How To Complete the Music Hall Guard Challenge in Mina The Hollower

Mina the Hollower’s main city, Ossex, keeps changing as you gain more power-ups and upgrades, allowing access to more buildings. Some buildings are tricky to enter, and the Music Hall is probably the hardest. Here’s how to get in, and remember, think like a mouse.

How to Enter Ossex’s Music Hall

The Music Hall is protected by a fierce lizard named Kommodore. He’s very serious about keeping outsiders out. He blocks the entrance and even tries to grab you if you attempt to burrow past. The background tube makes it look more complicated than it really is.

Fortunately, you can enter the Music Hall whenever you want. The key is to remember you’re a mouse. Like everything in Mina the Hollower, the trick is to burrow — but you can’t just do it openly.

Instead, watch which characters go in and out of the hall. When one of them is heading inside, burrow underneath them. Move slowly and stay hidden as they walk through. This way, Kommodore won’t catch you. After getting inside, you should open the nearby tube to make future entries easier, so you won’t have to avoid Kommodore again.

Once inside, you’ll see many characters who appear throughout the game, including a couple of bosses. There’s also a chest behind the counter with Bonestone, and if you help Willis fulfill his wish of hearing Bayou music, you’ll receive a neat Trinket. While the area isn’t the most exciting part of the game, it does have some good items for you.

  • All Instruments You Can Play in Paralives: Completing and Solving

All Instruments You Can Play in Paralives: Completing and Solving

Paralives introduces a new simulation where you can build a different life, complete with various skills and goals to help you find happiness in a small countryside town. No two characters are the same, and a story-driven guide will help you explore all the possibilities at your fingertips.

Part of this experience involves learning skills that can boost your career or simply expand your hobbies. For example, we’ll explain how the music skill functions and the different instruments you can learn to play at home or out in the community.

Paralives is currently in Early Access, so some details might change. We will keep updating this guide as needed.

    What Is The Music Skill?

The music skill is a general skill that affects all individual instrument skills. Improving this skill requires a positive attitude, since your characters only earn skill points when practicing other talents if they are in a good mood.

You can also increase the music skill passively while sleeping if you have a parkour-making perk that allows for dreaming perks.

This skill influences how fast your characters get better at playing their instruments, no matter what instrument they are using.

How To Improve the Guitar Skill

You can buy a guitar from the build or buy menu and place it in your home. When your characters play it, they stand up and gradually improve their guitar and overall music skills.

How To Improve the Piano Skill

If buying a piano isn’t an option, your characters can play the piano located in town, near the library in a gazebo. Playing in public not only boosts the skill, but also gives you a chance to share your music with neighbors.

How To Improve the Triangle Skill

You can buy a triangle at a much lower price than other instruments. This simple instrument is a great beginner option for your musical journey and adds some variety to the usual set of instruments in life simulation games.

  • Music During Exercise Boosts Endurance Levels

Music During Exercise Boosts Endurance Levels

Scientists in Finland have discovered that listening to personally selected music during intense exercise can help people push themselves much further before feeling exhausted. The study showed that favorite tunes boosted endurance by nearly 20% during high-intensity cycling, offering an unexpectedly straightforward way to enhance workout performance. The research was published in the journal Psychology of Sport & Exercise by scientists from the University of Jyväskylä.

Many individuals already turn to music during workouts to make exercise more enjoyable. Whether at the gym, jogging, or cycling, music is a common tool to boost motivation and energy. But scientists wanted to determine whether music actually impacts physical performance or mainly influences mental perception.

To investigate, researchers recruited 29 recreationally active adults and had them complete two separate cycling tests at about 80% of their maximum effort. One session was performed in silence, while in the other, participants listened to their own playlist of energetic songs ranging from 120 to 140 beats per minute. Participants cycled until they could no longer continue.

Results clearly showed a difference: when listening to music, participants averaged 35.6 minutes before reaching fatigue, compared to just 29.8 minutes in silence—a nearly six-minute increase in endurance. The findings suggest that music significantly enhances exercise tolerance. While it didn’t make muscles physically easier to work, it helped participants endure discomfort and fatigue for a longer period.

