Google’s Merchant Center is experiencing API problems, leading to temporary delays in product feed submissions. This update was officially announced through notifications on the Merchant Center portal and its status page.
Google confirmed that “Currently, an API issue is preventing updates in your Merchant Center. Our team is actively working to resolve this as quickly as possible. Once resolved, submissions will automatically resume. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
The status page was last updated yesterday, showing the message: “Investigating reports of issues with Content API for Shopping. More details will be provided soon.”
On LinkedIn, Bia Camargo shared about this situation, noting, “If you’re stressing out over Merchant Center feeds, you’re not alone. Google is facing an API outage that’s causing delays in product submission and feed updates across Merchant Center integrations.”
