  • Who At The Main Outpost Should You Give The Ozen To in Tides of Tomorrow?

Who At The Main Outpost Should You Give The Ozen To in Tides of Tomorrow?

A few hours into Tides of Tomorrow, you arrive at the Main Outpost. There, you meet Kass and learn how complicated the Ozen shortage problem really is. The area is crowded with people who are desperate for Ozen, but there isn’t enough to satisfy everyone’s needs.

Deciding who gets Ozen and who doesn’t isn’t easy. Unfortunately, during this part of the game, it’s part of your job to make these tough choices. Most of the quest focuses on who you give Ozen to, and each choice has different outcomes. Here are all the options and what happens with each.

    Talk With Kass And Obin
When you reach the area, a Marauder Guard will mention what the last Tidewalker did but will let you in regardless of their behavior. You need to pass him and head over to Kass and Obin, who are arguing under the big “Ozen” sign. Listen to their conversation and contribute where you can. Afterwards, Obin will leave, and Kass will fill you in on the situation. During these dialogue moments, it doesn’t matter much what you say; just agree to help.

Who Should You Give The Ozen To?
Kass takes your Ozen for safekeeping and hands you another bottle to distribute at the Outpost. This is the first of three bottles she provides. You can choose who to give each one to. Your options include:

    • Marauder Guard
Standing next to Kass, this guard without a helmet, with plastic on his face, is one option. Giving him Ozen might upset some Reclaimers.

    • Algae Farm Boss
Near the closed Ozen shop where Kass and Obin stood, the Marauder woman in charge of the algae farm can receive Ozen. She might keep it for herself, and Reclaimers generally dislike giving her Ozen, as she’s Marauder.

    • Algae Worker
Inside the algae farm, you can find a worker near the water. If he’s already had some Ozen, he might lie about it, but most Reclaimers approve of handing him the bottle.

    • Beggar
When you reach the central area, a beggar will approach asking for Ozen for his sick daughter. If you’ve previously given him a bottle, he might claim he has two sick daughters—possibly lying. Still, as a Reclaimer, he might appreciate receiving more Ozen.

    • Chess Players
On the second level, two siblings playing chess only accept Ozen if you bring two bottles—one for each. Since Kass only gives one at a time, you’ll need to get another bottle, perhaps from the kitchen upstairs, to satisfy them. People tend to be okay with giving Ozen to Reclaimers like these.

    • Dealer
On the second floor, above the Ozen shop, a Dealer sells Ozen or might accept some for free. Since she charges high prices, Reclaimers usually prefer to keep Ozen away from her.

    • Manford
To find Manford, first talk to Zabby, who works in the kitchen upstairs. She’ll tell you about her friend. You then check on him by using the key she provides. Giving him Ozen will please the Reclaimers, especially if you bring him some.

    • Jenkins
Near Kass, stairs lead up to Jenkins, who sits on the floor upset because his Ozen was taken. Giving him more Ozen can help. However, with each Tidewalker, he might appear to be mugged again, yet he’s still a Reclaimer, so sharing Ozen is popular.

    • Yourself
You can also choose to keep the Ozen and consume it yourself. Keep in mind, though, that this decision might upset some Reclaimers and affect your relationships with them.

Note: Some options might not be available if the last Tidewalker already handed out Ozen to those characters.

If you give at least two bottles of Ozen to Reclaimers they favor, you will earn their trust, making them more sympathetic toward Tidewalkers later on.

    Debrief With Kass
Once all the bottles are given, you return to Kass. The way to reach her is blocked by a crowd, but there’s a zipline outside the kitchen on the third floor that takes you directly to her. During the final part of the level, you have a private conversation where she returns your Ozen and gives you an extra bottle. After this exchange, the level concludes.

Later, Kass may confront the angry crowd, reaching for her gun. You can choose to intervene or not. Stopping her boosts your reputation with pro-Mankind factions, whereas doing nothing will just make her shoot into the air, with little impact.

Finally, you speak with Kass again and finish by receiving your original Ozen and a new bottle. With all that done, the level ends.

  • Who To Choose for Sybille’s Home Protector in GreedFall 2: Solving the Companion Quest

Who To Choose for Sybille’s Home Protector in GreedFall 2: Solving the Companion Quest

After talking to Sybille, you learn she has been targeted by assassins. The main question is, who can now protect her from these threats in GreedFall: The Dying World? Sybille recommends visiting her uncle, as family is usually the first place to turn to for help during tough times.

