A mysterious removal of a 2024 co-op adventure game for PS5 has taken place, with the title disappearing from the PlayStation Store less than two years after its debut. Developed by ArtDock, SOS Ops! first launched on PC in 2023, then made its way to PS5 in December 2024. Despite its removal from the PlayStation Store, the game remains available on Steam and Xbox, raising questions about why it was taken down.
There’s no indication that SOS Ops! has been permanently shut down. PS5 users have observed that both the game and its downloadable content (DLC) were completely removed from the PlayStation Store, especially after GOG announced that SOS Ops! would be leaving their platform on July 1. It’s unclear if this delisting from PlayStation’s digital storefront is related to GOG’s announcement or if other factors are at play.
Meanwhile, ArtDock appears to stay active on Steam, having recently announced that SOS Ops! has sold over 800,000 copies. The developer’s ongoing activity suggests this removal might be temporary or part of a larger platform transition, rather than indicative of the game being discontinued altogether.
