A forgotten RPG from 2019 is unexpectedly getting a remake for the PS5, and its release date is coming up quickly. Dungeon of Dragon Knight was released on PC seven years ago but didn’t achieve significant commercial success. Despite that, the game’s developer remains committed to bringing this classic dungeon crawler to current-generation consoles.
Originally created and published by HexGameStudio, the remake has been developed solo by Hector Xiang. He has acknowledged that the game didn’t sell “explosively” back in 2019. Nevertheless, Xiang believes Dungeon of Dragon Knight deserves another shot. The revamped version will be available on the PlayStation Store starting Monday, August 10, 2026. There will also be a 20% discount for launch. It’s not yet clear whether this discount applies to all PS5 users or only PS Plus members, but more details will come soon.