However, the situation is more complicated than it appears. Every favor you do seems to lead to another, and there’s some dark intrigue involving the royal family. Here’s what you need to know about hiring a bodyguard for Sybille and completing her companion quest, “Home Protection.”

    Home Protection Quest Walkthrough

Begin the quest by talking to Sybille later in the game. She will ask you to accompany her to Vespe Palace. Inside, you’ll walk through the main hall to the reception area and then into the Throne Room. Talk to the prince and let Sybille explain her concerns.

The prince agrees to help, but only if you assist him first. Someone is plotting against him, and he suspects it involves one of his mistresses. Your task is to find out who is involved and stop them. Only then will he provide official protection.

Ask all the questions you can to gather information. Then, leave the throne room, go through the reception area, and turn right into the interior courtyard. There, you’ll meet Volusa, one of the prince’s mistresses. Talk to her, but she won’t reveal much.

Leave the courtyard and go straight into the East Wing. Find the first door on the left, which leads to a bedroom with a chest and some coins on the table. Keep going further down the hall to another bedroom. This room belongs to the mistress, and her diary is on the desk. Read it to discover that Volusa fears for her life and believes there’s a secret room in the study. The best time to find it is after midnight.

Continue searching in her room, then return to the reception and wait until midnight. Head to the Throne Room and examine the vases with your tracking ability. The vase to the left of the throne opens a hidden room.

Inside, you’ll find a suspicious letter on the desk that involves a scandal linking the prince, Sybille, and her parents. Now, you must talk to the prince and decide what to do.

    Options include:

    • Denouncing Volusa (which reduces your reputation with Sybille by 2)
    • Not denouncing her (which boosts your reputation with Sybille by 2)
    • Returning the secret document to the prince (ensuring he becomes Sybille’s protector)
    • Telling him you’ll look for it, with the choice to pass it to the d’Orsay family, affecting your reputation with different factions

Next, leave the palace and head to the d’Orsay Family residence. Speak with Mister d’Argenton about providing protection for Sybille. As you mention the compromising document, you’ll have more choices:

    • Give him the document to proceed with the quest
    • Allow Sybille to decide herself (which increases your reputation with her and lets you continue)

It’s recommended to let Sybille make her own decision, since she values having control over her situation.

Finally, visit Sybille’s parents. Talk to them and choose whether to support their arguments or support Sybille. Supporting her keeps her favor, and after a tough discussion, the quest concludes. You will earn 1,000 experience points and a +2 reputation boost with Sybille.

Witnesses report Ünlü tossing the worker into the air and striking him repeatedly on the ground with a baseball bat. He recorded the entire one-minute attack on his phone.

Mai Ezz Eldin’s Marriage Condition – Who Is Ahmed Taymour?

ALBAWABA – Actress Mai Ezz Eldin shared photos from her wedding ceremony and announced her marriage to fitness trainer Ahmed Taymour on Tuesday evening.

She posted the photos on her Facebook account, commenting, “Thank God, by His grace, all good things are achieved. I pray for His blessings and ask for your heartfelt and sincere prayers for our happiness.”

This announcement follows nine years after she publicly opposed civil marriage and marriages outside of her religion.

During a segment on the show “100 Questions,” Mai Ezz Eldin was asked about her views on civil marriage or marrying someone of a different faith, similar to her Christian mother’s marriage to her Muslim father.

She responded, “No, my faith does not permit that. I am a very traditional person, and my vision for myself is to marry someone from my own religion who shares my values, not just in faith but in every aspect.”

She further added, “Before love, admiration is the initial phase. When I notice certain qualities and feelings towards someone, based on my perceptions, I can tell early on if they’re the right fit for me, even before the stage of love.”

Mai Ezz Eldin also discussed her preferences for a life partner on another show, “My Guest,” with journalist Moataz El-Demerdash. She said, “Everyone creates a list of qualities and ideals in their mind, but ultimately, fate is what decides.”

