Sony has unexpectedly announced the release of a new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 DLC for the PlayStation 5, expected to arrive sooner than anticipated. To commemorate the theatrical debut of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31, 2026, PS5 players will receive a themed cosmetic addition.
The “Fresh Start Suit” DLC for Spider-Man 2 will be available on July 28 for PS5 users. The announcement doesn’t specify if this content will also come to the PC version, but there’s reason to believe it might.
Sony still needs to confirm whether the “Fresh Start Suit” DLC will be offered at no extra cost.
Marvel’s Spider-Man remains one of Sony’s most coveted properties with exclusive rights. Currently, the latest game by Insomniac Games is part of the PS Plus Extra catalog, although the duration of its inclusion remains uncertain.
As of now, Spider-Man 2 isn’t on sale through the PlayStation Store. When discounts are offered, the game typically sees reductions of only about 50 to 58%.
Unlike its predecessor, Spider-Man 2 has not received any story-based DLC. Nevertheless, players can access cosmetic options through the Digital Deluxe Edition or by downloading the free Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack available on the PS Store.
Updates will be provided once more details about the new suit become available.
