A 2024 RPG for PS5 and PS4, Star Trek: Legends, has been removed from the PlayStation Store without any prior notice. This sudden delisting comes during a week when players are already upset about Sony ending physical disc production, and it is likely to intensify ongoing discussions about a digital-only gaming future.
It’s not clear exactly when Star Trek: Legends was taken down from the store. The first notice of its removal was posted by a user on PSNProfiles. Developed by Emerald City Games and published digitally by QubicGames, the game was released only 1.5 years ago in December 2024.
According to a PSNProfiles user, Ryan Industries, this marks the fourth Star Trek game to be delisted in less than a year. Currently, the only Star Trek game still available on the PlayStation Store is the multiplayer title Star Trek Online, which has been around for over a decade. However, it’s uncertain how much longer that game will remain accessible considering recent delistings.
As of now, Star Trek: Legends remains available for purchase on other gaming platforms, but it is expected to be removed from those also shortly.
