  • Top 2024 PS5 RPG with Stunning Sequel Gameplay Trailer

Top 2024 PS5 RPG with Stunning Sequel Gameplay Trailer

Black Myth: Wukong was a major success in 2024, leaving fans eager for Game Science’s next project. After nearly two years, the Chinese game developer has finally unveiled Black Myth: Zhong Kui in its full form. Like the first game on PS5, this upcoming sequel draws inspiration from Chinese mythology.

Game Science released a 15-minute gameplay trailer that introduces the new protagonist and showcases various environments. The footage comes from a work-in-progress version running in a 21:9 aspect ratio. The game was initially announced during last year’s Opening Night Live at Gamescom. Players will take on the role of Zhong Kui, a Chinese deity who travels between Earth and the Underworld to battle demons.

Check out the gameplay trailer for Black Myth: Zhong Kui below.

    ### What Game Science Shared About Black Myth: Zhong Kui’s Direction

The trailer features no dialogue but shows exciting gameplay with fresh combat mechanics. Built using Unreal Engine 5, the game demonstrates stunning visuals for a PS5 title, with highly realistic environments and character designs. During combat, Zhong Kui dodges and parries with his sword, and also employs elemental attacks. One scene shows him tossing a bomb that ignites the forest in flames, which he then absorbs into his sword.

Game Science has stated that Zhong Kui, like Wukong, will be a single-player action RPG. On the official website’s FAQ, the developers mentioned they’re exploring unique gameplay tailored to the new hero, utilizing cutting-edge technology and innovative storytelling approaches. However, fans shouldn’t expect an imminent release, as Game Science confirmed it’s still early in development.

Black Myth: Wukong received glowing reviews and was a commercial hit, selling over 20 million copies within its first month. The studio continued supporting it post-launch with updates, new modes, and features.

Black Myth: Zhong Kui is currently in development for PC and gaming consoles.

  • Horizon 3 PlayStation Exclusive Receives Disappointing Patch

Horizon 3 PlayStation Exclusive Receives Disappointing Patch

People eager for the next installment in the PlayStation-exclusive Horizon series will likely be disappointed by the latest report from Bloomberg. According to their sources, Horizon 3 is still far from release and is currently only being developed by a small team.

It appears that Horizon 3 won’t be available as a physical disc, based on new information. Insider journalist Jason Schreier provided additional insights into Sony’s struggles with live service games, highlighting the ongoing turmoil at Guerrilla Games—especially concerning Horizon Hunters Gathering. After Horizon Forbidden West, most Guerrilla staff shifted focus to a multiplayer project, but that game has failed to make a strong impression. Now, it’s undergoing a major overhaul. While not officially canceled, the team has been given until December to demonstrate significant progress to executives.

As part of this revision, Horizon Hunters Gathering is shedding its live service features in favor of a more traditional co-op multiplayer mode paired with a story campaign. This shift indicates a scaled-back scope for the project.

If Bloomberg’s report is accurate, we might not see Horizon 3 for quite some time, potentially not until the PlayStation 6 arrives. Schreier’s update also suggests that the next mainline Horizon game probably won’t come out on disc.

  • Leaked GTA 6 Playable Build Surfaces from Insider Photos

Leaked GTA 6 Playable Build Surfaces from Insider Photos

Authentic GTA 6 leaks have surfaced online ahead of the game’s upcoming Netflix reveal, attributed to someone with access to a playable version. Footage began leaking a couple of days ago, including five videos, a map of the game, and other details. In the final clip, the leaker spelled out “LEEK” with bullets on an in-game wall—a nod to their online handle, CyberLeek.

We won’t be hosting the leaks directly here for obvious reasons, especially since Rockstar Games has already started issuing copyright takedown notices. However, interested users can check out the leaks on Reddit through these links (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).

According to trusted insider NatetheHate, the leaked footage dates back over a year, meaning the upcoming Netflix showcase will likely give the most accurate preview of the final game. It’s still surprising that someone managed to obtain a fairly recent playable build, especially given Rockstar’s efforts to tighten security following earlier leaks.

The leaker also claims to have access to the ending of character Lucia, so fans should be cautious if they want to avoid spoilers.

GTA 6’s extended reveal is set to premiere on Netflix on August 27.

