Atari’s Parkasaurus Arrives Soon on PlayStation 5

Washbear Studio’s Parkasaurus is getting a special edition for modern consoles. The new release, called Parkasaurus: Dinoluxe Edition, will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game is scheduled for release on August 5, 2026, more than six years after the original PC version debuted in 2020.

This edition combines the base game with two downloadable content packs—Sea Monsters and Prehistoric Wonders—creating an all-in-one package for players. True to its name, Parkasaurus challenges players to design their own dinosaur amusement parks. From hiring staff to building impressive exhibits, the game emphasizes keeping the dinosaurs happy and preventing escapes that could lead to chaos.

With both DLCs included, the game offers a total of 44 dinosaur species, each requiring specific conditions to thrive in the park. Players will need to carefully balance factors like ecology, plant life, elevation, and humidity to craft the ultimate dinosaur attraction. Additional features include:

  • The base Parkasaurus game plus Sea Monsters and Prehistoric Wonders downloadable content.

  • A total of 44 dinosaur breeds (24 from the original game, 10 from Sea Monsters, and 10 from Prehistoric Wonders).

  • Twelve different biomes to develop (nine from the base game and three inspired by Sea Monsters).

  • Research options to unlock new dinosaur eggs, technologies, items, and upgrades.

  • The ability to monetize your park by charging admission, adding donation boxes, setting up food stalls, and charging premium prices for popular dinosaur exhibits.

  • Managing four different types of employees to keep the park operating smoothly.

  • Completing 15 missions across various areas (12 from the base game and three from Sea Monsters).
