Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use Digital Phablet. By browsing the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
1. Who we are
Digital Phablet is an independent, ad-supported science site. We publish plain-English explainers, comparisons and interactive tools about space, weather and planetary science. You can read more on the About page.
2. Educational information only
Our pages are for general education and curiosity. They are not professional advice. Planetary science changes as new missions publish results, and some topics remain actively debated. Always check a primary source, such as NASA, ESA or a peer-reviewed paper, before relying on a figure for research, engineering, teaching or safety decisions.
3. Advertising and funding
The site is free to read. We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Ads are selected by Google and its partners, not by Digital Phablet. Advertising does not change our editorial choices, and we do not sell favourable coverage. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are handled.
4. Using the site
- You may read, link to and quote short passages from our pages with attribution.
- Do not scrape the site at a rate that disrupts service, attempt to bypass security, or use the site to distribute malware or unlawful material.
- Do not present our pages or tools as your own work, or remove copyright notices.
5. Intellectual property
The text, page design, original graphics and interactive code on Digital Phablet are protected by copyright. NASA, ESA and other mission images remain the property of their owners and are used under their published terms. You may not republish a complete page or tool without written permission.
6. External links
We link to external sites for sources and further reading. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site.
7. No warranty and limits of liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it accurate and online, but we do not promise that every page will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, Digital Phablet is not liable for losses arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the site or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact details on the About page.
