Sony Interactive Entertainment unexpectedly added a major PS5 action game to the PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup for August 2026. Developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Helldivers 2 is now available on PS Plus, ahead of the rest of the month’s offerings.
This release coincides with the launch of the Helldivers 2: Devoid of Liberty update.
“Venturing into the Void presents a unique challenge. High Command has ordered reconnaissance missions to gather as much intel as possible to gain an advantage,” Sony explained. “The planets within the Void’s reach have undergone strange mutations, leaving a permanent mark. Reports suggest these changes are even more pronounced the closer the planets are to the Void itself. What secrets lie within?”

Sony will reveal the full PS Plus Extra and Premium August lineup later today, including the release schedule for each game. It’s already confirmed that Premium members will receive a popular PlayStation 2 classic on August 18.
