One of Xbox’s popular action-adventure games has officially launched on the PlayStation Store today, offering PlayStation 5 users a chance to immerse themselves in its visually impressive and unique gameplay. The game features PS5-exclusive enhancements, allowing players to experience the game’s vibrant and striking world more vividly.
Grounded 2 is now available for purchase on the PlayStation Store, offered as a digital standard edition for $29.99. This release arrives amid the game’s ongoing early access phase, as confirmed by previous announcements from the developers.
The PS5 version provides several enhancements to deepen immersion, including support for online co-op play with up to four players via a valid PS Plus subscription. While multiplayer is optional, players can also choose to enjoy the game solo in single-player mode.
The game is optimized for PS5 Pro and takes advantage of the DualSense controller’s wireless capabilities, including haptic feedback and adaptive trigger effects. It also features customizable controls, such as adjustable stick inversion, and offers accessibility options that eliminate the need for rapid button presses, motion controls, or touch inputs.
Additionally, Grounded 2 offers adjustable difficulty settings, enabling players to tailor the challenge to their preference. The developers have also integrated feedback from the earlier Grounded version to improve overall gameplay experience.
What Sets Grounded 2 Apart from Today’s Survival Games
Grounded 2 distinguishes itself with a vibrant environment and engaging theme. Players find themselves shrunk in Brookhollow Park, surrounded by numerous insects that can be either allies or threats.
Unlike its predecessor, this new open-world adventure supports both single-player and multiplayer co-op gameplay, with the addition of rideable insect companions called buggies that assist during combat and exploration.
The game also transforms the familiar park setting into a sprawling playground, expanding opportunities for exploration. According to the official trailer, players can “explore above and below the water’s surface, uncover new locations, face new dangers, and traverse land and water with the all-new amphibious Toe-biter Buggy.”
