PS Store users should be aware that the 2025 versions of Disney classics for PS5 and PS4 may soon be taken down from the digital store. As mentioned yesterday, Disney Pixar’s Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 are scheduled for re-release this October, and their emulated versions are expected to be removed from the PS Store ahead of these launches, following the usual pattern.
Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3 are currently included in the PS Plus Premium Classics catalog and are also available for individual purchase on the PS Store. Sony has confirmed that both will be removed from PS Plus, which is a rare occurrence for the Premium Classics lineup but seems justified in this case.
Toy Story 2 will be re-released as part of the Toy Story: Retro Roundup! collection. Disney describes the package as a comprehensive compilation of games based on the film franchise, including titles like Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! (1999), Toy Story 2 (1990s), Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (2000), and Toy Story Racer (2001), along with a bonus game, A Bug’s Life (1998).
Additionally, Toy Story 3 Complete Edition will be released separately. Both titles will become available on October 15.
