A new Warhammer 40,000 game is on the horizon, with Kasedo Games and Bulwark Studios revealing its release date.
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II, the follow-up to the 2018 title, is scheduled for launch on May 21, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will be priced at $39.99 at launch, with an exclusive Omnissiah edition that includes a digital artbook, an original soundtrack, and an in-game legacy soundtrack.
Building on the turn-based mechanics of its predecessor, the new installment plunges players back into the ongoing technological war in the Warhammer universe. This time, players can choose between the Adeptus Mechanicus and Necron factions. The sequel introduces fresh environmental mechanics, offering new ways to maneuver armies and tactics.
The game’s official description states: “After centuries of dormancy, Vargard Nefershah awakens her dynasty’s legions to wipe out the Adeptus Mechanicus forces that have unknowingly settled on her world. Across the galaxy, Magos Dominus Faustinius is called upon to leverage his expertise and prevent the Necrons from succeeding. What begins as a conflict soon escalates into a crucible of unforeseen importance, attracting external forces that are even more dangerous.”
Alongside the announcement, a new gameplay deep dive video was released, showcasing various mechanics and featuring insights into two dominant characters. Check out the video below:
