Netflix subscribers will get an exclusive sneak peek of Grand Theft Auto VI later this month. The streaming service has teamed up with Rockstar Games to offer fans a special preview of the highly anticipated video game set to launch in 2026.
As part of this collaboration, Rockstar Games announced that on August 27, 2026, at 3 p.m. ET, Netflix viewers can tune in to see an extended trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI.
“Grand Theft Auto reveals have become cultural highlights over the years. The excitement around Grand Theft Auto VI is unparalleled, and we’re thrilled that Rockstar Games has chosen to debut a new chapter of the story exclusively on Netflix first,” said Brandon Riegg, Vice President of Nonfiction Series.
What should viewers expect from this exclusive extended look? Netflix will feature a trailer showcasing special footage from the open-world game. While specific details are being kept under wraps, fans will get a sneak peek at gameplay scenes that highlight what it’s like to step into the shoes of the game’s main characters, Jason and Lucia.

Grand Theft Auto VI’s official synopsis describes the story: “Jason and Lucia have always known the odds are against them. But after a simple job goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of America’s brightest city, caught in a criminal conspiracy that spans across the state of Leonida. To survive, they must rely on each other more than ever.”
The game is set to be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. So far, two main trailers have been dropped, and fans are eagerly awaiting a third trailer before the global launch.
