  • How to Heal in Vampire Crawlers by Completing and Solving

How to Heal in Vampire Crawlers by Completing and Solving

Your total health points (HP) matter a lot in Vampire Crawlers because, unless you have a Revive item ready, you’ll lose your game when your health reaches zero. This is just how the game works—nothing unusual about that. However, the game doesn’t explain all the ways you can heal your character.

At first, the only healing method you learn about is the chicken, which will become your best friend early on. But as you play, you’ll discover several other ways to recover health—some are more effective than others. This guide covers all the healing options available in Vampire Crawlers and explains how to find each one.

    ### How To Heal

We’ve identified four main ways to heal your character.

    #### Find Chicken

The first and most common way is by finding chickens. Unfortunately, finding chickens is random. You’ll need to break all light sources and breakable objects in each dungeon, because chickens might appear unexpectedly. You can also find stands with chickens on them, but to get a chicken from these stands, you’ll need to sacrifice a card.

    #### Increase Your Recovery Stat

Once you unlock the Power Up building in your village, you can upgrade the Recovery stat. Improving this stat will automatically heal you for a certain amount of health after each encounter during a run. Additionally, there are cards and a Gem that boost healing: the cards are Pummarola, which heals 2 HP, and Pummadora, which heals 4 HP. The Gem, called Restore Health, also increases healing.

    #### Use Clerici

Clerici is a character you unlock later in the game. She might not be very strong on her own, but if you have unlocked a couple of Crawler Slots, she becomes an effective support character. Her special card heals you for 3 HP each time you use it, making her a valuable ally for healing.

    #### Use Celestial Dusting

Lastly, there are two more cards worth knowing about. One is Celestial Dusting, which is the starting attack card for O’Sole. When you use Celestial Dusting to defeat enemies, you have a chance to earn Little Heart cards. These are Wild Cards that, when used, heal at least 1 HP. Using this card not only deals damage but also provides opportunities for healing through these wild cards.

  • How to Overcome The Red Death in Vampire Crawlers by Completing and Solving

How to Overcome The Red Death in Vampire Crawlers by Completing and Solving

Vampire Crawlers features many enemies similar to those in Vampire Survivors, with the Red Death being the most memorable. In this universe, the Red Death is the classic Grim Reaper figure. It initially appears as an obstacle that signals the end of your run, indicating you’ve completed the current dungeon and can move on.

However, you can choose to fight the Red Death as an optional boss. Be prepared—this won’t be easy—and you’ll need to meet certain conditions before the fight begins. Here’s everything you need to know about how to face and defeat the Red Death in Vampire Crawlers.

    ### How To Fight The Red Death

To trigger the fight against Death, you must finish any dungeon while having at least one Revival (shown as a cake icon in the top right corner). When you meet this requirement, you’ll see a second option on the Stage Completed screen: Revive. If you select this, a battle against the Red Death will begin.

To have at least one Revive, you should increase your Revival stat in one of the following ways:
    – Play as Krochi, who starts with a full Revive and gains a small percentage each time you use a Wild Card.
    – Upgrade your Revival Power Up, which grants one Revive.
    – Use the Tirajisú card, which boosts your Revival by ten percent (but it gets destroyed after use).

The first two methods are the easiest for securing at least one Revive, but if you combine Wild Cards effectively, Tirajisú can provide a significant boost.

Before starting the fight, it’s recommended to have certain items equipped: Draw, Bracer, Clock Lancet, and a few Wild Cards not destroyed after use, plus some Tomes—especially if they contain Gems that reduce Mana costs. Gems that boost your combo or mana regeneration between turns are also helpful.

    ### How To Defeat The Red Death

Fighting the Red Death is about endurance and avoiding mistakes, as it can wipe you out with a single hit. It attacks with 333 damage when all six of its eyes are open. If your character isn’t built with multiple Hollow Hearts or similar upgrades, a single hit will likely end your run.

The Clock Lancet is crucial here: when only one eye remains open, use it (or a card with its Gem) to freeze the Red Death. This prevents it from attacking and resets its eye countdown.

To stay prepared, make sure you have:
    – Increased hand size.
    – Bracers equipped.
    – Draw cards.
    – Tomes that provide Mana, allowing frequent use of Clock Lancet.

