Top Smart Home Upgrades To Do Before Your Summer Break

Summer often brings a refreshing change to routines for homeowners across the United States. Family vacations, weekend retreats, and longer outdoor days mean more time away and fewer chances to keep an eye on your property. While it’s a season for relaxation and enjoying the warm weather, daily responsibilities continue. Packages still arrive, visitors might drop by unexpectedly, and trusted family members, housekeepers, or pet-sitters may need access while you’re away.

Modern smart home technology simplifies these situations. Today’s connected devices do much more than record footage or send motion alerts. They enable homeowners to monitor outdoor spaces around the clock, stay updated on key activities, communicate remotely with visitors, and control access without being physically present. Instead of constantly calling or wondering if everything is in order, setting up the right system offers increased visibility, convenience, and peace of mind during the season.

With a wide array of options available, choosing the best setup depends on individual needs. Here are four EZVIZ devices designed to help homeowners stay connected to their property without adding extra tasks to their holiday plans.

    ### Eliminate Outdoor Blind Spots with the HB8 Lite Series

Leaving home for a few days shouldn’t mean losing sight of what’s happening outside. Whether you’re checking on a driveway, garden, or front door, the EZVIZ HB8 Lite Series makes it easier to stay informed about activity on your property while away.

It features a motorized 340° horizontal pan and 80° vertical tilt, helping to eliminate blind spots outside and capturing every detail in crisp 2K+ resolution. Powered by Wi-Fi 6 and efficient H.265 video compression, it offers smooth operation while reducing storage needs. Instead of activating only during motion detection, the Always-On Video Mode 2.0 (AOV) provides continuous visual monitoring. Its AI-powered person and vehicle detection, Smart Tracking, and smart alerts help you focus on important activity. A built-in 5,200mAh rechargeable battery can last up to 108 days under normal use or up to 15 days with continuous time-lapse recording. An optional solar panel and local microSD storage (up to 512GB) help minimize ongoing maintenance.

For different connectivity needs, the series includes both the HB8 Lite and HB8 Lite 4G. While both share core features, the HB8 Lite 4G adds Wi-Fi and cellular (4G) connectivity, making it especially suitable for vacation homes, rural properties, or remote locations where Wi-Fi is limited. This flexibility ensures reliable monitoring wherever broadband isn’t guaranteed.

    ### Smarter Security for Large Properties with the HB90x Dual 4G Kit

Designed for expansive properties, the EZVIZ HB90x Dual 4G Kit features a dual-camera system with a solar panel, offering robust protection where broadband access isn’t always available. Perfect for remote farms, cabins, or sprawling lots, this kit allows you to track incoming vehicles along long driveways and monitor surrounding woodlands effortlessly.

The dual-camera setup provides wide-area coverage combined with close-up tracking. It automatically switches between Wi-Fi and 4G networks to maintain a reliable connection, even in remote locations. Enhanced nighttime performance with ColorFULL Night Vision provides vivid full-color images after dark without harsh floodlights. With smart tracking and expansive coverage, this system is ideal for trustworthy security over large outdoor spaces regardless of local internet availability.

    ### View Visitors and Control Access with EZVIZ HP7 Pro Doorphone

Managing entry to a gated property can be tricky when no one is home to open the gate. The EZVIZ HP7 Pro offers homeowners a convenient way to see visitors, communicate remotely, and grant access without needing to be physically present. It simplifies everyday entry management, eliminating the need to be at the gate whenever someone arrives. The system supports secure local Palm Vein recognition, QR code access for visitors, RFID tags for family members, and PIN codes, allowing authorized users to unlock doors without physical keys.

Equipped with a 4K ultra-HD camera, it captures clear footage of visitors. Its ColorFULL Night Vision maintains visibility after dark, while two-way communication allows homeowners to speak with visitors via the EZVIZ app. The system also allows remote unlocking from anywhere, making property access simple and controllable. An indoor display consolidates visitor alerts, access management, and connected EZVIZ devices, simplifying day-to-day monitoring.

    ### Monitor Your Front Door with EZVIZ EP8 Ultra Doorbell

Imagine heading on a long-awaited vacation and receiving a notification about someone at your door. The EZVIZ EP8 Ultra helps you stay connected to every interaction at your doorstep, enabling remote viewing, response, and updates from anywhere.

Designed to address blind spots common with traditional video doorbells, the EP8 Ultra combines a 3K+ front-facing camera with a secondary 1080p lens for a comprehensive view. It begins recording activity even before the doorbell is pressed and features on-device AI for human and package detection, face recognition, and Color Night Vision for clear visuals in low light.

The doorbell supports two-way video and audio, allowing homeowners to speak with visitors remotely. Its AI-powered interactive display and quick auto-replies add a personal touch even when no one is home. Local AI processing enhances privacy, while Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, built-in storage, and detachable batteries create an easy, reassuring experience for smart entry management.

Smart home technology should empower homeowners to enjoy their vacations and outdoor adventures without constantly worrying about what’s happening back home. With the right setup — including outdoor cameras, smart entry solutions, and video doorbells working together — it’s easier to monitor, control, and safeguard your property, so you can focus on relaxing and making the most of your time away.

Expect to die repeatedly, but there’s more to improve than just your reflexes. The game features a skill tree with various stat boosts and perks you can unlock to help you progress.

This skill tree is called the Armor Matrix, and you’ll access it from your hub after reaching a certain point in the story. To upgrade, you’ll need Lucenite and Halcyon, which are scattered across different biomes. In this guide, we’ll cover some of the best Armor Matrix upgrades to prioritize early on in Saros.

    ### Best Armor Matrix Upgrades to Unlock First

The Alterations tree in Saros is mostly straightforward, with a few branches appearing as you advance. We’ll focus on specific upgrades that are especially useful, but keep in mind you’ll need to unlock certain nodes before you can purchase others.

    | Matrix Upgrade | What It Does | Cost | Why It’s Important |
    |————————-|————————————————————–|—————–|—————————————————————-|
    | Greater Integrity | Increases your maximum armor integrity by +30 | 200 Lucenite | Enemies can quickly drain your health, so boosting armor is vital. Some upgrades may cost Halcyon instead of Lucenite. |
    | Shield Amplifier | Your shield can now trap and absorb power from corrupted projectiles | 1 Halcyon | When faced with Corrupted projectiles that lower your health, this helps you gain some benefit from them. |
    | Second Chance | Revives you once after being knocked out during a run | 2 Halcyon | Saros can be tough. This upgrade, earned after defeating the first boss, extends your chances and survival in runs. Keep in mind, getting up affects your overall run results. |
    | Lucenite Saver | Reduces the amount of Lucenite lost upon death | 1 Halcyon | Since many nodes require Lucenite, saving it makes a big difference for your progression. |
    | Proficiency Enhancement | Boosts Proficiency by 1, unlocking higher-level weapons | 300 Lucenite | Better weapons and higher levels are key to being well-equipped for tough encounters. |
    | Increased Power | Adds +5 to your maximum Power stat | 200 Lucenite | Power influences your weapon damage. Focusing on this increases your offensive capabilities. |
    | Key Storage | Starting a run with a key | 2,000 Lucenite | Helps you open more containers early on, saving time and resources. |
    | Prophet | Gains +1 Resilience, +1 Command, and +1 Drive per Proficiency level | Defeat Prophet | Boost your essential attributes before starting each run by defeating this boss. Enhances your overall performance. |
    | Restoration Upgrade | Makes Aether, your healing item, more effective | 1 Halcyon | Aether heals your health, so boosting its efficacy can prevent big damage setbacks from attacks. |
    | Second Chance Enhancement | Increases the health you recover upon revival | 1 Halcyon | Improves your chances of surviving after being knocked down, especially useful in tough fights. |

Remember, the upgrades you choose are permanent and cannot be refunded later. It’s a good idea to learn where to farm Halcyon and Lucenite effectively to make the most of these enhancements as you progress through Saros.

  • Top Upgrades to Focus on First in Vampire Crawlers for Completing and Solving

Top Upgrades to Focus on First in Vampire Crawlers for Completing and Solving

After starting out in the dungeons of Vampire Crawlers, you’ll face some tough fights that could send you to the Game Over screen often. Luckily, you can unlock upgrades using your coins, which permanently boost your stats for any character you play, such as increasing health, adding armor, or earning more experience points, among other benefits.

These upgrades, called Power Ups, are available early in the game. However, most of them are costly and require a decent amount of Gold. Below, we’ll go over the key upgrades to focus on first in Vampire Crawlers.

Top Power Ups to Unlock First

Here are ten Power Ups we recommend you prioritize:

Note: If you don’t see some of these Power Ups available, you might need to complete specific levels or meet certain requirements in the Unlocks building.

Power Up Starting Price Why It’s Useful Duration
Duration 250 Your Crawler cards have strong effects if you adapt to how they work. Aside from Spellbinder cards and Gems, upgrading this helps them stay longer.
Growth 750 Leveling up in dungeons and earning XP is essential for gaining new cards and Gems. Increasing this Power Up speeds up that process.
Max Health 450 A straightforward one. The longer you survive, the better. Increasing total HP helps with that.
Skip 312 Do you often get rewards you don’t want, and run out of rerolls? Skip lets you avoid choosing a reward and instead gain extra XP. You’ll get fewer cards, but your deck will improve faster.
Recovery 1,557 Early in the game, healing mainly comes from chickens, which are rare. This Power Up allows you to heal up to three points after each encounter.
Armor 1,333 As you progress into tougher dungeons, enemies will attack more often. Increasing your armor can help reduce damage taken.
Cooldown 3,583 Each rank gives you one extra Mana — very helpful, especially at the start. Maxing this out lets you perform powerful combos.
Crawler Slot 3,551 Playing with multiple Crawlers changes your strategy completely. This upgrade lets you bring two or three into the fight at once.
Magnet 2,091 Magnet increases your Draw effect by one, giving you more cards in hand, which is always beneficial.
Revival 4,091 This is like a second chance. If you die during a run, you can revive with full health by purchasing this Power Up.

You can reset your Power Ups anytime by clicking the red button at the bottom left; this allows you to try different upgrade combinations as you progress.

  • Google Home Gets Upgrades To Enhance Gemini Interactions

Google Home Gets Upgrades To Enhance Gemini Interactions

The shift from the old Google Assistant to the new Gemini-powered Google Home has come with its share of challenges. Google has been actively working to smooth out these issues, and the latest updates for April 2026 aim to make your smart home interactions feel much more natural and human-like.

    ### No More “Gemini, I Wasn’t Finished”

One of the most notable improvements addresses a common annoyance with voice assistants: being interrupted mid-sentence. Google has enhanced Gemini’s ability to detect when you’ve finished speaking by considering your speaking tempo. Whether you speak slowly or quickly, the system is now better at waiting until you complete your command before responding.

This enhancement also includes a new “contextual understanding” layer. Gemini is now more capable of interpreting surrounding cues to accurately grasp what you want. Whether you’re requesting to dim the lights, set a pizza timer, or play a specific music genre, it’s less likely to misfire or ask unnecessary clarifications. Additionally, for simple inquiries such as the current time or date, Google has optimized the backend to deliver faster responses than before.

    ### Improved Lists and Smarter Music Features

Beyond conversational improvements, Gemini is boosting productivity and entertainment capabilities. Managing your shopping lists has become more versatile, allowing you to use natural language commands to move items between lists. For example, you can tell Gemini to “remove all vegetables from my shopping list” or convert a note into a checklist more effortlessly.

Music recognition has also been refined to better identify your personal playlists, even in noisy environments or if the song name isn’t specified perfectly. It also reduces errors such as mismatched artists. For iPhone users, live streams from Nest cameras should now be more dependable after these updates, and scrolling through video timelines will be clearer and smoother.

Finally, the update introduces new Parental Controls and Digital Wellbeing features within the Home app. These tools let you set filters and schedule “quiet periods” to disconnect from Gemini when needed. Though these updates may seem incremental, they significantly enhance Gemini’s integration into daily life, making it feel more like a seamless part of your home environment rather than just another piece of technology.

  • MTG Strixhaven Quandrix Unlimited Commander Deck: Completing & Solving Tips

MTG Strixhaven Quandrix Unlimited Commander Deck: Completing & Solving Tips

If you’re thinking about getting one of the new Magic: The Gathering Secrets of Strixhaven Commander pre-constructed decks for your next game night, the mysterious Quandrix Unlimited green and blue deck is a solid choice.

Although the complete deck list isn’t out yet, we have a good idea of some of the key cards and mechanics it will include. If you enjoy boosting your creatures with +1/+1 counters and casting X-cost spells for maximum benefit, this deck aligns with that playstyle.

    Quandrix Unlimited Deck List

While we wait for the full list, here are some cards we know are likely to be in the deck:

    • Zimone, Infinite Analyst
    • Sol Ring
    • Arcane Signet
    • Talisman of Curiosity

The full deck list is expected to be revealed between late March and early April, and we will update as more spoilers come out.

    Commander Breakdown

The main commander for this deck is Zimone, Infinite Analyst. This card has a lot of text, so understanding its abilities is important before you jump into a game:

    • Whenever you cast your first spell with an X cost each turn, it costs one less mana for each +1/+1 counter on Zimone.
    • When you cast your first X spell each turn, you also put two +1/+1 counters on Zimone.

This makes Zimone a powerful and potentially game-breaking card, especially as you add more counters to it. Focus on creating ways to add counters to Zimone, so you can reduce the cost of your X-spells and cast bigger spells more easily, rapidly shifting the board state in your favor.

    Deck Strategy & Themes

The deck’s main strategy revolves around two key mechanics:

    • Placing many +1/+1 counters on your creatures.
    • Casting X-cost spells to maximize their impact.

Zimone only places counters on itself, so you will need other ways to buff your other creatures. Timing your X-spells is crucial—they can be used for various effects like creating tokens or dealing damage to opponent’s creatures. It’s best to cast these spells selectively, choosing the right moment to get the most benefit rather than just going for maximum value every time.

    Upgrades

There are many ways to boost this deck, especially by adding impactful X-spells. Some potential upgrades may include reprints of powerful cards, once we see the official list.

    Notable Upgrade Options:

    Nissa, Steward of Elements
This planeswalker is unique because it’s cast with an X-value, giving it a dynamic entry. If you can cast her with at least seven X, her -6 ability becomes available immediately, allowing you to turn two lands into 5/5 flying, haste creatures that stay on the battlefield. This can deal a lot of damage quickly. Her other abilities help with drawing cards and finding lands, making her a flexible upgrade.

    Repulsive Mutation
An instant that’s great as both an offensive tool and a counterspell. It puts X +1/+1 counters on a creature you control and counters an opponent’s spell unless they pay mana equal to the highest power among your creatures. For example, if you have a creature at 12/12, the opponent must pay 12 mana to cast their spell, effectively making it very hard to counter your big threats.

    Zimone, Paradox Sculptor
Consider using a different version of the commander for additional synergy. This version can put a +1/+1 counter on up to two creatures at the start of your turn, and with some mana and tapping, can double the counters on those creatures or artifacts, further amplifying your growth.

    Hydroid Krasis
A versatile X-spell that gains you life and draws cards based on X. When cast, you gain half of X in life and draw that many cards, then it enters with X +1/+1 counters, flying, and trample—making it both a big threat and a sustain source.

This deck revolves around stacking counters and casting impactful X-spells at the right moments to dominate the game. Keeping your focus on speeding up your threats and controlling the pacing with well-timed spells will give you a strong edge.

  • Strixhaven Witherbloom Pestilence: Completing Commander Deck & Upgrades

Strixhaven Witherbloom Pestilence: Completing Commander Deck & Upgrades

Witherbloom is one of the most intriguing colleges at Strixhaven because of its conflicting beliefs. These contrasts are clearly shown in the Witherbloom Pestilence Commander pre-con deck. Out of five new Magic: The Gathering pre-constructed decks, this one stands out if you’re interested in balancing life gain with sacrifice mechanics.

Led by a Dryad Druid named Dina, this green and black Commander deck focuses on strengthening creatures just to sacrifice them for a greater purpose. Here’s what we know so far about the deck and some ideas for improvements.

    Witherbloom Pestilence Deck List

As with most Secrets of Strixhaven pre-cons, aside from Prismari Artistry which was leaked, detailed information about the Witherbloom Pestilence deck remains limited. We’ll keep you updated once more spoilers are available.

Sample Cards in the Deck Include:

    • Dina, Essence Brewer — a legendary creature costing 1 black, 1 green, and 1 colorless.
    • Sol Ring — an artifact costing 2 colorless.
    • Arcane Signet — another artifact costing 2 colorless.
    • Talisman of Resilience — an artifact costing 2 colorless.

