The dates for the Modern Warfare 4 beta have been announced, giving players a clear idea of when they can try out the latest shooter. As usual, there will be an early access phase for those who pre-order the game, followed by an open beta where everyone can play and get a feel for the game before its official release in October.
Based on a recent blog post, we have some early details about the beta, including the start and end dates, although specific times haven’t been finalized yet. If you’re interested in participating, here’s what’s known so far about how to access the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 beta.
When is the Modern Warfare 4 beta happening?
The beta is split into two parts:
– Early Access: August 21 (Friday) through August 25 (Tuesday).
– Open Beta: August 28 (Friday) through September 1 (Tuesday).
The early access begins right after the Call of Duty: NEXT broadcast on August 21. To join the beta on PS5, Xbox Series X, or PC, you need to pre-order Modern Warfare 4 in either the Standard or Vault Edition. Pre-ordering the Vault Edition grants extra perks during the beta. For Nintendo Switch 2, pre-orders won’t start until August 28. Once available, Switch 2 players will be able to join the open beta without pre-ordering.
What’s inside the Modern Warfare 4 beta?
While full details haven’t been revealed yet, we know there will be a variety of multiplayer maps and game modes. These will range from small 3v3 matches to large-scale, tactical battles. Expect modes like Search & Destroy, the Training Mobility Course, and a brand-new experience called Kill Block.
Pre-ordering the Vault Edition unlocks additional content for the beta, including:
– Hostile Alliance Operator Pack
– Special Forces Operator Pack featuring operators from France, Germany, South Korea, and the UK
– Signature weapons collection with unique guns and blueprints like the Kastov 762 Assault Rifle, ISO Nightshade Submachine Gun, Rezi 12 Shotgun, Oris 8.6 Marksman Rifle, and a Combat Knife, each with special blueprints
More details about exclusive beta rewards and content will be announced soon, so stay tuned for updates.
When will the Modern Warfare 4 beta end?
The beta is set to conclude on September 1, which marks the end of the open testing period. However, in past years like Black Ops 7, beta periods have been extended if needed, so the end date isn’t final.
Keep an eye out for further updates, especially regarding any potential extensions or additional content coming to the beta.