Using Crawlers that draw when you play cards of specific colors can also help, especially if you’ve unlocked slots via Power Ups. Playing as Krochi is advantageous for a Revive boost.

Your main strategy should be to maximize damage, keep your Wild Cards active to sustain your combo, and use Tomes to replenish Mana as needed. Always pay close attention to the eyes on the Red Death. Adjust your combo timing according to how many eyes are left to avoid losing momentum when you need to freeze it.

Remember, don’t use the same card more than four times in a single turn—that will break your combo and trigger the Trickster enemy.

This fight tests your endurance because the Red Death has one million HP. Consistent damage output and staying alive longer will eventually wear down its health, especially if you’ve increased your damage through extra projectiles and boosts.

    ### Final Blow and Rewards

Keep attacking until you deal the final hit. Afterward, you’ll see an opportunity to collect extra coins from your relics. Keep fighting and stay ready for the moment to land the finishing blow.

Once you defeat the Red Death, you might be surprised to see a shovel for completing the level. Interacting with it causes another Red Death to appear and eliminate your character. You can restart the fight if you wish.

Interestingly, defeating the Red Death doesn’t grant any achievements or in-game messages—it’s a hidden challenge. However, your reward is unlocking the last character, MissingN0, who becomes available at the Inn after the fight.

  • How to Complete Every Arcana in Vampire Crawlers

How to Complete Every Arcana in Vampire Crawlers

In Vampire Survivors, Arcanas are special cards that provide unique passive effects for the entire run. Some examples include saving your Armor between turns, increasing your Mana capacity, or enabling new ways to deal damage. Only one Arcana can be equipped at a time, but they are very powerful, which explains why. To access them, you need to unlock their corresponding tent in your village, which appears after unlocking your first Arcana or after a few gameplay runs.

To unlock every Arcana, you need to complete specific tasks in the game. Here’s a list of the 12 Arcanas you can unlock, along with what they do and how to unlock each one:

    • And Another: Repeats cards this turn for free.
Unlock by playing 150 free-to-play cards (cards with zero mana cost that are tagged as “Free”).

    • Chain Link: Keeps combo effects active between turns.
Achieve by making a combo that lasts 12 cards or more, using Wild Cards to extend the chain.

    • Experimental Medicine: Doubles the healing from cards and items.
Unlock automatically once the tent is unlocked.

    • Jester’s Hat: Get a Wild Card on each floor during a run, useful for combos.
Play 150 Wild Cards, often obtained by breaking objects in levels.

    • Make a Scene: Triggers your Crawlers’ abilities at the start of each turn.
Activate 1,500 Crawler trigger abilities through frequent use during gameplay.

    • Mana Syphon: Gains a permanent +1 Mana for every 100 cards played.
Build a deck gaining at least 15 Mana in one turn, using Tomes and Wild Cards to extend combos.

    • Over the Top: Recover your Crawler card in your hand after losing it.
Play 100 Crawler cards without needing to trigger their abilities.

    • Sharp Mind: Save 5 Mana between turns.
Play purple cards (which mostly give Mana) 100 times cumulatively.

    • Shield Bash: Armor cards now deal damage equal to the armor they provide.
      Unlocked with the tent.

    • Swollen First: Deal damage at turn end equal to your deck size.
Create a deck of 40 cards by leveling up and opening chests extensively during a run.

    • Wild Buff: Cards from light sources now benefit from combo multipliers.
Play 200 cards obtained from breaking light sources, like torches or candles.

    • Your Shield My Liege: Save leftover Armor between turns.
Accumulate 2,000 Armor across your runs through armor cards and combos.

Once you unlock your first Arcana, the special tent appears in the village, allowing you to select which Arcana to equip. Remember, only one can be active at a time, so choose the one that best fits your play style.

  • Understanding How Stats Work in Vampire Crawlers: Completing and Solving

Understanding How Stats Work in Vampire Crawlers: Completing and Solving

A key to success in Vampire Crawlers is creating a balanced deck that includes enough attack cards, Mana cards, utility options, and combo opportunities. If your deck contains too many high-cost cards (cost-3 or higher), or if you lack Tome cards that provide extra Mana, you might find yourself at a disadvantage and could lose more often.