She continued, “When love strikes unexpectedly, you often realize that the person doesn’t possess many qualities you previously valued. You ask yourself, ‘Why did I spend years crafting a list?’ The truth is, there’s no such perfect match. Love is spontaneous and beyond calculation, and marriage is not something that can be measured or planned — it’s up to God’s destiny. If you obsess over a list, fate may bring someone who doesn’t match those criteria, and love will find a way regardless.”

During her appearances on the shows, Mai Ezz Eldin shared insights about her perspective on love and marriage, emphasizing the unpredictability of destiny and the importance of trusting divine timing.

Ahmed Taymour Khalil, her husband, is a pharmacist and nutritionist born in Alexandria on January 28th. He describes himself as a “multi-talented” individual on his Instagram page. He prefers to stay out of the entertainment scene, focusing instead on fitness and health. With over 117,000 followers on Instagram, and a penchant for sharing motivational and health-related content, Ahmed is known as a fitness enthusiast and style influencer.

He regularly posts about health, fitness routines, and motivational messages for his followers. Like Mai, he values privacy and shares only select moments about his personal life, with his TikTok account being limited to close friends.

In his initial statement about their marriage, Ahmed wrote on Facebook, “Thank God, by His grace, all good things are accomplished. I pray for His blessings and ask for your sincere prayers for our happiness.”

  • Trump Withdraws US from Global Health Pandemic Initiatives

Trump Withdraws US from Global Health Pandemic Initiatives

Washington, D.C. — On Friday, the administration of President Donald Trump announced that the United States will not adopt the amendments previously agreed upon with the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding pandemic responses, citing concerns over national sovereignty.

After returning to office on January 20, Trump initiated the U.S. withdrawal from the United Nations agency. However, the State Department clarified that the terms established last year would still apply to the U.S.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a long-time vaccine skeptic, asserted that these changes “pose an unnecessary threat to our sovereign right to establish health policies.”

In their statement, they emphasized, “We prioritize the interests of Americans and will not accept international agreements that compromise their freedoms, privacy, or rights.”

Rubio and Kennedy distanced the U.S. from a series of amendments to the International Health Regulations, which serve as a legal framework for managing diseases and were agreed upon during the World Health Assembly in Geneva last year.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus expressed disappointment over the U.S. decision to reject the amendments, tweeting that they are designed to respect member states’ sovereignty and clarify that the WHO cannot enforce lockdowns or similar restrictions.

Key changes included a commitment to equity and solidarity, with a plan to examine the needs of emerging countries during future crises.

Countries had until Saturday to express any reservations about the amendments. Conservative activists and vaccine skeptics in the U.K. and Australia, both governed by left-leaning administrations, have actively campaigned against these changes.

These amendments arose after the Assembly failed to secure a more ambitious global agreement on pandemic preparedness. A treaty was finally reached in May, but the United States did not participate due to its ongoing withdrawal from the WHO.

Under President Joe Biden, the U.S. was part of the negotiations in May and June 2024 but was unable to support the consensus due to demands for protections of U.S. intellectual property rights related to vaccine development.

Rubio’s predecessor, Antony Blinken, had characterized the amendments as a step forward.

In their rejection, Rubio and Kennedy claimed the proposed modifications “do not adequately address the vulnerability of the WHO to political influence and censorship, especially from China, during health crises.”

In response, Ghebreyesus insisted that the WHO remains impartial and collaborates with all nations to enhance public health.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is advocating for nations to increase taxes on sugary beverages, alcohol, and tobacco by 50% over the next decade. This marks its strongest endorsement of taxes aimed at addressing ongoing public health issues.

The UN health agency stated that this measure could reduce consumption of these products, which are linked to illnesses like diabetes and certain types of cancer. Additionally, it could generate funding at a time when global aid is declining and public debt is escalating.

“Health-related taxes are among the most effective tools we have,” commented Jeremy Farrar, the WHO’s Assistant Director-General for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. “It’s time to take action.”

The WHO introduced this initiative, dubbed “3 by 35,” during the UN Finance for Development conference held in Seville.

This tax initiative could potentially raise $1 trillion by 2035, leveraging data from health taxes imposed in countries such as Colombia and South Africa. The WHO has long supported taxes on tobacco and has recently advocated for similar measures on alcohol and sugary drinks. However, this is the first time it has proposed a specific target for price increases on all three products.

WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus emphasized that these taxes could assist governments in adapting to new economic realities while strengthening their health systems with the funds collected.

