Google Addresses Bugs in Local Service Ads Platform

Digital Phablet reports that Google is actively working to fix a bug affecting Local Service Ads (LSAs). The issue causes LSAs to become unlinked from their corresponding Google Business Profiles, and users have been experiencing platform instability and slow response times.

Ginny Marvin, the Google Ads Liaison, acknowledged the problem in a recent update. She mentioned that the company has identified a bug and is dedicated to resolving it. She also clarified that the bug is not related to the recent migration of LSAs to Google Ads.

The specific bug appears to involve LSAs losing their connections to Business Profiles. As shared by Jack Hepp, a user experienced his longest-standing LSA becoming unlinked from its Google Business Profile over the weekend. He had to reach out to support to have it relinked. Jack also noted that he was unable to access or view LSAs across multiple Google Ads accounts, which left him without insight into his campaigns.

He commented that Google had assured him that during the migration process, any LSAs not currently linked to a Business Profile would be automatically connected. Nonetheless, he reported ongoing issues with the platform’s stability. He described persistent error messages when trying to access his LSAs and noted that, as of that morning, he couldn’t access the accounts at all, especially with the deadline for data download approaching.

Widespread complaints about accessing LSAs continue across various forums and user channels. Confirmation that these problems are related to the linking process is still pending, but the pattern suggests a correlation.

One notable online discussion includes a detailed post on a professional network, where users share their experiences and frustrations with the platform’s current state, indicating that technical issues are still prevalent during this period.
