A highly anticipated remaster of a beloved adventure game is set to launch on PlayStation 5. A new trailer showcasing upgraded visuals confirms the release date, building excitement among fans.
This remastered version, arriving ahead of its sequel, The Wolf Among Us, will be available on PS5 starting October 29, 2026. Originally released by Telltale Games in 2013 as an episodic series, the game quickly gained recognition, earning praise from critics and players alike.
Currently, it holds a strong Metascore of 83 out of 100 and a user rating of 8.6 out of 10 on Metacritic. Based on Bill Willingham’s DC comic series Fables, the game immerses players in a dark, gritty world where fairy tale characters live in the real world.
The official description for the remaster states, “Meet the detective and the intriguing suspects of The Wolf Among Us Remastered in this trailer for the upcoming dark detective thriller where folklore is real, violence is chilling, and every choice matters.”
The trailer provides a fresh look at the classic game, highlighting new features like a Noir Mode that allows players to explore the story in black-and-white. As Bigby Wolf, players will investigate a brutal murder, unravel a hidden conspiracy, interrogate suspects, and examine crime scenes to find the murderer. The episodic story also emphasizes critical decision points that influence the outcome, leading to unforeseen consequences.
All five episodes of Telltale’s acclaimed narrative will be included, now with improved lighting, updated animations, enhanced environments, and a modernized aesthetic designed for today’s gaming audience. Bonus content such as concept art, interviews, restored scenes, and archive materials will also be part of the package.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches on October 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5, and will also be available on Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
