Completing the May 2025 Max Battle Challenge in Pokémon Go

Max Battles are a new feature recently added to Pokemon Go that allows players to engage in battles with various Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokemon. Each month, the selection of Pokemon available through these Max Battles changes, offering players a chance to catch both new and returning Pokemon.

In May 2025, a fresh lineup of Pokemon will be accessible via Max Battles. Below, you will find a detailed guide for May 2025’s Max Battles, outlining what Pokemon will be featured and the special events taking place this month.

    Understanding Max Battles

Max Battles occur at various Power Spots around the Pokemon Go map, changing locations throughout the week. To enter a Max Battle, players need to use Max Particles, which can be collected through the Max Battle feature.

To start a Max Battle, you must choose three Pokemon capable of Dynamaxing or Gigantamaxing. During the battle, your goal is to defeat a specific Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon, allowing your own Pokemon to transform on the battlefield.

Upon finishing a Max Battle, players earn in-game rewards, including berries, Rare Candy, and Revives. Additionally, you can encounter the Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon, with the chance to capture it and gain the ability to Dynamax if caught.