Many low and middle-income nations are facing reductions in aid, particularly from the United States, which is notably absent from the Seville conference. The U.S. is also in the process of stepping back from its involvement with the WHO.

    From $4 to $10

For instance, this initiative would entail a government in a middle-income country increasing taxes on a product to elevate its price from $4 today to $10 by 2035, considering inflation, according to WHO health economist Guillermo Sandoval.

The WHO noted that nearly 140 countries had already raised tobacco taxes and, consequently, prices by over 50% on average from 2012 to 2022.

Sandoval indicated that the WHO is also looking into broader tax recommendations, including those targeting ultra-processed foods, once the agency finalizes its definition of such foods in the coming months. However, he acknowledged that pushback from the industries concerned is anticipated.

This initiative is supported by organizations such as Bloomberg Philanthropies, the World Bank, and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and it includes assistance for nations wishing to act.

  • Completing Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Solves Time

As you embark on your journey in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, the myriad choices can feel a bit daunting as you take on the role of a versatile time-traveling hero. While the game offers a variety of tutorials that help explain the different systems, there’s a ton to explore, and you’ll need to dive in yourself to truly grasp everything.

Having invested many hours in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, we’re excited to share some insights that we wish we had at the start of our adventure.

    Embrace a Gathering Life…

A new Woodcutter in Fantasy Life i.

Gathering Lives are among the best options in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. You’ll find gathering nodes—such as trees, rocks, and fish—scattered throughout most areas outside of towns. Furthermore, you’ll need various materials for other lives as well.

For this reason, we highly recommend picking a Gathering Life early in your adventure.

Ultimately, the decision is yours, but we started with Woodcutter, which allowed us to make good money from items like Elder Pine Logs right off the bat.

    …But Don’t Forget About a Combat Life

The player prepares to battle Red Wolves near the capital in Fantasy Life i.

That said, it’s crucial to choose a Combat Life as well. Even if you decide not to engage in Gathering or Crafting at first, having combat skills is essential.

Combat is a must in Fantasy Life i, and you’ll face numerous scripted encounters, along with some boss battles later in the game.

While you could fight in your Brand New Life, the disadvantages make it one of your worst options. You’ll lack skills and weapon specialties; avoid this route!

    Talk to the Towers

Googlina in the West Skyridge Desert in Fantasy Life i.

The towers in Fantasy Life i are more than just landmarks; they are interactive characters. The vast world of Ginormosia is dotted with towers that help unveil different parts of the map. Unlike typical open-world games, these towers converse with you.

Engage with the towers frequently using the ‘Talk’ function to gather tips on shrine locations and other helpful hints. Plus, you need to chat with them to raise the enemy level in a zone.

    Increase Enemy Levels When Ready

Area Rank for the South Greatgut Plains in Fantasy Life i

As you complete tasks, you’ll earn points that allow you to raise the enemy ranks in each area. By doing so, you’ll reap greater rewards, including:

    • Lumber
    • Fish
    • Ore
    • Vegetables
    • Treasure

While the risks might be worth it, keep in mind that many enemies will attack you on sight. You’ve got to either be stealthy or prepared to face multiple defeats while maximizing each area’s benefits.

Thus, always monitor your Combat Life level before upping the Area Rank. Remember, your Gathering Life levels also need to be sufficient to make the most of these resources.

    Don’t Forget to Climb

Climbing a cliff in Ginormosia in Fantasy Life i

The game introduces the climbing mechanic early on, but its importance may not be evident right away. You might go a while without realizing you can climb ledges marked with the “look” prompt, no matter how high they are.

Climbing is crucial for reaching the highest points in Ginormosia. The sooner you embrace this skill, the more opportunities you’ll have!

Explore Caves, Even If You Aren’t a Miner

Great Copper Deposits in Fantasy Life i.

Caves are mainly sources of ore, which might lead you to overlook them at first if you’re not focused on the Miner Life. However, these caverns often hide treasure chests and valuable gathering items like mushrooms and shells.

The general rule of thumb: always enter any cave you find while exploring.

Progress Through the First Three Chapters Quick

The daily quests screen in Fantasy Life i.

Many systems within Fantasy Life i become available only after completing the first three chapters. It’s only then that you’ll genuinely explore various mechanics, like time travel and building your own town.

