A leak from the Xbox Store has revealed that the PlayStation Store will soon release a free upgrade for an acclaimed 2017 Ubisoft action game. The upgraded version of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, which is set to launch today, will include new story content titled The Last Rites.
According to the leaked PlayStation Store listing, the PS5 version of Ghost Recon Wildlands will feature support for 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, three-dimensional audio, faster load times thanks to the console’s SSD, and haptic feedback and trigger effects. The update will also bring quality-of-life improvements, new cosmetic options, and the addition of The Last Rites story DLC.
Initially, this update was expected to be quietly released as a surprise following Ghost Recon’s 25th Anniversary Showcase. However, the listing has since been removed from the store, although a screenshot of the leak can still be seen below:

The game is currently available in the PlayStation Plus Extra library and is part of ongoing sales on the PS Store. New buyers can purchase the game now for $4.99 and will be able to claim the free PS5 upgrade later today.
