How to Find and Evolve Abra by Solving in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Finding and catching Abra in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is one of the tougher tasks in almost every Pokémon game, and this game is no different. Abra is easily frightened, so you only get one chance to catch it before it vanishes.

Fortunately, Abra is common in Lumiose, so if you don’t succeed at catching it the first couple of times, you can just move on to the next one. It also appears early in the Wild Zones, so you won’t have to wait long to start looking for it.

When you first unlock Wild Zones 1 through 5, you can explore them in any order. Once you’ve seen Pokémon in these zones at least once, you can see their icons on the map, which makes tracking them easier.

In Wild Zone 5, Abra can be found on the rooftops. You’ll need to take a ladder inside the zone to reach these areas. Catching Abra is tricky because if it’s startled, it immediately disappears. To guarantee a catch, you should try to be sneaky. Even if you hit it with a Poké Ball, you have to catch it on the first try; if you miss, it’ll vanish and you’ll miss your chance.

Using a more effective Poké Ball, like an Ultra Ball, can improve your chances of success. Since Abra appears early in the game and is low level, catching one on your first attempt in the Wild Zone is usually straightforward.

To evolve Abra into Kadabra, you just need to level it up to at least level 16. However, evolving Kadabra into Alakazam requires trading it with another player. Since trading wasn’t possible in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the game provided an item to evolve trade-evolution Pokémon on your own, but that feature isn’t in Legends: Z-A anymore.

To get an Alakazam without trading, you’ll need to trade Kadabra with someone using the Link Play feature and have them trade it back to you. Alternatively, once you unlock all Wild Zones, you can find an Alpha Alakazam spawning randomly in Wild Zone 20—day or night—though it’s a rare spawn. You might need to refresh the area several times. Defeat and capture this Alakazam to add it to your Pokédex without trading.

You can also find Mega Alakazam by using Mega Stones. Once you reach Quasartico Inc. after hitting Rank F, you can trade Mega Shards for Mega Evolution Stones. The Alakazite Mega Stone is available right from the start and costs 360 Mega Shards, which are plentiful in the city, making it manageable to gather.

With the Alakazite, just give it to Alakazam and carry it into battles to Mega Evolve.

  • How to Find and Evolve Inkay in Pokémon Legends: Z-A Using Solving

How to Find and Evolve Inkay in Pokémon Legends: Z-A Using Solving

Malamar has attracted a lot of attention after the intense Mega reveal trailer for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, with many players eager to see its Mega evolution in action. However, Malamar, specifically Inkay, cannot be caught until you’ve made significant progress in the game.

In addition to waiting to find your first Inkay, it’s important to note that this Pokémon has a unique evolution method that carries over into Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

    ### Where to Find Inkay

Inkay won’t be available in the game’s initial Wild Zones. To find one, you’ll need to reach Rank E and unlock Wild Zones 11 through 13. Once those zones are accessible, head to Wild Zone 11. This zone is about half water, and you’ll find Inkay swimming around. Inkay appears both during the day and at night, so you should be able to find one no matter when you search.

Since this Wild Zone unlocks after you’ve advanced enough in the story, most Inkay you’ll encounter there will be level 30 or higher. These Pokémon are friendly and won’t run away easily, making it straightforward to fight one, stun it, and catch it.

    ### How to Evolve Inkay into Malamar

As with previous games, you need to level Inkay up to a certain point and perform a specific action to evolve it into Malamar. Specifically, Inkay must be at least level 30. Fortunately, the Inkay you find in Wild Zone 11 meets this requirement, so you won’t need to do anything special like using EXP candies or battling to level it up — just catch it and evolve.

Here are the steps to evolve Inkay into Malamar:

    1. Make sure Inkay is at least level 30.
    2. Bring Inkay into your current team.
    3. Keep your Nintendo Switch in handheld mode.
    4. Turn your Switch upside down.
    5. Select Inkay and choose the evolve option.

If you’re using a controller, you’ll need to turn it off when you put your Switch into handheld mode and then reattach the Joy-Cons on the top before flipping the console. Turning the Switch upside down during this process triggers the evolution, even if you don’t see the usual indicator. The evolution option will still be available in the menu.

    ### Getting Malamarite for Mega Evolution

To Mega Evolve Malamar, you’ll need the Malamarite Mega Stone. You can purchase Mega Stones from Quasartico Inc. and the Stone Emporium. To get Malamarite, head to Quasartico Inc. and exchange 240 Mega Shards. However, Malamarite is not available when you first gain access to Quasartico Inc. or when you find Inkay. It only unlocks after completing Main Mission 37, which marks the end of Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Since Malamarite becomes available only after finishing the main story, you won’t be able to use it in the early stages of the game. Still, once unlocked, you can use the Mega Stone in online Ranked Battles and the Mega Dimension DLC.