We can’t emphasize enough how much more awaits you once these initial chapters are completed.

Additionally, you’ll face strict caps on enemy levels, gathering nodes, and Life Quests that you can complete if you limit yourself to the early game stages.

While it’s important to elevate your Combat Life level and engage in some gathering, pushing through those first three chapters is vital to unlocking the game’s true potential.

Multiplayer Mode Won’t Be Available at First

Speaking with a fellow villager in your custom town in Fantasy Life i.

Lastly, it’s worth noting that multiplayer options unlock only after you start building your town in late Chapter 3. If you’re eager to team up with friends who have also bought Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, you’ll need to make it through several hours of gameplay first!

This adds further incentive to clear those early chapters, as your co-op gameplay can only commence once you’ve grasped the basics.

Remember, you can’t tackle story quests in multiplayer mode, nor can you take Phantoms beyond Ginormosia. These quests are meant to be a solo experience to maintain gameplay balance.

45 Countries Achieve Malaria Eradication by 2025

The Global Fight Against Malaria: Success Stories and Ongoing Challenges

    Understanding Malaria

Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites transmitted to humans through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. This disease remains a significant global health burden, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions.

    Malaria Eradication Efforts

Efforts to eradicate malaria have intensified over the decades, leading to significant successes. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), by January 2025, a total of 45 countries and one territory had successfully eradicated malaria. Achieving zero indigenous cases for a minimum of three consecutive years is a requirement to apply for WHO’s certification of malaria-free status.

    Recent Successes in Malaria-Free Certifications

In 2025, Georgia was highlighted as the latest country to achieve WHO malaria-free certification, a critical milestone following similar successes in Egypt and Cape Verde in 2024. These achievements serve as a testament to the effectiveness of global health initiatives and collaborative efforts to combat malaria.

    Georgia: A Case Study

Georgia’s journey to malaria eradication showcases the importance of robust health systems, proactive measures, and public awareness campaigns. By implementing targeted interventions, such as vector control and community engagement, Georgia was able to eliminate the disease from its territory.

Similarly, Egypt and Cape Verde have made strides in combating malaria, demonstrating that with the right strategies—such as improved diagnostics, treatment access, and anti-malaria campaigns—countries can join the ranks of malaria-free nations.

    Historical Context: Malaria-Free Milestones

The declaration of malaria-free status is not new. The United States, along with Italy and the Netherlands, was declared malaria-free in 1970. This long-standing success reflects decades of investment in public health infrastructure, research, and community health education. The impact of these efforts is profound, reducing the disease’s prevalence and contributing to healthier populations.

    Current Global Landscape of Malaria

Despite significant progress in some regions, malaria remains endemic in 83 countries worldwide. India, for instance, reported more than two million malaria cases in 2023, highlighting ongoing challenges in controlling the disease, particularly in densely populated areas.

    India: The Endemic Challenge

India’s struggle with malaria continues to be a major public health challenge. Factors contributing to the disease’s persistence include climatic conditions conducive to mosquito breeding, inadequate healthcare infrastructure in rural areas, and challenges in vector control.

The Role of the World Health Organization

The WHO plays a critical role in coordinating global efforts to combat malaria. Through its strategies and recommendations, the organization fosters international collaboration to enhance detection, prevention, and treatment of malaria. The WHO’s 2030 Global Technical Strategy for Malaria emphasizes the need for innovation, improved data collection, and stronger health systems to facilitate sustained progress against malaria.

    Community Engagement in Malaria Prevention

Community involvement is essential in the fight against malaria. Local populations must be educated about prevention methods, early symptoms of malaria, and the importance of seeking prompt medical attention. Community health workers can serve as vital links between health systems and households, promoting awareness and facilitating access to services.

Advances in Malaria Research and Technology

Recent years have seen significant advancements in malaria research, including the development of novel diagnostic tools, vaccines, and treatments. The WHO has endorsed the malaria vaccine RTS,S/AS01, marking a significant milestone in efforts to combat the disease, especially in high-burden areas.

The Road Ahead: Challenges and Opportunities

While the progress made in eradicating malaria is commendable, challenges remain formidable. Addressing malaria in regions that still face endemic rates requires continued investment, innovation, and global cooperation. Future strategies must focus on sustainable practices, advancing research, and enhancing public health infrastructure to combat not just malaria, but also other diseases that affect populations globally.