    Commander Breakdown

Dina, Essence Brewer, serves as the deck’s Commander. Her main ability allows you to draw a card each time you sacrifice a creature, but only once per turn. This means you can sacrifice creatures on your opponent’s turn to draw cards if you prefer.

Additionally, for two mana and tapping Dina, you can sacrifice a creature and gain X life while putting X +1/+1 counters on another creature you control. For example, sacrificing a 4/4 creature grants four life and adds four +1/+1 counters to a different creature.

    Deck Themes & Strategy

The college’s conflicting beliefs stem from Dean Lisette, who promotes nurturing and protecting all life, versus Dean Valentin, who sees death and decay as natural and essential. This duality is reflected in the deck’s mechanics, which pair life gain with sacrifice.

Expect cards that focus on gaining +1/+1 counters, interacting with the graveyard, and draining opponents’ life totals. The deck is likely built around developing strong creatures to deal big damage, then sacrificing them to maintain high life totals or activate other battlefield effects that harm opponents.

    Upgrades

While specific cards haven’t been identified for removal, updates will be provided once the full deck list is revealed. Some cards may be reprints included in the deck, which could be swapped out if necessary. Expect the complete deck list to be available in late March or early April.

    Dina, Soul Steeper

It’s notable that many cards from Strixhaven are useful in this new Commander deck, including Dina, Soul Steeper. This 1/3 legendary creature drains one life from each opponent whenever you gain life. Its ability to sacrifice other creatures and add their power to Dina until the end of turn makes it a valuable component of the deck.

Infuse With Vitality is a common instant spell that complements the deck’s themes. It grants a creature deathtouch and allows it to return tapped to its owner’s hand when it dies. This lets you sacrifice small creatures in combat, knowing they will return afterward, and also triggers life gain.

Tend the Pests fits well too; it sacrifices a creature and produces X pest tokens, where X is the sacrificed creature’s power. These tokens are pitiful on their own, but when they die, you gain extra life.

Diregraf Rebirth is a versatile sorcery costing five mana that gets cheaper as creatures die during the turn. It allows you to return a creature from your graveyard to the battlefield, with a flashback option for seven mana, providing flexibility for resurrection strategies.

  • Strixhaven Lorehold Spirit Commander Deck List & Completing Upgrades

Strixhaven Lorehold Spirit Commander Deck List & Completing Upgrades

Five new Commander pre-constructed decks are arriving in Secrets of Strixhaven, and we’re here to break down each one so you can decide which fits your play style best.

If your strategy involves graveyard recursion, token creation, or if you have a soft spot for Lorehold College, the Lorehold Spirit deck is an excellent choice. We’ll also look at possible upgrades, especially from the white and red mana pools.

    Lorehold Spirit Deck List

Much about the full deck list is currently unknown, unlike the Prismari Artistry deck which leaked earlier. More details are expected during spoiler season.

Here’s what we know so far about the deck’s key cards:

    Card Name Card Type Cost
Quintorius, History Chaser Planeswalker 1 Red, 1 White + 2 Colorless
    Arcane Signet Artifact 2 Colorless
    Sol Ring Artifact 2 Colorless
Talisman of Conviction Artifact 2 Colorless

Full deck details are anticipated in late March or early April.

    Commander Breakdown

The Commander for this deck is Quintorius, History Chaser, which is a planewalker, not a legendary creature—a rare choice for Commander decks that can work if explicitly specified. Planeswalkers as Commanders are uncommon but powerful when used correctly.

Quintorius’s abilities clearly define the deck’s focus: whenever cards leave your graveyard, you get to create a 3/2 white and red spirit token. Its +1 ability allows you to discard a card, draw two, and mill one, helping to fill your graveyard and draw more cards to interact with it. The -4 grants all your spirit tokens vigilance and double strike, making them more formidable in combat.

    Deck Theme & Strategy

From the packaging and the Commander, the deck centers around two main themes: casting cards from the graveyard and generating spirit tokens. Mechanics like flashback, unearth, dredge, or delve are likely included, as they all involve interacting with your graveyard. While most focus on creature cards, non-creature cards that leave your graveyard can also be part of the strategy, especially creature cards that can return to the battlefield repeatedly, creating recurring threats for opponents.

Enhancing your spirits and creatures with spells or enchantments to boost their power is also expected, making your tokens even more menacing alongside your graveyard recursion.

    Upgrades

We can’t specify which cards will be removed until the full deck list is available, but we can suggest existing Commander-legal cards that would complement this deck.

    Some promising options include:

    • Sacred Fire: This flashback spell deals two damage to any target and restores two life. Its initial cost is low, making it good for early removal of small creatures. Its flashback cost is six mana, but it can also help when your life is low by dealing damage and creating a spirit token if Quintorius is on the battlefield.

    • Quintorius, Field Historian: A legendary creature that shares the same ability as Quintorius, creating a spirit token whenever you leave cards from your graveyard. Having both on the battlefield means you’ll consistently generate two spirits each time you interact with your graveyard, and it also boosts spirits’ power by +1/+0.

    • Firemane Angel: A 4/3 flying, first strike creature that gains you one life at the start of each upkeep if it’s on the battlefield or in your graveyard. Recasting it from the graveyard costs ten mana but can be done during your upkeep, providing a way to activate Quintorius’s talent repeatedly. Accumulating life over time can be a useful buffer.

    • Rally The Peasants: An instant that gives all creatures +2/0 until end of turn, ideal for boosting your spirits’ attack power. It has a flashback cost similar to its original, allowing you to cast it twice, maximizing its value during the match.

The deck will likely revolve around mechanics that involve cards leaving your graveyard, with creature cards that can repeatedly return to play being particularly disruptive for opponents. Expect numerous ways to enhance your spirits and creatures, either through instant spells or enchantments, to strengthen your tokens and overall board presence.

