If a blackout has ever spoiled a full fridge of groceries, Jackery now has a solution. The company has unveiled FridgeGuard alongside three new HomePower Series batteries, providing backup power options tailored for various appliances.
FridgeGuard brings a sleek and modern design to refrigerator backup power. It is said to be the thinnest in the world, measuring just 2.6 inches thick and weighing only 23 pounds, which allows it to sit next to a refrigerator, lay flat, or be wall-mounted. Inside, a 1024Wh battery offers up to 15 hours of runtime—extendable to 30 hours with an optional expansion battery.
Thanks to a 10-millisecond automatic switch-over, your fridge hardly notices when power goes out. Built-in features include a 1600W peak output to handle compressor startups, surge protection, and a bypass mode to preserve battery health once fully charged. The FridgeGuard can also support home offices, aquariums, and CPAP machines. It is available exclusively at Costco for $559.99 for members.
For broader backup needs, Jackery introduces three models in the HomePower Series:
– The HomePower 3600 Pro Max, priced at $2,999, offers a base capacity of 3,584Wh, expandable up to 43kWh, and can be paired with a Manual Transfer Switch for automatic whole-home backup.
– The HomePower 2000 Plus v2, costing $1,799, emphasizes flexibility and solar charging, providing 2,048Wh that can be expanded to 12kWh through battery stacking.
– The HomePower 1000 v2, available at $849, is designed for home offices, featuring 1,024Wh and built-in surge protection for sensitive electronics.
All three units utilize LiFePO4 batteries rated for approximately 6,000 charge cycles, equivalent to about 16 years of use. The HomePower Series launches on June 23 across Jackery’s website and Amazon.
Jackery is entering a growing market for home backup batteries, especially for refrigerators. Earlier this month, Anker announced the Solix S2000, a compact power station claiming up to 35 hours of fridge runtime during a blackout.
