Digital Phablet – Syrian actor Osama Al Sayed Youssef has passed away at the age of 65, according to a statement from the Syrian Artists Syndicate.
The Syrian Artists Syndicate expressed its condolences over the loss of the renowned actor Osama Al Sayed Youssef, who died at 65, leaving behind an influential career in Syrian theater and television, both artistically and administratively.
The organization announced via Facebook, “The Damascus branch of the Artists Syndicate reports the passing of our esteemed colleague, artist Osama Al Sayed Youssef. Details regarding the funeral, burial arrangements, and condolence periods will be shared later.”

About Osama Al Sayed Youssef:
Born in Idlib, Syria, Osama Al Sayed Youssef graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1982.
His notable television works include “Al-Nadam” (2016), “Tale’ Al-Fidda” (2011), and “Khan Al-Harir” (1996 & 1998). He also starred in the series “Brokar.”
He served as the director of the National Theatre in Aleppo from 2003 to 2016 and took part in leading the organization and oversight of various editions of the Youth Theatre Festival and the Festival of Love.