  • Strixhaven Prismari Artistry: Completing and Solving MTG Commander Decks

Strixhaven Prismari Artistry: Completing and Solving MTG Commander Decks

If you’re part of Prismari, the Strixhaven College, you’ll likely want to check out the Secrets of Strixhaven Commander pre-constructed deck. This deck focuses on red and blue mana, emphasizing spellcasting and generating elemental creatures to attack your opponents.

This deck appears ideal for aggressive players who want to flood the board with spells and creatures to overwhelm their opponents. If this matches your style, let’s go over its main themes and some ideas for upgrades.

    Prismari Artistry Deck List

While some cards in this deck have been leaked, and we expect to see more revealed as spoiler season continues, the current list includes several key cards. According to a leak, more cards are confirmed, but additional cards like Prismari Pianist, Gleaming Shallows, Renegade Bull, and a card ending with Flocking are expected but haven’t been fully revealed yet. Until we see these cards, we won’t include them in the official list, especially since names and abilities could change.

Here’s some of the confirmed cards expected in the deck:

    Card Name Type Cost
Rootha, Mastering the Moment Legendary Creature 1 Blue, 1 Red + 2 Colorless
Talisman of Creativity Artifact 2 Colorless
    Sol Ring Artifact 2 Colorless
Cursed Mirror Artifact 1 Red + 2 Colorless
    Arcane Signet Artifact 2 Colorless
Archmage Emeritus Creature 2 Blue + 2 Colorless
    Brazen Borrower / Petty Theft Creature / Instant 2 Blue + 1 Colorless / 1 Blue + 1 Colorless
Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer Legendary Artifact Creature 1 Blue, 1 Red + 4 Colorless
Curiosity Crafter Creature 1 Blue + 3 Colorless
Goldspan Dragon Creature 2 Red + 3 Colorless
    Fabled Passage Land N/A
    Frostboil Snarl Land N/A
    Hall of Oracles Land N/A
Creative Technique Sorcery 1 Red + 4 Colorless
Dance With Calamity Sorcery 1 Red + 7 Colorless
Surge to Victory Sorcery 2 Red + 4 Colorless
    Twinflame Sorcery 1 Red + 1 Colorless
Volcanic Salvo Sorcery 2 Red + 10 Colorless

Note: These are the reprints suggested by the leak, but the final deck may include additional or different cards, including the aforementioned new ones. The specifics on those new cards are yet to be fully known.

    Commander Breakdown

The commander for this deck is Rootha, Mastering the Moment. She is an Orc Sorcerer who, at the start of combat, creates a red/blue elemental with flying and haste. Its power and toughness are equal to the highest mana cost of a spell (instant or sorcery) you cast during your first main phase.

Rootha only displays red and blue mana symbols, so the deck must include only red, blue, or hybrid mana cards. For example, if you cast a 12-mana Volcanic Salvo during your first main phase, Rootha will create a 12/12 elemental token with flying and haste. Opponents will need to be ready for sudden large attacks whenever Rootha is on the battlefield.

    Deck Theme & Strategy

This deck revolves around casting spells early to trigger Rootha’s ability, then either protecting your tokens or flooding the board with elemental creatures to maximize damage. Cards like Goldspan Dragon help generate treasure tokens, ensuring you have enough mana to cast expensive spells and summon formidable elemental tokens.

The game plan involves repeatedly casting spells during your first main phase to grow your elemental army quickly while using treasures to manage mana costs, thus maintaining a relentless attack.

    Suggested Upgrades

Since the full list isn’t finalized, we won’t recommend removing any cards but will suggest some thematically fitting and synergistic additions.

    • Vivi Ornitier: This strong card from the Final Fantasy set fits well with the deck’s spell-casting theme. It adds red and blue mana equal to its power and gains a +1/+1 counter when you cast a noncreature spell, helping it grow while fueling your spells.

    • Twinflame Travelers: An elemental from Lorwyn, this creature triggers the abilities of other elementals an extra time. Pairing it with powerful elemental creatures can double their effectiveness.

    • Galvanic Iteration: A two-mana instant that copies your next spell and allows you to choose new targets. Its flashback ability lets you cast it again from the graveyard for three mana before exiling it.

    • Sorcerer Class: An enchantment that helps with card draw and mana generation. When it levels up, it allows you to tap creatures for red or blue mana or deal damage based on the number of spells cast that turn, increasing your damage output during combat.

Note: This deck emphasizes casting spells early, activating Rootha, and then maintaining pressure by either protecting elemental tokens or flooding the field with additional creatures. With cards like Goldspan Dragon to generate treasures, you’ll have the resources to keep your spells and constructs flowing, making for a dynamic and high-impact gameplay style.

  • Top MTG TMNT Commander Deck Upgrades for Completing and Solving

Top MTG TMNT Commander Deck Upgrades for Completing and Solving

While the pre-constructed Commander decks for Magic: The Gathering are a good starting point, they’re not perfect. There are many ways to improve each deck, no matter your budget.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) Commander deck includes six different Commanders, each representing one of the five mana colors. This makes the deck feel somewhat disorganized and unfocused at times. However, you can make adjustments to give it a sharper, more aggressive style.

    The WUBRG Problem

Since this deck is built around all five mana colors, you must choose a Commander that has all five colors on the card. According to Commander rules, your deck can only include the colors found on your Commander, but that doesn’t mean the casting cost has to match exactly.

To satisfy the WUBRG requirement, you can pick the “Heroes in a Half Shell” card or choose Leonardo, the Balance, and pair it with another Commander that features the Character Select ability (a variation of partner). Leonardo has all five mana colors listed on his card, making the deck legal with this choice. Using him as your Commander, pairing him with Raphael the Muscle, and focusing on +1/+1 counters will create a powerful strategy. The mana base of this deck is already strong, so no changes are needed there.

