There’s one secret chest in Black Flag Resynced Grand Cayman that’s especially hard to reach, even though it looks obvious. Unlike the other two chests you can find here, this one feels more like a puzzle than a parkour or exploration challenge. To help you find all the loot, here’s a guide on how to get to every single chest on Grand Cayman.
The toughest chest to access is the hidden one on the cliff at coordinates (357, 298), where an old man is yelling at someone for drinking too much. Climbing up to it is impossible, so instead, you need to follow the man’s example and get Edward drunk too.
Go to the Grand Cayman tavern. You might need to finish a bar fight first to unlock it fully. Buy five drinks at the bar’s side. After your fifth drink and a quick fade-to-black, Edward will wake up in a pile of palm leaves on a ledge where the old man was. When you get up, you’ll earn the “Hungover” trophy or achievement. Now, you can open the secret chest to collect the Yoke-Form Vessel art piece.
The first regular chest can be found at coordinates (358, 295). To reach it, go to the cave pool on the southwestern side of Grand Cayman, near a Mayan statue. Wade into the pool, then dive down when you reach the end of the downward steps. Swim through the small cave doorway at the bottom and follow the steps back up to the surface. You’ll come out right in front of a chest filled with valuables worth a few hundred Reales—so it’s a decent find but not the most rewarding.
The second regular chest is at (365, 303), easier to see because it’s on the northeastern side of the island. However, it’s in a small camp protected by Spanish soldiers. You’ll have to fight or stealth your way through to grab it. Inside, you’ll find valuables worth a few hundred Reales as well.
That covers all the main chests across Grand Cayman. Each one offers a nice haul, whether through quick combat, clever exploration, or a little bribery at the tavern. Good luck unlocking them all!
