Ortiz faces 14 charges, including attempted murder, using a firearm, assault with a semi-automatic weapon, and firing into an occupied building, among other enhancements.

She appeared promptly in a Los Angeles criminal court on Tuesday afternoon, but her arraignment has been postponed until later this month.

According to Los Angeles law enforcement, Ortiz traveled from Florida to Los Angeles prior to the incident. From what I understand, a man drove here from Florida. How long have they resided there? “I don’t have that information,” stated Jim McDonnell, LAPD Chief. “That is currently being researched.” One reason for her trip could be related to this incident. While the motive remains unclear, authorities are examining social media activity as part of their investigation.

Police reports indicate that she journeyed to the singer’s home on Sunday afternoon armed with a semi-automatic weapon and fired multiple shots at the property. Rihanna was at home with her partner A$AP Rocky, their three children, her mother, and two staff members at the time. Fortunately, no injuries occurred.

Initially, Ortiz’s bail was set at over $10 million but was later reduced to $1.875 million. The police have confirmed that the shooting resulted in injuries to 10 individuals, which contributed to the original high bail amount. The reason for the reduction is not yet clear.

Law enforcement officials have identified the suspect as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz. She has a history of erratic social media communications targeting Rihanna, including a recent post where she said, “Listen, when you die, God will take me to my future. Yeah, she wants to kill me.” She also told Rihanna, “Quit making that noise.”

During a press briefing, Deputy District Attorney Nathan Hochman emphasized the severity of such acts, stating, “The message is clear and straightforward: if you come into this county with guns and aim them at homes with people inside, we will arrest, charge, and punish you.” He added that investigators are thoroughly exploring Ortiz’s social media history and all available evidence to understand her motives.

If convicted on all charges, Ortiz could spend the rest of her life in state prison.

Photos of Rihanna’s $14 million Beverly Hills estate reveal heavy security measures, yet someone still managed to breach the defenses and fire at her home, raising concerns about security vulnerabilities and public safety.

More details regarding the incident include that several shots were fired at the residence, but none penetrated inside. Most of the damage was confined to the exterior, with some bullets hitting the house’s exterior and a parked car. Video footage from the scene shows tape covering bullet holes on the front gate.

Sources suggest Ortiz used a firearm resembling an AR-15—a lightweight semi-automatic rifle widely used by civilians and military alike. Bullet holes were found in two neighboring homes on the street.

Dispatch audio reveals that officers tracked Ortiz’s Tesla into a mall parking garage, where she was stopped and detained. Authorities are investigating whether Ortiz was aware that Rihanna was living at the residence. They are examining her social media activity and other evidence to piece together her intentions.

Rihanna shares three children with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky.

What we know about Ivana Lisette Ortiz:
Law enforcement reports that Ortiz has been seen rambling about Rihanna in multiple social media videos over recent months. One such video, posted on January 4, features her saying, “Listen, when you die, God will take me to my future. Yeah, she wants to kill me.” She has expressed violent feelings towards Rihanna and has a documented history of domestic abuse in her criminal record from Florida dating back to 2023.

Discovering the Woman in a Wellspring of Hope: The Solving Chapter of Where Winds Meet

A Wellspring of Hope is a side quest in the Jade Gate Pass area of Hexi in Where Winds Meet. It takes place deep in the desert, where a mysterious woman is working to find water by tending to dried-up wells.

This quest follows her journey and the efforts of the people in Horsehelm Village to secure water. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to start and finish this quest.

How to Start A Wellspring of Hope

The quest marker will appear on the map near Horsehelm Village. Follow the marker and head to the village to begin this Lost Chapter.

    A Wellspring of Hope Walkthrough

At Horsehelm Village, go to the large Rainbone Flower and observe it. Suddenly, a monster appears, attacking you and knocking you into an abandoned village to the west, where you meet a mysterious woman.

Talk to her, then go to sleep. When you wake up, head northeast and find her sitting beside a wagon. Speak to her again, then reverse the damaged well. After the conversation, jump into the well to continue.

Inside the well, follow the path ahead. Use Cosmic Reversal to clear fallen rocks blocking your way. Then, use reversal again to lift floating wood over a gap, making a path forward. Slide down the tunnel to proceed.

In the next chamber, use reversal to hang baskets, then use Cloud Step to climb onto the ledge. Continue along the path until you reach a pit filled with Rainbone Flowers. Defeat them, then reverse the lift and other objects to access the next area. Stand on the lift, wait for reversal to end, and ride it up.

Reverse another blocked entrance and continue along the path, defeating enemies as you go. Use reversal to clear rubble and keep heading forward.

In a large open room, stand on the wooden platform closest to the back wall. Use Cosmic Reversal until the wood is level with the cliff edge—be careful not to go too far, or you’ll fall.

Next, reverse to create a pathway and explore the right side for a chest. Return to the main path and take the left fork to continue. Move past Rainbones into a room where two Skeletal Blooms attack. Defeat them, then reverse the rubble to clear a hole in the ground.

Jump down and then use reversal along with Cloud Step to leave the room. Follow the path back to the lift and proceed as before.

After sliding down a sandy incline, use Cosmic Reversal several times to clear rubble. Climb up a rope and sit on top of a rock. Use reversal again to restore an oil lamp.

With the oil lamp in hand, go back along the path out of the cave and speak to the woman one last time. This completes the quest.

  • Woman Gets £170,000 After Candy Crush Addiction

Woman Gets £170,000 After Candy Crush Addiction

A woman, who has chosen to remain anonymous, received a substantial payout from the National Health Service (NHS) after developing a debilitating addiction to Candy Crush. This addiction stemmed from impaired impulse control caused by the side effects of a prescription medication.

This medication, which is used to treat conditions like restless leg syndrome and Parkinson’s disease, belongs to a category known as dopamine agonists. These drugs artificially raise dopamine levels—a neurotransmitter linked to pleasure and motivation—leading some individuals to seek out additional rewarding experiences, such as mobile gaming, which is adept at providing immediate gratification.

Small incentives found in games, like unlocking a loot box, acquiring new items, or completing levels, trigger dopamine releases in the brain. Following her initial prescriptions, the woman found herself “obsessively” playing Candy Crush and ultimately transitioned to virtual slot machine games.

The NHS has acknowledged that her physician neglected to inform her about the potential side effects and prescribed her a dosage that was twice the recommended amount. As a result, she was awarded £170,000 (approximately $215,000) in compensation from the NHS.

This incident isn’t isolated. Another individual also experienced significant financial loss due to a similar prescription and reported losing over £100,000 in online gambling, with those costs also covered by the NHS.

Details regarding the current health of these two patients have not been disclosed. Experts have suggested treatment approaches that include gradually reducing the medication dosage, switching to different medication, and incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

While Candy Crush itself is not at fault, this situation underscores the risks associated with games designed to encourage prolonged engagement through rapid rewards, particularly for those more vulnerable to developing gaming addictions.

The World Health Organization has classified video game addiction as a mental health disorder since 2013. Although numerous studies have explored this issue, findings are inconsistent and vary among different demographic groups.
