling streets of Madripoor, and districts like Shinjuku in Japan, as he seeks to recover his memories. Despite the significant size and early pre-load availability, the total playtime for Marvel’s Wolverine has not yet been disclosed.
As a linear narrative, the story might be comparable to Marvel’s Spider-Man from 2018, which took approximately 18 to 20 hours to complete. The New Game+ mode will introduce new Nightmare Challenges, tougher enemies, additional gameplay modifications, and an increased level cap to allow Logan to cause even more chaos.
Do you think the download size matches your expectations for Marvel’s Wolverine? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Spyro: A Realm Beyond is the upcoming main installment in the Spyro franchise, marking the first original game since 2008. More details about its gameplay have recently been revealed.
In an interview with ComingSoon’s Tyler Treese, Toys for Bob’s Chief Creative Officer and Studio Head, Paul Yan, along with Lou Studdert, shared insights about the new project. Published by Activision, it’s scheduled to launch in 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X|S.
A major change in this new Spyro game is that Spyro will now be able to fly freely like a real dragon. In previous titles, he was limited to gliding, but now he can move much more dynamically. Yan explained that balancing this new flight mechanic was challenging, as they aimed to make flying feel like a natural extension of Spyro’s existing movement style.
“What we love about Spyro is the smoothness of his movements, including running, charging, finding great lines, jumping at the right moments, and gliding,” Yan said. “We want flight to seamlessly complement that. It’s now a bigger part of his toolkit and requires active decision-making as you navigate environments specifically designed with this expanded ability in mind. That’s how we see it.”
How will Spyro’s flying change the levels in A Realm Beyond?
Thanks to the new flying mechanics, Yan mentioned that the levels are likely to feature more vertical elements. “Once you have the ability to take off into flight instantly, the scale of the world immediately becomes much more expansive. Climbing and soaring vertically add a lot of interesting possibilities.” He also pointed out that the addition of flight encourages players to explore areas they previously wouldn’t have considered, leading to a richer experience.
With larger levels and more verticality, exploration becomes even more essential. Studdert emphasized that “exploration has always been a core aspect” of the Spyro series. “We want players to thoroughly search these environments for collectibles and things they want or need. Gems are a fundamental part of that experience.”
Yan also discussed the levels planned for the game, expressing hope that players will get immersed and eager to explore every corner. Now that Spyro can do so much more, the developers aim to uphold a key tradition of the series.
“We want players to feel comfortable getting lost and curious about their surroundings. Finding all the hidden areas and items should be both motivating and rewarding. That’s a fundamental part of the Spyro experience, and we’re carrying that into this new adventure.”
After yesterday’s extensive showcase of GTA 6, news has surfaced that Rockstar Games intends to keep the game running at 30 frames per second (FPS) on both PS5 and PS5 Pro, which has left many players divided. While we expected the base console to handle 30 FPS, fans had hoped that the more powerful PS5 Pro would support higher frame rates. Unfortunately, Rockstar hasn’t made any promises in that regard.
Numerous rumors circulated that GTA 6 might run at 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro, but those hopes have been dashed by Rockstar’s official statement. YouTuber Davy Jones, who was invited to Rockstar North for an exclusive look, reports that he confirmed a 30 FPS target with Rob Nelson, the head of development. Jones notes that Rockstar isn’t certain if 60 FPS will be achievable now or in the future, much less by launch.
Given the scale of GTA 6, it’s not surprising that the game is set to run at 30 FPS on current consoles. Still, this news hasn’t sat well with the community. Many are holding out hope that Rockstar will add at least 40 FPS support on the PS5 Pro.
One Reddit user remarked, “Unlocked VRR mode is the least they could do,” while another added, “30 FPS isn’t acceptable for any current-gen AAA title.” Players are eager for improvements, and many are advocating for better performance modes to enhance the gaming experience.
A highly anticipated new PS5 action game, initially revealed in November 2025, now has an official release date and will be available soon. Titled Armatus, this game was unexpectedly announced by Counterplay Games, known for developing Godfall. Along with the announcement, the studio released a new trailer showcasing gameplay and details.
Godfall Developer’s Exciting PS5 Action Game Armatus Scheduled for January 2027 Launch
Armatus is set to launch on January 7, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Described as “a third-person roguelite shooter set in the demon-infested ruins of Paris,” Armatus promises intense combat and atmospheric exploration.
“Playing as the last supernatural warrior of an ancient order, equipped with formidable firearms and celestial powers, you’ll explore the city in search of a lost gateway to heaven—the Sunless Gate,” an official description states. “Knowledge is your weapon, and death is just another step. Each run challenges you to wield your scythe and chosen firearm against relentless demons hellbent on your destruction.”
