Sucker Punch Productions has revealed the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, bringing fresh content to the open-world action game on PS5. The updated version is set to launch just in time for the game’s first anniversary, featuring a new expansion, a game mode, and various quality-of-life enhancements. This announcement follows five months after the release of Ghost of Yōtei: Legends, the multiplayer mode.
The first addition is the narrative expansion, Echoes of Sekigahara. It weaves two timelines—one set during the historical Battle of Sekigahara, before the main story, and another in the present day where Atsu is visited by Nagato, an old acquaintance. This expansion introduces a new map, enemies, weapons, dyes, and more.
The second major feature is Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted, a solo combat survival mode. Players will undertake a roguelike journey, completing bounties, gaining perks, and unlocking characters including Atsu, Oyuki, and Nagato.

Players interested in accessing the new content without purchasing the complete edition can buy the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition Upgrade for $14.99. Pre-orders for the full edition made before September 30, 2026, will include early access to the Sakai Armor starting on October 1, 2026. Pre-ordering grants immediate access to the base game and Legends, with the new content becoming available on October 1, 2026.
A new mode called Beauty of Yōtei will also be added, offering a “screensaver-like” view of Edo’s landscapes at no extra cost to current players.
