If you’re waiting for AWS Simple Email Service (SES) to switch from the sandbox to production, here’s what you can do to move the process forward.
First, understand that after submitting your request for production access, AWS usually reviews your account and sends a response within a few days. If it’s been more than 4-5 days and you haven’t heard back, it’s a good idea to check the status of your request.
Start by logging into your AWS Management Console and navigating to the SES section. Look for any notifications or updates regarding your request. Sometimes, responses can get delayed or end up in your spam folder, so double-check those places as well.
If everything looks normal but you still haven’t received a reply, consider sending a follow-up email directly to the AWS support team. When doing this, include your request ID and a brief mention that you’ve already provided all necessary details — such as your use case, email frequency, and domain verification. Keep your message clear and polite, simply asking if there’s any additional information needed to approve your request.
In the meantime, ensure that your account details are accurate and that you have completed all prerequisites, like domain verification and setting up email authentication, which can sometimes speed up the review process.
Following up periodically with a polite email can help speed things up, but patience is key. Usually, AWS responds within a few days, but if it’s taking longer, reaching out directly is the best move.