Possible PS5 Classic Titles Could Disappear from PlayStation Store

PS Store users should be aware that the 2025 versions of Disney classics for PS5 and PS4 may soon be taken down from the digital store. As mentioned yesterday, Disney Pixar’s Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 are scheduled for re-release this October, and their emulated versions are expected to be removed from the PS Store ahead of these launches, following the usual pattern.

Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 are currently included in the PS Plus Premium Classics catalog and are also available for individual purchase on the PS Store. Sony has confirmed that both will be removed from PS Plus, which is a rare occurrence for the Premium Classics lineup but seems justified in this case.

Toy Story 2 will be re-released as part of the Toy Story: Retro Roundup! collection. Disney describes the package as a comprehensive compilation of games based on the film franchise, including titles like Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! (1999), Toy Story 2 (1990s), Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (2000), and Toy Story Racer (2001), along with a bonus game, A Bug’s Life (1998).

Additionally, Toy Story 3 Complete Edition will be released separately. Both titles will become available on October 15.

  • New PS5 Action Sequel Launches Today on PlayStation Store to Rave Reviews

New PS5 Action Sequel Launches Today on PlayStation Store to Rave Reviews

Developer Frogwares has finally launched its long-awaited survival horror RPG on PS5. The Sinking City 2 is now accessible through the PlayStation Store, nearly seven years after the original game debuted on earlier consoles. This sequel continues the detective-themed, semi-open-world gameplay set in 1920s Arkham.

Unlike its predecessor, The Sinking City 2 offers a more streamlined and intense experience, based on current reviews. Players assume the role of Calvin Rafferty, who must navigate the dark, foreboding streets of Arkham to wake his comatose partner.

Throughout the journey, Rafferty faces undead creatures possessed by the Slither. The game’s linear structure includes optional objectives and alternate routes that can simplify the main storyline.

Critics’ Impressions of The Sinking City 2

As of now, the game holds a 79 on Metacritic, based on 33 reviews. Compared to the reception of the first installment, the sequel is seen as an improvement for Frogwares. Reviewers have appreciated its suspenseful atmosphere, compelling storytelling, and detective mechanics. The technical aspects and ambition of the game have also been praised.

DualShockers described it as “an absolute triumph,” highlighting Frogwares’ effort to craft a complete survival horror experience. Indigo Geek commended the game’s successful capture of H.P. Lovecraft’s cosmic dread. However, not all reviews were glowing.

The Guardian criticized the combat system, noting that it “undermines the detailed map design by offering no motivation to utilize shortcuts.” The review also pointed out the dialogue as “overwrought” and the acting as stiff.

The game is available in three editions for PS5. The Standard edition costs $49.99, while the Deluxe and Premium editions are priced at $54.99 and $59.99. The Deluxe version includes the Arkham Field Kit, and the Premium adds the side mission titled The Holloway Manor.

The Sinking City 2 can be downloaded right now from the PlayStation Store.

  • Master the Ultimate August PlayStation Plus Classic with This Trick

Master the Ultimate August PlayStation Plus Classic with This Trick

A quick heads-up for PS Plus Premium members: the best version of one of today’s newly added classic games is only available in Japan, but you can access it from outside the country with a simple trick. The Western release of Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is known for being poorly balanced and missing features found in the Japanese version, which is playable in English.

How to download the Japanese version of Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams on PS Plus

The Japanese edition of Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams features both English voice and text options. Its combat system and difficulty level—especially for bosses—are well-tuned. Plus, it offers additional difficulty settings not available elsewhere.

If you want to avoid frustration and experience the best version, just change your PS5 or PS4 system language to Japanese, as explained by ResetEra user Jawmuncher. Sadly, there’s no other way to select this version officially.

“To activate the Japanese binary, set your PS4/PS5 system language to Japanese. Then, you’ll be able to play the Japanese version of Onimusha Dawn of Dreams, complete with new difficulty modes. I can confirm it’s based on the PS2 Best Price release with Beginner mode.”

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is also available as a standalone purchase on the PlayStation Store.

Summary: Simply change your console’s language to Japanese, and you’ll unlock the premium, balanced version of the game, which includes more difficulty options and overall better gameplay. This method is the straightforward way to enjoy the full experience.
