  • Upcoming PS5 Action RPG Delays Release Date for Exciting Reasons

Upcoming PS5 Action RPG Delays Release Date for Exciting Reasons

A highly anticipated isometric action RPG for PS5 has just experienced a major delay. Moon Studios has decided to push back the launch of its upcoming game, No Rest for the Wicked, to 2027. The Ori developer explained the reasons behind this tough decision through a recent community update.

The game has been accessible in Early Access on PC for nearly two years. It was originally scheduled for a full debut on PS5 with its 1.0 release later this October. However, after the delay, the launch is now expected in March 2027 across all platforms. “The truth is, we’re a small team, and we refuse to cut corners,” Moon Studios shared in their latest community update.

“We’re close, but close isn’t enough for our full 1.0 launch. The additional months will allow us to enhance performance, refine the class system, and polish the entire game to meet the high standards our fans deserve. We’d rather take a few extra months than release something that isn’t quite perfect yet.”

In a video accompanying the announcement, Moon Studios CEO Thomas Maher addressed fans directly, noting that extensive playtesting has revealed there’s still work to do: “We’re not quite there yet.” He also reassured players that more closed and open beta tests are planned in the coming months, with one of the next major tests scheduled for December.

The studio also mentioned rewards for early supporters and pre-orders. Anyone who pre-purchased No Rest for the Wicked on PS5 or PC before January 1st, 2027, will receive special founder’s pack rewards.

Currently, No Rest for the Wicked is available in Early Access on Steam, with development ongoing for PS5, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

  • New PS5 Game in Classic PS2 Action Series Launches on PlayStation Store

New PS5 Game in Classic PS2 Action Series Launches on PlayStation Store

A new action game in the popular PS5 series has just been released on the PlayStation Store to an encouraging early response. Developed by Behaviour Interactive and published by Devolver Digital, Serious Sam: Shatterverse introduces multiplayer chaos to current-generation consoles.

Serious Sam: Shatterverse is priced at $19.99. PS Plus members can enjoy a 10% launch discount, bringing the price down to $17.99 until September 7.

This game combines co-op gameplay, first-person shooting mechanics, and roguelite elements. Check out the launch trailer below:

According to the description, “As part of the Serious Program, a multidimensional force fighting against Uber Mental, you’ll travel through shifting universes to complete battles other Sams couldn’t. Mental has been hunting our hero across multiple realities, and in many timelines, he’s already victorious. Now, it’s your mission to fight back. To succeed, you’ll need to defeat his five lieutenants, each a powerful boss in search of total destruction.”

On the PlayStation Store, Serious Sam: Shatterverse currently holds a 4.37 out of 5-star rating. While critic reviews are scarce, those available have mostly been positive. Player feedback on Steam appears to be mixed, so ratings may fluctuate as more reviews are submitted.

  • PS5 Prepares Remakes of Iconic PlayStation Classic Adventure Games

PS5 Prepares Remakes of Iconic PlayStation Classic Adventure Games

Rumors suggest that remakes of two beloved PS1 classic adventure games are in the works for the PS5. The titles are Tomb Raider 2 from 1997 and Tomb Raider 3 from 1998, which were originally exclusive to PlayStation. It’s believed they will receive comprehensive remakes following recent Next-Gen remasters.

This information comes from French outlet PS Inside, which has a respectable reputation for gaming rumors. They report that Flying Wild Hog has been commissioned to develop these remakes. The studio is already working on a remake of the first Tomb Raider, titled Legacy of Atlantis.

According to PS Inside, the development of these remakes will move forward regardless of the release status of Legacy of Atlantis. The rumor hints that the team may be co-developing these projects, although that isn’t confirmed. Until official announcements are made, it’s wise to treat this as speculation. The only confirmed remake set for release is Legacy of Atlantis, arriving on February 12, 2027.

An official description of Legacy of Atlantis promises “the ultimate adventure experience with a stunning reimagining of Lara Croft’s 1996 breakthrough game.” It boasts cutting-edge visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, modern gameplay mechanics, and new surprises, all while respecting the original’s atmosphere and spirit.

  • Controversial PS4 Game Reveals PS5 Sequel with Release Date & Trailer

Controversial PS4 Game Reveals PS5 Sequel with Release Date & Trailer

A highly debated PlayStation 4 game is making a comeback with a sequel for the PS5, which now has an official release date. A new trailer offers fans a glimpse of what to expect from the second installment.

Toro 2, the follow-up to the 2015 original Toro game, is scheduled to launch on September 9, 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 5 and PS4, as well as Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Developed by RecoTechnology, Toro 2 is an arcade-style game where players can challenge bulls in famous arenas in their quest to become champions.