  • How to Find and Evolve Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Z-A Completing and Solving

How to Find and Evolve Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Z-A Completing and Solving

Eevee is a beloved Pokémon that has been a fan favorite since the game’s start. While Pikachu is well-known as the game’s mascot, Eevee’s popularity is undeniable. If you want to find Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Z-A and learn how to get its different evolutions—often called “Eeveelutions”—here’s what you need to know.

There are multiple locations where Eevee can be found. Keep in mind, Eevee doesn’t always appear in the same spot, so it might take some time to spot it. Check back regularly if you don’t find it right away since its spawn seems to rotate across different areas.

    Where to Find Eevee

    North Boulevard

One specific spot is on the roof of a building on North Boulevard. Look for the northernmost part of this roof, just south of a green oval on the map. You can reach this roof from the southeast side of the building, where scaffolding is available near the letter “N” in North Boulevard. Follow the building along until you find Eevee.

Eevee here can spawn on the grassy square area—accessed by a small ladder at the top of the roof—or down by tables and chairs. It only appears during the daytime.

    Bleu Sector 7

Another place to find Eevee is on a roof in Bleu Sector 7. This location is in the second row of buildings from the outer circle of the city, directly north of the “Bleu” label on the map. To reach it, scale the scaffolding on the building’s northern side.

    How to Evolve Eevee

Eevee has eight different evolutions, each requiring specific conditions beyond simply leveling up. Here’s how to get each one:

    Eevee Evolution How to Obtain
Vaporeon Buy a Water Stone from the Stone Emporium on Vernal Avenue for 3,000 and use it on Eevee.
Jolteon Buy a Thunder Stone from the same shop for 3,000 and use it on Eevee.
Flareon Purchase a Fire Stone for 3,000 and use it on Eevee.
Espeon Increase friendship/happiness and level up during the day; make sure Eevee doesn’t know Fairy moves (or it will turn into Sylveon instead).
Umbreon Increase friendship/happiness and level up at night; avoid Fairy moves.
Leafeon Buy a Leaf Stone for 3,000 from the shop and use it on Eevee.
Glaceon Purchase an Ice Stone for 3,000 and use it on Eevee.
Sylveon Increase friendship/happiness while Eevee knows a Fairy move; level up. Keep Disarming Voice learned to ensure it evolves into Sylveon.

    Tips for Increasing Friendship

Focusing on increasing Eevee’s friendship can help it evolve faster. Spending time at a cafe with Eevee actively out four times is enough, even without the Soothe Bell. When Eevee is ready to evolve, an arrow will appear next to its icon in your party menu, letting you choose when to trigger the evolution.

This covers where to find Eevee, how to earn its evolutions, and the conditions needed for each. Keep checking different areas, and you’ll have all the Eeveelutions in no time.

  • Where To Find Evolution Stones in Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Completing Evolution Quests

Where To Find Evolution Stones in Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Completing Evolution Quests

While trying to complete your Pokedex in Pokémon Legends: Z-A and catch every available Pokémon, you may encounter some obstacles, like Pokémon that evolve only when they use certain items. Among these items, Evolution Stones are essential for evolving various Pokémon.

Evolution stones are used to evolve multiple Pokémon species—most stones can be used for more than one Pokémon. If you want to speed up your progress and get more Pokémon to evolve faster, here’s what you need to know.

    Where To Get Evolution Stones

    Buy from a Store
The Stone Emporium on Vernal Avenue, located on the south side of Lumiose City, sells Evolution Stones.

Note: The store will only sell four types of Evolution Stones (plus fossils and some Mega Stones) until you finish the main story. Afterward, it will sell all kinds of Evolution Stones.

    Stone Price Eligible Pokémon
Fire Stone 3,000 Eevee → Flareon, Pansear → Simisear
Water Stone 3,000 Staryu → Starmie, Eevee → Vaporeon, Panspour → Simipour
    Thunder Stone 3,000 —
Leaf Stone 3,000 Weepinbell → Victreebel, Eevee → Leafeon, Pansage → Simisage

Other stones like Ice, Shiny, Dusk, Dawn, Sun, and Moon Stones are available after the game ends.

Note: Some Pokémon from other series might also use these stones, but they may not be available in Legends: Z-A yet. This could change with future updates or downloadable content.

    Find Evolution Stones as Items

You don’t need to wait until the story ends to find some stones. Many can be discovered hiding around Lumiose City.

