Sinofuse Soars on $30M US EV Battery Parts Supply Deal

Shares of Xi’an Sinofuse Electric rose up to 4.4% today following the company’s announcement that it has been chosen as the exclusive supplier of multi-position transfer switches for battery packs by a U.S. electric vehicle manufacturer. This agreement is projected to result in sales of up to 200 million Chinese yuan (approximately $30 million).

The company’s stock closed at CNY 89.81 (around $13.31), up 2.9%, after earlier reaching CNY 91.10 during trading. According to the announcement, Sinofuse will supply these transfer switches for battery packs used in the client’s 900V DC platform vehicles, starting in the fourth quarter of 2028. This partnership was formalized through an exclusive supplier agreement with the American automaker.

The transfer switches facilitate flexible connection configurations between battery modules, allowing for more efficient and easier charging. They also have a safety feature: if a fault occurs in a battery module, the switch can automatically disconnect it to protect the vehicle.

Designed for both passenger vehicles and light commercial trucks, these switches offer a simpler and more reliable alternative to traditional voltage-boosting and conversion solutions, without requiring extra power conversion components. The company stated that the design simplifies control logic and enhances overall dependability.

Details about the supply timeframe were not disclosed, with the company only noting that actual sales will depend on market demand for the specific vehicle models. The automaker’s identity remains confidential due to an agreement.

Sinofuse’s main products include pyrotechnic and smart fuses that protect electronic devices from damage caused by short circuits. The company’s clientele features major international automakers like Tesla, Daimler, and Hyundai, as highlighted in their 2025 annual report.
