    The name for the Devil Comet comes from its appearance and cryovolcanic activity. The greenish glow is due to the release of dust and gas due to diatomic carbon. This feature of the comet makes it unique.

    Dr Robert Massey suggested using a telescope to view this phenomenon. He instructed astronomy lovers to find a clear spot away from city light for the best view.

    The Devil Comet appears every 71 years.

    The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a warning ahead of Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024, of potential disruptions and delays to the air traffic.

    The Solar eclipse will cross the North American region on April 8. It will pass over Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

    The total Solar Eclipse will begin over the South Pacific Ocean. The path of the eclipse will impact the territory of the United States from 1830 to 1940 UTC.

    The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has also warned the pilots of the possible impacts on air traffic and airport routes at the eclipse paths from April 7 to April 10.

    Statistics show that a person can survive for one to three hours in water at this temperature. The main concerns for experts are hyperthermia and cold shocks, which can occur when the body is in contact with cold water without protection.

    Earlier, the Director of Communications for the Baltimore City Fire Department, Kevin Cartwright, said the temperature at the port is around 30°F (-1°C) at 1:30 am ET.

    Baltimore Fire Department Chief James Wallace reported that at least two people have been rescued till now, one of whom is uninjured, and the other person has sustained some serious injuries.

    The Chinese Government has announced a new policy to put an immediate ban on governmental devices that use AMD and Intel chips.

    The Chinese government is also trying to completely stop the use of Windows OS, to make the locals adopt the Chinese-made technology.

    The report said that new technology restrictions were applied on December 26, 2023. The Chinese companies have now agreed to use chips and software that are made in China rather than foreign-made database software or chips.

    The Finance and IT Ministry of China (MIIT) has also redirected to the purchase of computers with the new “safe and reliable” guidelines when buying any software or computer.

    These guidelines include 10 CPUs that MIIT has listed as “safe to purchase“, the list includes the chips from Huawei and Phytium, and both of these chips are on the block list of the United States.

    The safe CPUs on the list are composed of Intel’s x86 ARM and the software is the variants of open-source Linux OS.

    A former Google employee, a software engineer, Linwei Ding was arrested in Newark, California on the charges of stealing artificial intelligence (AI) trade secrets from Google to benefit two Chinese companies.

    Ding, a Chinese national, could potentially be in prison for almost 10 years and have to pay a hefty fine of $250,000.

    Ding was hired by Google back in 2019, having access to the confidential AI supercomputing data centers of Google, between May 2022 and May 2023, he uploaded hundreds of files containing secret information to his personal Google Cloud account.

    The secrets include the architecture and functionality of TPU and GPU chips and systems, software for chip task execution and communication, and software containing thousands of chips in a supercomputer for AI technology and machine learning.

    As he continued his job at Google, Ding was offered the position of CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at a tech company in China that focuses on AI, which he later accepted.

    He also traveled to China to attend investor meetings to gather capital for the Chinese company he accepted the job offer to join as a CTO. He later founded a separate China-based company and started serving as the CEO of the company, which majorly focused on AI models powered by supercomputing chips.

    None of these companies were disclosed before he resigned on December 26, 2023.

    The case also presented the details of how Ding tried to trick the detection of data theft by copying data from Google’s source files into his office MacBook’s Apple Notes, converting them into PDFs, and later uploading them to an external account.

    After his resignation, Ding booked a one-way ticket to Beijing, China, he was about to depart, but Google found out about it and started investigating with the FBI, leading to the seizure of his electronic devices in January 2024.