    • Interact with any Red Poke Ball items you find in the city; there’s a chance one contains an Evolution Stone.
    • Once you pick up a Poke Ball item, it won’t appear again there, unlike sparkling items you find.

Tip: Consider asking friends if they have spare Evolution Stones. They can give one to a Pokémon to hold, then trade that Pokémon to you to transfer the stone.

    How To Use Evolution Stones

Once you have the correct Evolution Stone, make sure your Pokémon is in your active party. Then:

    1. Open your Satchel.
    2. Select the stone from the “Other Items” category.
    3. Choose “Use this item.”
    4. Pick the Pokémon you want to evolve, and it will evolve immediately.

If the Pokémon cannot evolve with that stone, a cross will appear below its name. If it can, a checkmark will be shown.

  • How to Complete the Shiny Charm Quest in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

How to Complete the Shiny Charm Quest in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

In any Pokémon game, there’s usually at least one rare item that players really want to get. In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, for example, many players aim to obtain the Shiny Charm as soon as possible. Many believe the chances of finding shiny Pokémon are higher in this game, making it one of the easiest titles to hunt shinies. Having the Shiny Charm can make a big difference by increasing your chances of catching shiny Pokémon, so it’s a worthwhile item to obtain.

How to Unlock the Shiny Charm
You’ll receive the Shiny Charm after reaching Level 50 in Mable’s Research. This involves completing enough quests to earn enough points to level up. Some quests give more points than others, so focus on those to speed up the process.

How Does the Shiny Charm Work?
The Shiny Charm boosts your chances of encountering shiny Pokémon in the wild. It works by generating two extra personality values in the data, which triples your odds of finding a shiny. Because of this boost, it’s best to wait until you have the Shiny Charm before you start your shiny hunting sessions. Once you have it, the Shiny Charm is a key item, meaning it’s always active and you don’t need to do anything special to use it.

    Tips for Shiny Hunting
When searching for shiny Pokémon, turn up the volume so you can hear the shiny sound cue. Keep an eye out for any Pokémon with different colors or sparkling effects, as these are signs of a shiny Pokémon.

  • How to Find and Evolve Pikachu in Pokémon Legends: Solving Z-A

How to Find and Evolve Pikachu in Pokémon Legends: Solving Z-A

Pikachu has been the iconic mascot of the Pokémon franchise since the beginning, making it one of the most loved by fans. In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, if you want to add Pikachu to your team quickly, here’s how to obtain each of its evolutions.

It’s recommended to catch Raichu before the release of the Mega Dimension DLC for Legends: Z-A, which will enable Raichu to Mega Evolve using Raichunite X or Y. Here’s where you can find Pikachu and its evolutions.

    ### Pikachu Evolution Line
    | Pokémon | Type(s) | How to Evolve | Evolution Item / Method |
    | — | — | — | — |
    | Pichu | Electric | Level up with Happiness/Friendship over 220 | – |
    | Pikachu | Electric | Use a Thunder Stone | Thunder Stone |
    | Raichu | Electric | Evolve Pikachu with Thunder Stone | Thunder Stone |
    | Mega Raichu (X or Y) | Electric | Mega Evolve Raichu | Raichunite X or Y* |

*Mega Evolution for Raichu is not available until the Mega Dimension DLC launches.

    ### Where to Find Pichu
You’ll probably see Pichu early in the game, as it spawns in Wild Zone 1. However, it’s pretty shy and will run away if it notices you. Stay hidden in the grass and try to catch it before it spots you. If it escapes, it will respawn shortly.

Pichu appears as a single spawn in the northwest corner of Wild Zone 1. To reach it, you can:
    – Destroy the rocks near the gate after meeting Mable to access the northern part of Wild Zone 1. The water barrier prevents crossing, but there’s a ladder to the north that lets you climb to the roof and drop near Pichu. Be careful not to drop too close or it may run away.
    – Alternatively, leave Wild Zone 1 through the western exit, then circle around to enter via the northwestern entrance, which is right behind Pichu and requires no obstacle removal.

    ### Where to Find Pikachu
Pikachu can be found in Wild Zone 3, mostly in the southeastern section. There are several spawn points here, making it a good area for shiny Pokémon hunting as well.

    ### How to Get Raichu
Once you’ve caught Pikachu, evolving it into Raichu is straightforward—use a Thunder Stone. You can get a Thunder Stone by:
    – Visiting the Stone Emporium on Vernal Avenue in Lumiose City, where it costs 3,000 Poké Dollars.
    – Finding one as an item (scattered around the city in Poké Balls).

To evolve Pikachu, open your menu, go to ‘Satchel,’ select the Thunder Stone from ‘Other Items,’ and choose Pikachu in your party. The evolution will happen immediately.