    Creature Changes

    Out: Biogenic Ooze
This costly creature produces two Ooze tokens and adds counters to them each turn. It can also create more tokens using its mana ability, but at five mana to activate, it’s too expensive to be practical. Better options exist for this deck.

    Out: Shredder, Shadow Master
Although Shredder is a dangerous card, it’s high-cost and likely to be interrupted by opponents. If focusing on counters and brute strength, it’s better to leave this card out.

    Out: Krang, the All-Powerful
This high-cost creature doesn’t add enough value to justify its price in this particular build. Its +1/+1 counters are self-contained, and compared to other creatures like Leatherhead, Iron Gator, it’s less effective.

    In: Ouroboroid
This creature ramps up your counters early in combat, adding X +1/+1 counters to all your creatures based on Ouroboroid’s current power. It costs around $42.

    In: Raphael, the Nightwatcher
This card acts as a stepping stone towards activating Raphael, the Muscle. It’s a cheap, three-mana spell that grants double strike to all attacking creatures. Its impact is immediate and significant.

    In: Evolution Witness
This creature allows you to bring cards back from your graveyard whenever it gets +1/+1 counters. It can also put counters on itself for just two mana, making it versatile and useful. It can be found for less than 30 cents.

    Spell Changes

    Out: Continue
While returning creatures from your graveyard is useful, it’s limited to creatures put in the graveyard that same turn. Replacing it with moves like Together Forever, which can bring back creatures more effectively, makes your deck more powerful.

    Out: Vanquish The Horde
This spell is more defensive and suited to control decks. Since the current focus is on aggression, it’s better replaced with something more fitting.

    In: Teferi’s Protection
This spell offers a critical shield, protecting your entire board by phasing everything out for a turn. It’s effective for safeguarding your setup if you need to pause or prevent disruption. The cost varies from $40 to $90 depending on the version.

    In: Vampiric Tutor
A staple in Commander decks, this instant allows you to search your library for a card and put it on top. Playing it before your turn minimizes interference. It costs roughly $50, though some versions can reach nearly $500.

    Enchantment & Artifact Changes

    Out: Mole Module
Vehicles like Mole Module can generate tokens but don’t align well with an aggressive strategy. Replacing it with an enchantment that boosts your attacking potential is preferred, especially to avoid milling or crewing complications.

    Out: Uncivil Unrest
This enchantment grants haste or +1/+1 counters to creatures entering play and doubles damage dealt by creatures with counters. It’s costly at five mana but can create a threatening board presence and cause immediate danger for opponents.

    In: Embercleave
A powerful equipment card, especially with multiple attacking creatures. It grants +1/+1, double strike, and trample. It can be cast at instant speed with flash and is affordable, usually costing less than $20.

Making these adjustments will help focus the deck on a stronger, more aggressive game plan while maintaining its core theme.

Focusing on the most beneficial upgrades helps you tackle tough boss fights with ease.

Which Weapon Upgrades Should You Prioritize?

First, decide which weapon suits your playstyle best and focus on upgrading that one first. High On Life 2 offers options for various strategies; don’t force a weapon to fit if it doesn’t suit your way of fighting.

To make your journey easier, consider these essential upgrades first:

    • Bowie’s Bone Lock – Enhances headshot damage significantly. Mastering precision aiming makes this one of the most powerful shots.
    • Gus’s Slug Chunker & Cartridge Canal – Gus is great for finishing big bosses, especially those with larger hit points like Tiffany and Muppy Doo.
    • Travis & Jan’s Pouch Rounds & Agony Dial – These two are the top weapons overall. Upgrading both from Jorb’s shop is a smart move for maximizing damage and efficiency in both boss fights and regular combat.

While other upgrades are helpful, focusing on these will reduce boss fight times and allow you to clear mobs more effectively.

  • Weapon Skill Tree Upgrades in Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive for Completing and Solving

Weapon Skill Tree Upgrades in Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive for Completing and Solving

Focusing on choosing the right class for your playstyle in Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive is essential. As you level up Sung Jinwoo with skill trees, don’t forget that there are also skill trees for your four weapon types, plus options for Sung Jinwoo’s overall physique and stats.

This might seem overwhelming at first, but making smart upgrades in your weapon skill trees can drastically improve your combat results. Prioritize upgrading the weapons you use most, and maximize your strength by investing in the relevant skill trees.

    Weapon Skill Trees Overview

Each weapon type comes with its own skill tree. Early in the game, you’ll get familiar with your class skill tree, but as you pick specific weapons to specialize in, you should focus on investing in those weapon trees. Doing so unlocks more abilities and provides important stat boosts.

Almost all weapon trees have around 12 or 13 unlockable skills, offering various enhancements to your fighting capabilities. While the perks are similar across different weapons, only unlock skills in the trees for the weapons you use frequently. This way, the effects and bonuses apply to your weapons during combat, so keep your gear updated with the best options.

    Additional Skill Trees

Besides the four weapon types, there are two other skill trees to consider. The first is the Physique Skill Tree, which boosts your combat stats and overall strength. The second is the Monarch’s Awakening Skill Tree, which unlocks after chapter five if you choose a specific story path.

All Weapon and Physique Skill Trees

Each weapon has two branches with multiple skills. For example, the Sword Skill Tree includes the Heartsteel and Resistance branches, each containing skills that increase damage, defenses, and other combat stats. Some skills can be purchased multiple times, marked with an asterisk (*), allowing further stacking of bonuses.