The announcement of Armatus came roughly a year after rumors suggested that Counterplay Games had disbanded. A team member from a partner studio mentioned the disbandment on their verified LinkedIn profile, but the company itself never officially confirmed these reports.
This will be Counterplay’s third game. Their previous titles, Godfall and Duelyst, did not achieve significant commercial success.
Viture, a prominent developer of XR and AR glasses, has collaborated with S-Game, the studio behind Phantom Blade Zero, to create the Phantom Beast XR Glasses. This limited-edition model features the game’s signature “kungfupunk” style integrated into Viture’s flagship XR device. Pre-orders are now open for $599 exclusively on viture.com. Shipping kicks off on October 29th, the same day Phantom Blade Zero officially launches.
“I felt this was very personal. Wuxia has been a significant part of my childhood, and Phantom Blade Zero pays homage to that world in a way I’ve been waiting for years to see,” said David Jiang, founder of VITURE. “Creating Phantom Beast allowed us to go beyond simply branding a product—we crafted a way for those who’ve never stepped into the Wulin to feel like they belong there. That’s the core of what VITURE is all about: immersing you inside the story, not just presenting it on a screen.”
This project marks Viture’s first collaboration with a Chinese game studio and its second major AAA brand partnership after last year’s Cyberpunk 2077 Luma Cyber XR Glasses.
“The Viture × Phantom Blade Zero XR glasses bring the game’s unique kungfupunk aesthetic into real life, seamlessly blending advanced technology with collectible appeal,” stated Soulframe, Game Director and Founder of S-Game. “The cinematic scope and immersive nature of XR give players a fresh way to step into Phantom Blade Zero’s Wulin, experiencing its universe beyond just a screen. I truly believe XR has the potential to open a new chapter for AAA gaming.”
The Phantom Beast design draws inspiration from Phantom Blade Zero’s fusion of traditional Chinese wuxia elements with punk fantasy. Exclusive artwork, engravings, and iconography derived from the game’s blade-focused visual language adorn the device, all housed within the same high-end optical engine and crisp display used in the standard Beast model. The main differences lie in presentation and accessories: a custom case, a removable strap, and a fully reskinned on-screen interface themed around Phantom Blade Zero.
Metal accents on the temples depict Soul’s blade at the exact moment it leaves the scabbard—symbolizing tension and anticipation, a motif carried throughout the design. The included detachable neck lanyard features traditional wuxia patterns and martial arts-inspired decorative elements.
Much like the original Beast launched in April, Phantom Beast offers the largest and most advanced virtual screen available in consumer XR glasses. Viture’s custom prism optics and latest Sony Micro-OLED panels deliver a 174-inch virtual display at 4 meters, with 1200p resolution per eye, a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 1,250 nits, nine levels of electrochromic dimming, VisionPair™ 3DoF spatial tracking, and HARMAN AudioEFX spatial audio. Users can toggle among five display modes, including a panoramic 32:9 setting optimized for ultra-wide PC gaming.
Connectivity is via USB-C, offering plug-and-play compatibility with Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Steam Deck. For console users, Viture’s Pro Mobile Dock is available to connect PS5, PS4, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and other HDMI sources. The Switch and Switch 2 are also compatible with the Mobile Dock Mini. Currently, Viture is the only XR glasses manufacturer supporting the Switch 2.

Rockstar Games has finally broken its silence regarding the recent GTA 6 leaks, calling them “heartbreaking.” The highly anticipated open-world game is still set to be released later this year.
In a message posted on social media, Rockstar acknowledged the leak of gameplay videos last week, stating, “We understand many of you have been waiting for an official update. Seeing Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leak like this has been deeply upsetting for our team. This isn’t how we envisioned sharing the game with you after all this hard work.”
They added, “We apologize for the delay—it’s taken longer than expected to finalize the game, but we’re almost there!” The company also confirmed that, due to the leaks, GTA 6 will now face some spoilers before launch. Nonetheless, they assured fans that the team remains committed to delivering an outstanding experience with the new installment in the franchise.
The leaks have exposed significant details about the game, including a more detailed look at the map of Leonida, although some reports suggest the footage may not represent the full version. Additionally, a mystery leaker, known as Cyberleek, continues to post more content, including a new gameplay clip that reportedly shows the character Jason stealing cars from NPCs, as reported by Mashable.
Ahead of its official release, GTA 6 will offer an extended preview this week exclusively for Netflix viewers. Subscribers will get a teaser trailer featuring the main characters, Jason and Lucia, and a glimpse of Leonida’s world.
The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
