A highly anticipated Aliens game is now available for PS5 on the PlayStation Store. Developed by Daybreak Game Company and Cold Iron Studios, in partnership with 20th Century Games, this new title is making waves among fans.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 has finally launched for PlayStation 5 users and can be purchased directly through the PlayStation Store. This third-person shooter is a sequel to the 2021 debut, rooted in the long-standing and beloved Aliens movie franchise.
The latest installment offers an intense, survival-focused campaign filled with action. Players step into the shoes of Colonial Marines, team up in squads of up to four members, and battle against endless waves of deadly Xenomorphs.
What editions of Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 are available?
The game comes in two editions: the Digital Standard Edition and the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition. The Standard Edition is priced at $49.99, while the Premium Edition costs $69.99, both available on the PlayStation Store.
While the standard version includes just the base game, the Premium Edition adds bonus content such as downloadable content (DLC) and exclusive cosmetics. The 40th Anniversary Premium Edition grants players access to the Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack and Herk’s Mondo Pest Pack.
The Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack features an exclusive costume inspired by Ellen Ripley’s look at the conclusion of Ridley Scott’s 1986 film, Aliens. Players can equip this outfit on any created character and also gain access to Ripley’s modified pulse rifle.
Herk’s Mondo Pest Pack is a nod to the over-the-top comic book hero, offering a flamboyant outfit, along with a special weapon — Herk Mondo’s massive, customized pulse rifle — plus decals and additional customization options.
Additionally, PS5 gamers can enhance their experience with Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack, which brings the vibe of the acclaimed film Alien: Romulus into the game. Available for both editions at $9.99, this pack provides a modified Cryo weapon, a signature Colony outfit, and a full set of traits, perks, decals, and color schemes.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is now out for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It is also set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 later this fall.