    ### What’s in Toro 2’s trailer?

The official trailer for Toro 2 features a crowded arena where a bull charges straight at a bullfighter at top speed.

“Become a bullfighting star,” the video description says, then teases various arena locations, including Pamplona, Madrid, Nimes, Seville, and Mexico, where players will face off against bulls.

The trailer also confirms a new multiplayer mode and shows a brief gameplay teaser from the upcoming game.

“Be a bullfighter, be a bull,” another tagline reads, highlighting a Versus mode that allows players to choose to be either a bullfighter or a bull and compete against friends.

This third-person 3D bullfighting simulator will also include a Career mode, where players can work their way up from novice to legendary bullfighter, competing in some of the world’s most renowned bullfighting arenas.

Toro 2 arrives a decade after the original, which was especially popular among PC gamers, earning over 73% positive reviews on Steam.

The game also faced some criticism for its portrayal of traditional bullfighting, with some arguing it glamorized animal cruelty for entertainment purposes.

RecoTechnology’s Toro 2 is set to release on September 9, 2026, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

  • PlayStation 5 Offers Free Live TV Support—with a Twist

PlayStation 5 Offers Free Live TV Support—with a Twist

A recent update for the PlayStation 5 introduces free live TV streaming capabilities. Launched on August 31, 2026, the feature is currently available to PS5 owners in the United States. However, there’s an important caveat to be aware of.

Sony Pictures Television officially rolled out the Live TV service on PS5. The service offers ad-supported streaming and is exclusive to U.S. players for now. Users can access it via the Media tab by selecting the Live TV on PS5 icon and signing in with their PlayStation account.

With this service, gamers can enjoy over 100 live channels along with a growing library of on-demand content directly on their consoles—no need to download external apps. The lineup includes news, sports, movies, TV series, anime, and more, featuring content partners like Amazon MGM Studios, Crunchyroll, FOX, NBCUniversal, NFL Channel, UFC, and others.

Over time, the selection will expand. Currently, the service is limited to the U.S., although Sony is planning to bring it to Canada soon.

[Image: A PlayStation 5 featuring free live TV support, with a caption noting the catch involved.]

Why advertisers are paying attention to PlayStation 5

PlayStation users have long utilized their consoles to stream various types of content via dedicated apps. This trend has elevated PS5 as a prime platform for advertisers seeking to connect with consumers through connected TV experiences.

According to Variety, Sony executives are exploring ways to integrate their assets, making it easier for advertisers to reach targeted audiences across different media. Peter Wood, EVP of consumer platforms and services at Sony Pictures Entertainment, explained, “Sony engages with tens of millions of users worldwide across our devices. It’s not complicated to see how we can reduce the barriers to discovering content across these platforms.”

He also emphasized that advertising served on PlayStation would be highly relevant, stating, “We’re being very deliberate in ensuring that the ads we display are meaningful and tailored to the viewer.”

Sony is partnering with Publica and PubMatic, specialists in connected TV advertising, to deliver targeted ads to PlayStation 5 users, enhancing the advertising experience on the platform.

  • Intergalactic Update Boosts Naughty Dog’s Space Adventure After Big Milestone

Intergalactic Update Boosts Naughty Dog’s Space Adventure After Big Milestone

Naughty Dog’s upcoming PS5 title, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, recently hit a significant milestone. This game marks Naughty Dog’s first new intellectual property in 13 years, signaling a bold shift for the PlayStation Studios developer. Development has been underway since 2020, following the launch of The Last of Us Part II.

In a recent social media post, Naughty Dog announced that the cinematic motion capture for the game has wrapped up. The company shared, “That’s a wrap on the highly ambitious Intergalactic cinematic shoot! The cast was incredible! Can’t wait to share their amazing work when the time is right!” The announcement was accompanied by an image of Tati Gabrielle on set, holding a prop blaster.

A tweet from Naughty Dog also read, “See you, space cowboy… That’s a wrap on the ambitious Intergalactic cinematic shoot! The cast nailed it! Looking forward to revealing their fantastic work soon!” The tweet was dated August 31, 2026, and included a photo from the shoot.

What we know so far about Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is quite exciting. The game was first unveiled at The Game Awards in 2025. It’s a third-person action-adventure game with sci-fi elements. Players will take on the role of bounty hunter Jordan A. Mun, portrayed by Gabrielle, who is stranded on the mysterious planet Sempiria.