Additionally, you can upgrade various stats during your runs, whether for the current battle, the entire run, or as permanent boosts. Understanding what each stat does is important. Below, we’ll explain every stat icon in Vampire Crawlers and what they impact for your character.

Every Stat and What It Means

    Stat Icon Explanation
Max Health Black Heart Represents the maximum amount of health your character has.
Recovery Red Heart Shows how much health you’ll recover after a fight.
Hand Bracer Indicates the number of cards you draw each turn.
Mana Blue Sphere The amount of Mana you start each turn with.
Armor Silver Plate How much armor you have at the beginning of your turn.
Might Leaf Extra damage added to all your cards.
Area Candelabra Adds Splash Damage to your attacks.
Amount Ring Number of additional projectiles your attacks send out.
Duration Yellow Chest Extends how many times your Crawlers’ abilities can trigger.
Magnet Blue Sphere with Aura Grants extra cards when using Draw cards or Gems.
Revival Cake Number of times you can revive after defeat.
Luck Clover Chance of receiving four cards or Gems as a reward when leveling up.
Growth Crown Extra experience points gained for defeating enemies.

Reroll Dice How many times you can reroll rewards when leveling up or opening chests.
Skip Red Button and Forward Arrow How many times you can skip rewards to earn more XP.
Banish Hand Number of cards or Gems you can banish in rewards to prevent reappearance during the run.
Curse Red Skull Increases enemies’ damage and the experience you gain from battles.
  • Complete Every Weapon Evolution and Union in Vampire Crawlers

Complete Every Weapon Evolution and Union in Vampire Crawlers

Knowing how to use your initial cards and selecting rewards in Vampire Crawlers isn’t enough—you also need to enhance your cards and make them as strong as possible. You might also want to explore hidden combinations, called Evolutions, that can unlock new powerful cards.

Evolutions usually involve combining two cards to create a new one. The original cards are consumed in the process, but you get a new card that combines the best traits of both, sometimes with special abilities. Let’s go over all the Evolutions available in Vampire Crawlers and the card recipes needed for each.

    How to Make Every Evolution

There are 17 Weapon Evolutions and Unions you can unlock if you have the right cards. Here are all the recipes:

    Card 1 Card 2 Evolution
    Whip Hollow Heat Bloody Tear
Magic Wand Any Tome Holy Wand
    Runetracer Any Armor No Future
    Knife Bracer Thousand Edge
    Fire Wand Spinach Hellfire
    Lightning Ring Duplicator Thunder Loop
    Axe Any Candle Death Spiral
    Garlic Pummarola Soul Eater
    King Bible Spellbinder Unholy Versper
    Cross Clover Heaven Sword
    Pentagram Crown Gorgeous Moon
    Song of Mana Tirajisú Mannajja
    Shadow Pinion Wings Valkyrie Turner
Santa Water Attract Orb La Borra
Gatti Amari Stone Mask Vicious Hunger
    Peachone Ebony Wings Vandalier

Remember, one of the Evolutions requires eight different cards, including The Sparrow and Phiera Der Tuphello, to create Phieraggi—an extremely powerful gun.

Another helpful tip is that once you find the Grim Grimoire Relic in the Inlaid Library, you can pause the game and view a menu showing all the recipes you’ve unlocked so far, making it easier to keep track of your progress.

  • How to Evolve Weapon Cards and Solve Challenges in Vampire Crawlers

How to Evolve Weapon Cards and Solve Challenges in Vampire Crawlers

As you progress in Vampire Crawlers, you’ll build your deck with various weapon cards. These cards are essential for dealing damage to enemies and exploring different dungeons. You can upgrade your weapons in several ways, but evolving cards is one of the most effective methods.

By evolving your cards, you’ll unlock new, more powerful versions that can’t be obtained through other means. These evolutions usually significantly increase damage output, making them highly valuable. Here’s what you need to know about how to evolve your cards in Vampire Crawlers.

    How Evolutions Work

To create an evolution, you need two things: at least two specific cards and a Red Gem. Red Gems can be acquired in two ways—either as rewards from chests (which is random) or by finding a stone slab that contains a gem (a 50-50 chance). Sometimes, the slab might also hold a Blue Gem, which grants +1 Mana instead.

Once you interact with a Red Gem, the game will automatically tell you if you can evolve two cards you currently have. Keep in mind that both cards will be replaced by the new, evolved card—usually much stronger—so choose carefully before confirming.

