Google has announced it will no longer permit advertisements for prediction market contracts and related products in the states of Michigan and New York. This policy change takes effect starting July 13, 2026, meaning businesses cannot run product ads for prediction markets within these regions. Additionally, Google has expanded its eligibility criteria for Shopping ads and free listings, now allowing these features to target a broader range of countries. Countries now eligible include Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, and Serbia.
