If you’ve been having trouble with the HP Support Assistant not showing the full list of fixes and diagnostics, here’s a simple way to fix it. I recently ran into this issue myself and found a solution that worked perfectly.
First, open the Windows 11 Settings menu and go to the list of Installed Apps. Scroll down until you find HP Support Assistant. Click the three dots next to it, then select “Advanced Options” from the menu.
Once you’re in the Advanced Options, scroll down until you see the “Reset” section. Here, you’ll have two choices: “Repair” or “Reset.” Try clicking “Repair.” This process helps fix any problems without deleting your data or settings.
After the repair is complete, go back to the HP Support Assistant dashboard. Check the “Fixes and Diagnostics” section again. You should see the full list of options now, and everything should be working correctly.
Next, click on the “Updates” tab. Within seconds, you’ll see a notification that a BIOS update (version F.40) is available for download. Simply follow the prompts to download and install the update.
That’s it! This quick fix can save you time and frustration. If your HP Support Assistant isn’t working properly, try repairing the app through Windows settings as I did. It’s an easy step that often resolves the issue and gets everything back in working order.