Interestingly, physical responses such as heart rate and lactate levels—the latter being an indicator of muscular fatigue—were similar at the end of both sessions. Since lactate levels remained consistent, it appears that the body was under similar physical strain regardless of music. The key difference seems to lie in the brain’s perception of effort, not in actual physical exertion. Enjoyable music might distract from pain or boost emotional motivation, allowing people to push through harder.

Lead researcher Andrew Danso explained that music doesn’t actually increase fitness instantly but helps individuals better tolerate prolonged efforts. It may enable exercisers to stay within a “pain zone”—a tough mental state characterized by heavy breathing, muscle burning, and rising fatigue—that feels more manageable with preferred tunes.

Several theories support why music impacts performance. Fast rhythms might synchronize body movements and help maintain consistent pace, while favorite songs could activate reward and emotional centers in the brain, lifting mood and motivation. The fact that participants chose their own music—rather than using random background tracks—likely amplified these effects due to strong emotional connections.

These findings could have practical applications. Athletes might use personalized playlists to enhance training quality, and casual exercisers could find workouts more enjoyable and sustainable. For individuals who find exercise mentally draining, music might help make physical activity less daunting, encouraging long-term adherence. Moreover, from a public health perspective, encouraging exercise through affordable means like music could help reduce the risk of chronic illnesses such as obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and mental health issues.

This research highlights the powerful mind-body connection, illustrating that psychological factors like motivation, enjoyment, and emotional state play crucial roles in endurance. However, the study had limitations—it involved a small group of healthy, recreational adults and only examined high-intensity cycling. Further research is needed to see if these effects apply across different types of exercise and populations.

Still, the evidence suggests that music can meaningfully influence how long and how well people perform physically. For many, a carefully curated playlist may be a simple, cost-effective tool to improve workout experiences, bridging mental resilience and physical fatigue. Ultimately, while physical effort is demanding, the mental component—fuelled by music—can be a major factor in how long one can keep going and perhaps make exercise more enjoyable.

  • Where to Find All of Simms’ Recordings in Directive 8020: Completing and Solving

Where to Find All of Simms’ Recordings in Directive 8020: Completing and Solving

The many hidden secrets scattered throughout The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020 are truly remarkable. Supermassive Games thoughtfully leaves clues for players to discover, allowing you to piece together the story on your own.

One of these secrets is called The Simms Recordings. There are ten videos made by Pari Simms during her four years working as a Sleep Technician on the Cassiopeia. These recordings can be found in various places in Directive 8020, and they hint that Simms suspected something was wrong.

    All Simms Recording Locations

You first meet Pari Simms early in the game. She works as a Sleep Tech on the Cassiopeia and is killed relatively early—one of the few deaths that can’t be avoided no matter your choices. Her impact, however, remains throughout the game in many subtle ways.

She appears ten times across hidden videos called The Simms Recordings. To find them, look for screens embedded in the walls of the ship that you can interact with, similar to other secrets in the game.

The recordings begin with a Corinth logo, then show videos Simms records for her mother back on Earth. These videos show her talking about her days awake while the rest of the crew sleeps during their four-year journey to Tau Ceti F.

Examples of Recordings and Their Locations

    • Green Tea: Located in the Crew Quarters during Episode 2, “Best Laid Plans,” on a wall in Simms’ room, between her work desk and the door to the main area. This video shows Simms messaging her mother, mentioning a two-hour transmission delay.

    • Patches: Also in Episode 2, on the wall in the Ship’s “Shape” area. It discusses encrypted updates being sent from Earth to the ship.

    • Red Alert: Found early in Episode 2, during the scene where you control Young. It’s on the wall near the control panel when attempting to restore power.

    • Sweet Dreams: In the same episode, in the Crew Quarters hallway, upstairs to the left of the staircase. The video reveals that the return trip’s stasis fluid differs from what was used outbound.

    • Slingshot: During Episode 3, “The Sample,” in the Gear Up section of the ship, inside the Tool Shed. It’s located on the left side as you enter, near a device that opens locked doors.

    • Special Permission: Also in Episode 3, near the Mess Hall, down the stairs toward the large ship sign. This recording shows Simms discovering that Williams has a secret line to the Oracle.

