The passing of Turkish actress Ece İrtem has left her fans and the artistic community in shock and deep sorrow across the country. The circumstances surrounding her sudden death initially sparked speculation, with some suggesting that a monkey bite during her recent trip to Thailand was the cause. However, recent investigations have clarified the true cause behind her untimely demise.

Attorney Ugur Okkuyun confirmed that while Ece İrtem, aged 35, had indeed been bitten by a monkey in Thailand and received medical treatment for her injuries, her death resulted from other causes.

Disproving the Monkey Bite Theory: The True Cause of Ece İrtem’s Death

Ece İrtem tragically died of a sudden heart attack at her residence in Kadıköy on the Asian side of Istanbul on June 15, just hours after appearing publicly with her mother in apparently good health, just one day after her birthday.

Her mother was the one to find her daughter’s body when she attempted to wake her that Sunday afternoon. She was laid to rest in her hometown in Aydın Province, Turkey’s western region.

Autopsy reports have revealed that Ece İrtem succumbed to alcohol poisoning, and the monkey bite she sustained during her visit to Thailand was unrelated to her passing.

Further, her legal representative explained that her death was caused by the excessive consumption of alcohol at her home in Istanbul on June 15th.

Ece İrtem was best known for her role as Işıl in the popular series “Kızılcık Şerbeti” (Cranberry Sorbet). Throughout her career, she appeared in numerous other television productions, earning wide recognition for her talent.
