Sony has announced that a new game will be part of the PS Plus Essential lineup for August 2026. During February’s PlayStation State of Play, it was revealed that ‘Big Walk,’ the next project from the creator of Untitled Goose Game, will be offered as a free monthly game for PS Plus subscribers. The game was later scheduled for release in August.
The first free game for PS Plus Essential in August 2026 is a day-one launch. ‘Big Walk’ will be available to all PS Plus members starting Tuesday, August 4, 2026. This release will be simultaneous across all regions, as Essential games are not staggered.
Sony is expected to announce the complete August lineup this Wednesday, July 29.
‘Big Walk’ is described as a cooperative multiplayer adventure that emphasizes teamwork and communication, according to its developers. Players will explore a vast world filled with puzzles, challenges, and discoveries, working together to navigate, stay connected using various tools and gadgets, and find new ways to talk when they suddenly can’t speak.