    • Hostile Fire: Early during Episode 5, “Mr. Williams,” in the “Radio Silence” scene. It’s on the wall in the area where you try to reroute power to the elevator.

    • Field Agent: Found in Episode 6, “Hostile Takeover,” during a detour in the Geoscience Lab. Inside, override the door lock and find the video on the wall inside the room.

    • Rabbit Hole: In Episode 8, “Come True,” during the scene where you evade an impostor Eisele. It’s on the wall in the Locker Room, just as you’re rerouting power to escape.

    • At Peace: Also in Episode 8, in the passenger area called “The Way Back,” near where Simms’ connection to Carter and her mother influences her decision to stop investigating. The video is just ahead of the door you must pass through to leave the scene.

    Additional Tips

    • Finding all ten recordings earns the “Dear Mum…” trophy.
    • Many of these recordings can be found by carefully exploring the environment and interacting with designated screens.
    • Some secrets are well-hidden, requiring thorough exploration, especially toward the later stages of the game.

This collection of recordings offers crucial insights into Simms’ suspicions and the larger story unfolding onboard the Cassiopeia.

  • How To Import and Complete Your Music in Dead As Disco by Solving Issues

How To Import and Complete Your Music in Dead As Disco by Solving Issues

One of the key features of Dead as Disco is its Infinite Disco mode, allowing you to battle waves of enemies to the rhythm of any music you upload—whether it’s drum and bass or disco.

Infinite Disco’s flexibility is what makes Dead as Disco popular, but while uploading music is quite straightforward, there are some tips to maximize the feature. Here’s what you need to know.

    How to Upload Music

Dead as Disco’s music upload option is available exclusively in its Infinite Disco mode. To access it, select Infinite Disco from the main menu, just below the Encore Bar option. Once you’re in Infinite Disco, press RT to choose the Free Play mode, which bypasses the new challenge levels introduced in early access.

On this screen, you’ll see a button labeled “Add My Music” near the top. Clicking this allows you to upload your MP3 files into Dead as Disco. You can get MP3 files from various sources—such as downloading purchased songs from iTunes or using a YouTube converter that lets you paste YouTube links and download MP3 files.

If you need a good YouTube to MP3 converter, check out this extension: [YouTube to MP3 Converter]. It’s best to use lyric videos rather than music videos to avoid random noise between tracks.

    How to Edit Imported Tracks

After uploading your MP3, you can modify certain settings like the song’s name and, most importantly, its tempo, or BPM. The song’s BPM affects how fast you and your enemies move and attack in the game, so setting it close to the actual tempo helps keep everything synchronized.

Dead as Disco recommends keeping the tempo between 120 and 200 BPM for best results. If you don’t know the BPM of a song, a quick Google search can help. The game also offers options to fine-tune the BPM, such as adjusting the Beat Offset, which corrects small timing mismatches.

Once uploaded, you can access an advanced editor that allows deeper customization. The important feature here is the Calibrate button, which lets you tap along to the beat to sync the track perfectly.

In most cases, setting the correct tempo during upload is sufficient. After that, you’re ready to fight to the rhythm—simply select your track in Infinite Disco and start playing.

  • UK’s PRS Sues Valve Over Music Rights at Steam

UK’s PRS Sues Valve Over Music Rights at Steam

Following its legal dispute with Leigh Rothschild in February 2026, Digital Phablet is now dealing with another lawsuit from the UK’s PRS for Music. The organization claims that Digital Phablet does not hold the proper licenses for the music featured in games available or distributed through Steam.

According to IGN, PRS for Music asserts that Digital Phablet “never secured a license for the rights managed by PRS on behalf of its members, which include songwriters, composers, and music publishers,” since Steam’s inception in 2003.

UK’s PRS Takes Legal Action Against Digital Phablet Over Music Rights on Steam

The UK music copyright collective stated in a press release, “The legal proceedings will continue unless Digital Phablet engages constructively in negotiations and obtains the necessary licenses to cover the usage of PRS-represented repertoire, both retroactively and moving forward.”