The project entered development in 2020, during a period when most of Naughty Dog was working on the now-canceled multiplayer component of The Last of Us. Neil Druckmann, the creative director of The Last of Us, is directing the new game, alongside game directors Matthew Gallant and Kurt Margenau. In addition to Gabrielle, voice talents include Halley Gross, Kumail Nanjiani, Tony Dalton, Ashley Scott, and Stephen A. Chang. The game also features Robin Atkin Downes, Merle Dandridge, and Troy Baker.

Fans are expecting a new trailer or gameplay footage to be showcased during the upcoming September State of Play event. Previous reports suggest the game is targeting a release around mid-2027.

Currently, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is still in development exclusively for PlayStation 5, with no official release date announced.

  • Next Big PS5 RPG Turns Heads with Stellar Reviews

Next Big PS5 RPG Turns Heads with Stellar Reviews

A highly anticipated PlayStation 5 RPG has garnered praise from critics, with some describing it as their “next gaming obsession.” Developed by Rebel Wolves and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, this open-world dark fantasy adventure is set to launch this week.

Rebel Wolves’ ambitious project, The Blood of Dawnwalker, has already begun generating positive buzz before its official release. Many reviewers are praising the game’s engaging gameplay and compelling storytelling.

Currently, The Blood of Dawnwalker holds a ‘Mighty’ rating on OpenCritic, with an average score of 84 out of 100 based on 59 reviews.

Tyler Treese from Comingsoon.net noted that despite some issues with animation quality, the game stands out as “one of the best releases of the year and your next gaming obsession.”

Salal Awan of Twisted Voxel praised the game for its “impressive debut, featuring compelling writing, meaningful day-night mechanics, and versatile combat.” Likewise, Luuc ten Velde from XGN.nl compared it to The Witcher 3, calling it a “fantastic open-world RPG with a sharply written story, memorable characters, and decisions with real impact.”

Steve Brieller of Cerealkillerz also drew parallels to The Witcher, highlighting top-notch voice acting and sound design that help create an atmosphere where players genuinely care about the characters and the world they explore.

Despite the early praise, The Blood of Dawnwalker isn’t without its rough edges. The animations are still a work in progress, but the developer has promised a frame rate patch at launch to improve performance. Some moments of character movement and traversal feel awkward, but these issues don’t overshadow the developer’s efforts to craft an immersive swordplay experience.

The game’s innovative systems and mechanics shine through. Combat relies heavily on direction-based inputs, where players hold the analog stick toward their attack target or block in the correct direction, making duels feel more visceral and engaging. Additionally, players can harness witchcraft to communicate with the dead and use plane shifting to walk on vertical surfaces. The story’s unique 30-day structure adds urgency, constantly reminding players to optimize their builds and focus on key objectives.

The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch on September 3, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Xbox Open-World Game’s PS5 Release Date Slightly Delayed

The PlayStation 5 version of a recent Xbox open-world game has been quietly pushed back. It was initially expected to release on Sony’s console sometime this year, but that’s no longer the case.

Popular Xbox and PC exclusive, Forza Horizon 6, will not be releasing on PS5 in 2026, according to Tom Warren from The Verge. He shared this update responding to a user on X. Later, IGN also confirmed that the report is accurate.

So far, there hasn’t been any official statement from Xbox regarding the delay of Forza Horizon 6 on PlayStation 5.

In a tweet, Tom Warren stated, “I’m not expecting to see Forza Horizon 6 on PS5 in 2026,” which can be viewed here.

Recent decisions by Xbox suggest that the game’s release timeline might be shifting. While Forza Horizon 6 appears to be postponed beyond 2026, it doesn’t necessarily mean the PlayStation launch is canceled. However, the latest information certainly doesn’t look promising.

The last time Xbox mentioned the PlayStation release of Forza Horizon 6 was back in January of this year. Xbox’s official Twitter account confirmed plans for it to come to PlayStation.

In recent months, Xbox has shifted its approach toward bringing more of its exclusives to PS5. Following Asha Sharma’s appointment as CEO, the company seems focused on prioritizing Xbox consoles and releasing more exclusive titles.

For instance, Gears of War: E-Day was announced as an Xbox exclusive in June. Interestingly, there were rumors that it might have been originally planned for PS5 as well.

The Forza Horizon 6 wishlist page is still active on the PlayStation Store, indicating that the game is still expected to arrive on PS5. However, fans will need to wait longer for its release, as it remains an Xbox and PC exclusive for now.

The game was initially released on May 19, 2026, and has been a major success, selling approximately 6.4 million copies as of June, according to reports.
