Will your Mortal Shell 2 beta progress carry into the full game?
Only some parts of your beta progress will transfer. If you reach the Marrow Keep during the beta, you’ll get the option to skip the prologue when starting the final game. This means you’ll begin right after your first visit to the Keep, skipping the initial intro scenes. The fight with the Tar Golem in the beta marks this milestone.

However, all your earned items—like currency, weapons, Shells, collectibles, and other found gear—will be wiped when the game releases. Luckily, you won’t lose anything from the prologue because it doesn’t contain important pickups. But any items, progress, or keys from the Mushroom Village, including your progress in that early area, will be lost.

Mortal Shell 2 beta rewards
One exclusive reward for beta players is the Flayed Harbinger skin. This fierce, blood-red costume can be equipped on your character, giving you a distinctive, haunting look whenever you change shells or lose your current one.

To unlock this reward, simply play the beta for at least 30 minutes. Afterward, the skin becomes available in the full game. The game doesn’t directly notify you of this in-game or through your Steam account, but as long as you use the same Steam account for both the beta and the full version, your progress will be saved, and the skin will unlock automatically once the full game is released.