The Dagger Skill Tree has branches focused on bleeding effects and back attacks, enhancing damage-over-time abilities. The Bow Skill Tree offers options that increase damage at long range, critical hit rates, and attack power based on agility. Firearms focus on increasing damage, penetration, and attack speed, with bonuses stacking through various skill activations.

The Physique Skill Tree allows upgrades for attack, defense, HP, and critical hit chance. Each perk can often be obtained multiple times, leading to significant physical stat increases.

Summary of Key Skill Tree Details

    • Sword Skill Tree: Split into Heartsteel and Resistance branches; boosts damage, defense, and shield effects.

    • Dagger Skill Tree: Focuses on bleed damage and backstab bonuses, with branches like Lethal Wound and Overshadow.

    • Bow Skill Tree: Includes Focused Aim and Secure Aim, emphasizing damage at various ranges and critical hits.

    • Firearm Skill Tree: Features the Kata and Patience branches, enhancing damage, penetration, and attack stacking.

    • Physique Skill Tree: Offers multiple tiers of attack, defense, and HP increases; perks can be stacked up to three times for maximum effect.

  • All Weapons, Weapon Aspects, and Upgrades for Completing Hades 2

All Weapons, Weapon Aspects, and Upgrades for Completing Hades 2

In Hades 2, you’ll be battling through the underworld to save your family from Chronos, the Titan of Time. Melinoe has a stash of powerful, legendary weapons, each with its own strengths, weaknesses, and playstyle. You’ll need to unlock each weapon individually to access them.

Building on the previous game, there are also special ‘aspects’ to unlock, which can modify your weapons and sometimes be upgraded themselves. These options give you more ways to customize your gameplay and improve your chances during your journey. A dedicated player will aim to unlock and upgrade all of these aspects.

Updated September 24, 2025: We’ve refreshed this guide with new information based on the Hades 2 version 1.0 release.

    How to Unlock Every Weapon

There are five weapons in Hades 2. You start with the Witch’s Staff by default, and you can unlock the others by collecting specific recipes:

    Weapon Recipe Description
Witch’s Staff Unlocked automatically A medium-range thrusting weapon, easy to use.
Sister Blades 1 Silver Fast close-range attacks; ranged but slow special.
Umbral Flames 2 Silver, 2 Cinder Slow fire staff that keeps enemies at bay; tricky to master.
Moonstone Axe 10 Silver Heavy, slow melee weapon; very powerful; includes a long-range special.
Argent Skull 2 Glassrock, 1 Bronze Throwable skulls with limited ammo, powerful burst damage, needs strategic use.
Black Coat 2 Cinder, 2 Adamant Enemy-seeking specials and mighty attacks.

Note: The first four weapons are available from the start once unlocked. The Argent Skull becomes available after you’ve progressed significantly, typically found in the third region of the underworld and the first region on the surface path.

    How to Unlock Weapon Aspects

Initially, weapons are basic, with only one style. The key to customizing them is unlocking the ‘incantation’ that grants access to Weapon Aspects. These are variants that change parts of your weapon, making them better suited to your preferred style.

To unlock the incantation, you’ll need to defeat Hecate in Erebus and receive the recipe. It’s likely that you must have unlocked all weapons to get this recipe.

Once you have the recipe for the ‘Aspects of Night and Darkness,’ cast it at the cauldron using five Bronze and one Nightshade. After that, you can switch between aspects at the weapon circle in the Training Grounds. All weapons start with Melinoe’s Aspect, their default form, but you can upgrade them to unlock more features and powers.

Below is a list of all aspects, what they do, and the resources needed to unlock each:

Aspect Unlock Requirements Effects / Description
    Witch’s Staff
Melinoe (Default) Starting aspect Base form, increases Magick and Special damage when upgraded.

Black Coat Cinder x1, Adamant x15 Increase speed, attack, or other attributes via aspects.

Note: The Argent Skull and Black Coat are unlocked after significant progression, found in specific regions.

    How to Unlock Weapon Aspects

To access different weapon aspects, you’ll need to unlock the incantation that allows their use. This recipe is obtained from Hecate after defeating her in Erebus. You probably must have all weapons unlocked first to unlock this aspect upgrade.

The recipe can be cast at the cauldron with five Bronze and one Nightshade. When activated, you can switch aspects at the weapon circle in the Training Grounds. Every weapon begins with Melinoe’s default aspect, and additional aspects can be unlocked through resource use.

    All Weapon Aspect Upgrades

Each weapon aspect can be leveled up up to four times, reaching Rank 5. These upgrades either give your weapon new powers—like backstabs—or enhance Melinoe’s capabilities with that weapon.

The table below outlines the upgrade options for each aspect, what they do, and the resources needed:

Weapon Aspect Rank Upgrade Description Cost
Witch’s Staff (Aspect of Melinoe) 2 +10 Magick & Special Power Silver x2, Psyche x10

2026 Apple Watch Could Get Long Awaited Upgrades

In just over a month, Apple is expected to unveil a new lineup of iPhones. Rumors suggest a major redesign focused on the camera system for the high-end “Pro” models, along with a sleek new ultra-thin sibling branded as “Air.” While this year’s Apple Watch may not steal the show at the fall event, its successor could be a game-changer I’ve been eagerly awaiting for years.

According to supply chain reports, the Apple Watch Series 12, anticipated in 2026, is poised to undergo a significant upgrade, both in appearance and functionality. The premium model is expected to feature advanced sensors and a redesigned exterior, with a focus on improved sensing technology.

One of the most notable improvements could be the doubling of sensors on the watch, increasing from four to eight. These sensors will be arranged in a ring shape underneath a transparent glass cover, opening doors to new health-tracking capabilities while also enhancing battery efficiency.