The release also mentions “high-profile” titles such as Rockstar’s GTA series, Microsoft’s Forza Horizon series, and EA’s FIFA series. This has caught the gaming community off guard, as none of these titles are developed or published by Digital Phablet, which is renowned for titles like Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Half-Life, and Portal.

Many community members speculate that Digital Phablet is being intentionally targeted by multiple companies. One social media user on X (formerly Twitter) commented, “There’s no way all this crap against Digital Phablet isn’t coordinated; I refuse to believe it. What the hell is happening? It’s like someone flipped a switch and everyone’s suddenly out for blood.”

The argument from PRS is that competitors like Xbox operate under a “General Entertainment Online License” for their digital storefronts—a licensing agreement also utilized by major streaming services such as Netflix and Disney+, according to PRS’s official website.

Furthermore, PRS emphasized that it previously reached agreements with companies like Sony to cover music usage in games and related content across Europe.

Recently, Digital Phablet achieved a victory in court against Leigh Rothschild, who accused the company of patent infringements related to cloud streaming on Steam. The jury found Rothschild acted in bad faith and violated Washington State’s anti-patent troll legislation.

Many in the gaming community believe that Digital Phablet is under targeted harassment from various corporations.

    8. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Gordy Haab’s mastery with Lucasfilm shines again here. For fans of the franchise, his score complements the films flawlessly, reminiscent of John Williams’s iconic compositions. Troy Baker’s portrayal of Indy captures the spirit of the character, and the soundtrack reinforces that vibe beautifully.

    7. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
This highly anticipated sequel expands on its predecessor’s grandeur, including its music. Composers Jan Volta and Adam Sporka craft a richly orchestral score that vividly evokes 1400s Bohemia. While some pieces hint at danger, others are playful and upbeat, capturing the era’s essence.

    6. Dispatch
Who says episodic gaming is done? Developed by ex-Telltale staff, Dispatch is a fresh take on superhero adventures with a soundtrack that defies expectations. Instead of traditional heroic themes, Andrew Arcadi and Skyler Barto offer a synth-infused, industrial mix. Expect surprises ranging from yacht rock to piano ballads and even ambient horror—a captivating musical journey.

    5. Hollow Knight: Silksong
After a long wait, the sequel to Hollow Knight arrives, and with it, a massive, enchanting soundtrack. Christopher Larkin returns, delivering melodies that are lush and gothic, nearly doubling the length of the original. The music continues to set a mesmerizing tone, fueling the adventure.

    4. Ghost of Yōtei
This follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima captures a unique sound. While the first game featured expansive percussion and woodwinds, Yōtei shifts toward a lone-ranger vibe, utilizing regional instruments with a Western cowboy influence. The result is a compelling, atmospheric soundtrack that truly stands out.

    3. Sword of the Sea
Austin Wintory’s score for Sword of the Sea, developed with Giant Squid, demonstrates versatility. Unlike the aquatic Abzu or the action-packed The Pathless, this game’s soundtrack leans into electronic textures blended with Wintory’s signature piano and strings. The music’s breathtaking beauty and memorable motifs enrich the gameplay experience.

    2. Silent Hill F
New Silent Hill music is always a treat. Building on Akira Yamaoka’s legendary score for Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill F offers an intriguing evolution. Featuring compositions from Yamaoka and Kensuke Inage, the soundtrack explores fresh textures and sounds. With a different locale, the haunting ambient energy remains, but the musical voice shifts into new territory, making it distinctly unique within the franchise.

    1. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
No surprise here—Clair Obscur leads the list. Developed by France’s Sandfall Interactive, this RPG has garnered praise throughout 2025 and boasts an extraordinary soundtrack. With masterful use of strings, accordions, and the captivating vocals of Alice Duport-Percier, the music demands attention at every turn. The extensive eight-hour score from Lorien Testard offers a journey that’s both immersive and unforgettable.

    Honorable Mentions:
Despelote, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, DOOM: The Dark Ages, POOLS, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Blue Prince.

  • Top Locations for Completing and Solving Music Albums in Arc Raiders

The new Flickering Flames event is now live in Arc Raiders. Players can experience the Cold Snap event, complete a new project, and even have fun throwing snowballs at each other! Similar to the Expedition, you’ll need to gather various materials to donate. Many of these items are things you didn’t think much about before, but now they’re important.

One key item you’ll need is the Music Album. To finish the final step of the Flickering Flames project, you’ll need to collect two of these. Here’s where to find them so you don’t waste time wandering aimlessly.

    Where to Find Music Albums

Look for Music Albums in places that have either Residential or Commercial materials. This narrows your search to specific spots across the five maps. The best locations are:

    • Village on The Blue Gate
    • Departure Building at the Spaceport
    • Plaza Rosa or Grandiosa Apartments in Buried City

Of these, the Village on The Blue Gate is the best place to find any kind of Residential or Commercial items. It has many buildings with multiple apartments inside. Check lockers, dressers, cabinets, or suitcases—these often contain trinket-like materials needed for the project.

Spaceport also has good spots for Commercial loot. The Departure Building is particularly useful because it’s spread across several floors with offices and many desks to loot. The Arrival Building is similar and also worth exploring.

Buried City is probably the most consistent place for trinkets. Almost the entire southern part of the map is filled with Residential and Commercial sites. The Grandiosa Apartments and Plaza Rosa are obvious choices, especially the pharmacy on the second floor of Plaza Rosa, which has numerous dressers.

Many players overlook the second floor of the Hospital. There’s a room on the northern end with lots of lockers. While the Hospital mainly has medical supplies, these lockers often contain trinkets like the Music Album, making it a prime spot.

Try to find the Albums during Night Raids or the Cold Snap event if possible. These events increase the chances of finding rare items, so you’re more likely to collect multiple Albums in one run. Remember to bring an Augment and store the Albums in your Safe Pocket to ensure they stay safe for donation.

  • Bleeding Verse: AI Band With 800K Monthly Spotify Listeners

Bleeding Verse: AI Band With 800K Monthly Spotify Listeners

Digital Phablet – Artificial intelligence is now encroaching on the space of human musicians as well. An AI-created band named ‘Bleeding Verse’ quickly gained attention on social media after it was revealed that this artificial group has accumulated over 800,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with some of their tracks reaching millions of plays.

According to its official Spotify profile, Bleeding Verse “designs alt-metal anthems for the emotionally vulnerable” by incorporating “haunting vocals, immersive soundscapes, and lyrics drawn from the quietest corners of the soul.” The band’s description clarifies that while the lyrics are penned by people, the music itself is generated by AI. Furthermore, a review of their discography shows that Bleeding Verse has been releasing an extensive amount of AI-produced music, including a full-length album, several EPs, and singles, making it nearly impossible for human artists to compete.

In just two months, the AI-assisted band ‘Bleeding Verse’ has surpassed some of their major influences on Spotify, reaching approximately 897,000 monthly listeners. The Welsh post-hardcore band Holding Absence expressed their feelings about this achievement, stating, “It’s disheartening, it’s insulting – most importantly – it’s a wake-up call,” in response to the rise of Bleeding Verse.

Lead vocalist Lucas Woodland recently shared on X (formerly Twitter) his disappointment, writing, “So, an AI band modeled after us, citing us as an influence, has just overtaken us on Spotify in just TWO months.”

He added, “It’s shocking, it’s disheartening, it’s insulting – most importantly, it’s a wake-up call. Oppose AI music, or bands like us will cease to exist.” His post quickly garnered over two million views and a wave of supportive comments. Additionally, another user on X compiled a Spotify playlist featuring AI-generated bands, intended as a resource for music fans who wish to boycott artificial music.

Many smaller bands, such as Dayseeker and Holding Absence, already face tough economic challenges, including limited revenue from streaming platforms like Spotify. To sustain themselves, many are compelled to tour frequently, which can lead to burnout and exhaustion.

This growing concern has led advocates and dedicated listeners to encourage the support of genuine bands by purchasing their music and merchandise through platforms like Bandcamp.

As AI technology continues to evolve and become more widespread, counterfeit bands like Bleeding Verse are expected to proliferate. Unless the support and listenership for human artists decline, these AI acts will likely keep gaining ground, challenging the future of traditional music creation.