Cholera Surge: 3,400 Deaths in 2024, 120% Increase

Overview of Cholera-Related Mortality in 2024

Cholera, a waterborne bacterial infection, continues to pose a significant public health threat globally. Latest statistics reveal alarming trends in cholera-related mortality and infection rates for 2024. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 3,400 deaths have occurred due to cholera between the start of the year and September 29, marking an increase of over 120% compared to the same period last year.

Cholera Cases and Fatalities: A Closer Look

As reported, the total number of cholera cases, including both suspected and confirmed instances, has exceeded 439,000 globally during the same nine-month timeline. Although this reflects a 16% decrease from 2023, the sharp rise in fatalities is deeply concerning and highlights underlying issues in public health responses.

    Regional Breakdown of Cholera Cases

    Eastern Mediterranean Region

The Eastern Mediterranean Region has emerged as the area with the highest incidence of cholera cases, accounting for nearly 290,000 reported cases during this period. The numbers are alarming when considering the contributions from the following nations:

    • Afghanistan: 143,327 cases
    • Pakistan: 60,369 cases
    • Yemen: 36,404 cases
    • Sudan: 20,062 cases
    • Somalia: 19,208 cases
    • Syria: 10,563 cases

These countries collectively reported nearly 1,000 cholera-related deaths, underscoring the severe public health challenges they face.

    African Region

Following the Eastern Mediterranean, the African Region showed significant cholera cases, with more than 127,000 reported across 17 nations. Notably, the Democratic Republic of the Congo reported a staggering 25,221 cases, while Ethiopia and Zambia followed closely with 23,931 and 20,219 cases, respectively. Unfortunately, the African continent recorded the highest mortality rates tied to cholera in 2024, with particularly high fatalities in:

    • Zambia: 637 deaths
    • Zimbabwe: 399 deaths
    • Nigeria: 359 deaths

    Other Global Regions’ Cholera Statistics

    European Region

In Europe, cholera cases have been limited, with only 221 recorded in Mayotte, a French department, which included one fatality. This situation contrasts sharply with regions facing more significant outbreaks.

    South-East Asia

The South-East Asian region has reported over 12,600 cholera cases across five countries. These figures are broken down as follows:

    • India: 6,506 cases
    • Myanmar: 5,810 cases
    • Bangladesh: 241 cases
    • Nepal: 95 cases
    • Thailand: 5 cases

Regrettably, all 34 deaths in this region were reported in India, emphasizing the need for enhanced healthcare response mechanisms.

    The Americas

In the Americas, the situation appears concentrated, with all 9,630 cholera cases registered in Haiti, contributing to a tragic 142 recorded deaths. This data signifies the ongoing public health crisis in the country and highlights the necessity for intervention.

Factors Contributing to Rising Cholera Mortality

The increase in cholera mortality rates is emblematic of various contributing factors. Ongoing conflicts in affected regions frequently lead to a deterioration of healthcare infrastructure. These conflicts not only result in the destruction of sanitation facilities but also impede access to safe drinking water—one of the most critical vectors for cholera transmission.

Impact of Armed Conflicts on Health Infrastructure

The United Nations has outlined several consequences of armed conflicts that exacerbate cholera outbreaks:

    • Healthcare Access: Conflict often obstructs civilians’ ability to reach healthcare services.
    • Sanitation Damage: Armed hostilities can inflict physical damage to water and sanitation systems, severely limiting access for local populations.
    • Worker Safety: Attacks on healthcare workers discourage medical intervention and can lead to shortages in necessary resources for cholera treatment.

The Role of Climate and Natural Disasters

In addition to conflicts, severe flooding across Central and West Africa, as well as in South-East Asia, has catalyzed a surge in cholera transmission. The impacts of climate change and natural disasters significantly threaten critical public health infrastructures by:

    • Disrupting Services: Flooding often leads to infrastructure damage, rendering water and sanitation services inoperable.
    • Contamination of Water Sources: Increased rainfall can contaminate water supplies, creating ideal conditions for cholera outbreaks.

As the world faces these dual challenges of conflict and climate, the implications for public health systems are profound. The need for effective strategies to combat cholera in these vulnerable regions is more urgent than ever.