The next iteration of the Apple Watch is rumored to include blood pressure monitoring, relying on a light-based technique similar to what’s seen on some Samsung models. While it may not provide exact systolic and diastolic readings, it could offer alerts about unusual spikes or drops. Additionally, there’s ongoing development of non-invasive blood glucose measurement technology. Previous efforts, such as GlucoCheck developed at Georgia’s Kennesaw State University and Movano’s needle-free wearable, suggest that Apple may soon incorporate these features—a move that would signify a substantial advancement for health tracking on wearables.

Battery life is also expected to see improvements through a shift to a next-generation sensor hub, which could significantly boost power efficiency. Over recent years, some Wear OS smartwatches, like the OnePlus Watch 2, have achieved more than two days of use per charge thanks to their design and software optimizations. Currently, Apple Watches typically last less than a full day, so a notable enhancement in longevity would be welcome.

Design-wise, the 2026 model is said to feature a major overhaul, marking the first significant redesign since its introduction. While specifics are scarce, a fresh look could include a more streamlined form factor and possibly the addition of cameras, although it’s unclear whether the 2026 device will be the first to feature this upgrade. Historically, Apple has maintained a consistent design language for its watches, with minor changes such as a slimmer profile and curved display, but a complete redesign could redefine the product line.

Overall, these anticipated advancements in health sensing, battery life, and design suggest that the 2026 Apple Watch could set new standards in wearable technology, combining innovative health features with a fresh aesthetic.

  • Which Upgrades To Buy for Completing South of Midnight

Which Upgrades To Buy for Completing South of Midnight

In South of Midnight, Hazel faces various spirits and she’ll have an array of abilities to use. Throughout the game, players can enhance these abilities by collecting Floofs; the key challenge is deciding which ones to upgrade first. We’re here to guide you through that process.

By exploring the game world, you should be able to obtain most, if not all, of the available upgrades, so you won’t miss out on any of Hazel’s potential. However, it’s essential to focus on upgrading the most useful abilities first. Gather those Floofs and prepare to invest in your skills!

Top Upgrades in South of Midnight

As abilities are level-gated and Floofs are relatively plentiful, there’s no need to stress about saving resources. Still, following a wise upgrade path is beneficial. Generally, we recommend focusing on the General Tree first. Below is a suggested order for upgrading abilities at the same level.

Following the General Tree, the next tree to prioritize depends on your personal playstyle. Combat in the game is straightforward, so your preferences will play a significant role. However, we recommend upgrading the Weave tree first, as it tends to be more versatile and effective against all enemies, including bosses. Next, consider investing in the Crouton tree, except at the third stage where Strand Push becomes the more advantageous choice. For much of the game, Strand Push lands in the third slot. We found that Strand Pull was less effective, but at the second stage, it outshines Strand Push since it activates Weave automatically.

Overview of General Upgrades and Recommendations

The General upgrades enhance Hazel’s basic attacks and occasionally introduce new moves. You’ll face choices between two upgrades on the same branch during specific points in the game, but you can ultimately purchase both. We will recommend which one to prioritize, alongside detailed descriptions of each upgrade.

    Name Description
Rending Step Dodge (B) and quickly tap X to attack in the chosen direction.
Aerial Rend While airborne, press X to slam down, damaging nearby enemies.
Amplified Rend Charge the Amplified Attack further to deal more damage over a wider area.
Weaver’s Blitz Unravel triggers a Strand Blast.
Cleaning Rend Hold Y to unleash Strands, damaging enemies in a broad area.
Bob and Weave Dodge (B) twice quickly for a quick evade.
Close the Loop Strand Blasts deal increased damage across a wider area and Weave affects enemies for a short duration.
Stigma Conversion Improves Unravel’s cooldown acceleration.
Purifying Rend Wider damage area for Cleansing Rend, impacting Weave-affected foes briefly.

We suggest choosing Weaver’s Blitz over Amplified Rend, especially since you’ll often be overwhelmed, and a Strand Blast in those situations can be a significant advantage. Both upgrades are strong, though. Next, we recommend going for the Close the Loop upgrade ahead of Stigma Conversion, prioritizing damage over cooldown, since several late-game abilities offer instant cooldown benefits. Again, both options are solid choices!

Detailed Overview of Ability Upgrades in South of Midnight

In addition to the General tree, there are four individual trees corresponding to the abilities Hazel can unlock: Weave, Strand Push, Strand Pull, and Crouton. Here’s a breakdown of what each offers.

    Ability Tree Stage Name Description
Weave 1 Stigma Bane Enemies affected by Weave take increased damage from all sources.
Weave 2 Weave of Life Damaging Weaved enemies with certain moves heals Hazel slightly.
Weave 3 Enduring Weave Weave remains active longer during combat.
Strand Push 1 Scourged Push Strand Push now inflicts damage.
Strand Push 2 Immobilizing Push Cast Strand Push right before an enemy attack lands to apply Weave to them.
Strand Push 3 Refreshing Push Strand Push resets its cooldown when directed at multiple enemies simultaneously.
Strand Pull 1 From Thread to Hook Tethered Strand (X after Strand Pull) deals increased damage to foes.
Strand Pull 2 Fettered Rend Tethered Strand (X after Strand Pull) applies Weave for a brief time.
Strand Pull 3 Vanquishing Rend If Tethered Strand (X after Strand Pull) defeats an enemy, it resets its cooldown.
Crouton 1 Crouton Detonation When Crouton’s control ends, it triggers a Strand Blast.
Crouton 2 Crouton Surge While Crouton controls an enemy, it inflicts increased damage.
Crouton 3 Crouton Tangle While Crouton is in control, it casts Weave on its first target.

Explore the strengths of each tree and tailor your upgrades to enhance Hazel’s effectiveness in her supernatural quest.