There’s no limit to how many evolutions you can perform in a single run — as long as you have the specific cards and Red Gems.

To know which evolutions are available and what cards you need, you should unlock the Relic Grim Grimoire.

How to Unlock the Grim Grimoire

The Grim Grimoire is a special relic that shows all possible evolutions you can make. At first, it displays question marks for unknown cards, but as you unlock certain evolutions, those will be revealed. The relic highlights in yellow the cards you currently possess.

You can find the Grim Grimoire on a shining bookshelf in the Inlaid Library, which is the first area of the second location you can unlock. You need to break this bookshelf to access it.

The location is random, but you can see points of interest marked on your map. Visit all of them on each floor to find it.

    Performing Evolutions

After obtaining the necessary cards and a Red Gem, just pause the game. A menu for the Grim Grimoire will appear, allowing you to choose which cards to evolve. This process will replace your selected cards with their evolved versions.

  • Can You Complete Willem’s Quest in Vampire: The Masquerade?

Can You Complete Willem’s Quest in Vampire: The Masquerade?

Since the start of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, it’s clear that your character is quite powerful, especially after learning more about The Nomad. With this strength, most early challenges are fairly easy to handle.

However, once you reach the To Founder On The Lethe quest, the real challenge begins. You will face many more enemies, and you’ll need a solid strategy to succeed.

    ### How To Get To Founder On The Lethe Quest

This quest focuses on uncovering the meaning behind the mark on your hand. Before starting, you need to make some progress in the main story. After defeating Benny and becoming the sheriff, you must first stop a masquerade breach at the Atrium.

After defeating Ysabella at the Atrium and talking with Ryong, you can exit Weaver Tower and meet Tolly at the bottom. He introduces the quest and instructs you to find Willem at the South Main Street Parking Lot. When you arrive, you’ll need to fight through many anarch enemies.

    > Tip: It’s best to stay on the rooftops while heading to the quest marker, since the entrance is only accessible from above.

Before starting, unlock certain abilities, because the main difficulty of this quest is facing groups of enemies that include two or more elites at once. Fighting these groups directly usually results in failure. The recommended skills to unlock are:

    | Ability | Description |
    |———————|————————————————————————————————–|
    | Cauldron Of Blood | Boil an enemy’s blood to attract others, helping you avoid combat if needed. |
    | Possession | Take control of an enemy, forcing them to attack their allies. Beware – detection turns them hostile. |
    | Bladed Hand | Instantly kill smaller enemies or reduce an elite’s health by half with a quick strike. |
    | Blood Salvo | The strongest ability, allowing you to take out multiple elites with a few hits. |

    > Note: You can complete the quest with other abilities, but using this combination makes things much easier.

    ### How To Reach Willem In The Parking

Head to the roof marked with a blue icon. Here, you’ll meet some anarch enemies guarding the entrance. Use the Cauldron of Blood ability on an adversary on the left side of the roof; this clears the way to enter the parking lot.

The parking lot has two floors filled with enemies. On the upper level, you can possess an elite enemy to turn them against their allies, which helps clear out groups including elites, since they’ll keep fighting until they’re defeated.

Repeat this process on the lower floor, but it’s recommended to possess a commanding enemy with a ranged weapon, since they survive longer and can take out more enemies before falling. After clearing both floors, proceed through the door to reach the staircase.

    ### How To Find Willem In The Plastic Factory

Once inside the plastic factory, follow the simple path to an open area. Cross to the opposite side and climb the stairs twice to reach Willem. He’ll put you into an illusion, but you can choose “Is everything all right?” to get a positive response from him.

    > How To Break Willem’s Illusion

Willem’s illusion traps you within the factory three times. Each time, you face different challenges: the first two are combat-based, and the third is a puzzle.

In the first challenge, you’ll see Sabbat enemies. Use possession on the large elite in the area to eliminate most foes quickly. Once the enemies are dealt with, feed on the remaining ones to reveal Willem, who then causes the next illusion.

The second challenges involve puppets. These don’t have blood, so you can’t feed on them, and they attack in waves. Move around constantly, attacking the puppets to survive. After defeating all the puppets, feed again to reveal Willem for the final illusion.

The last challenge is non-combat. Use your Heightened Sense to follow the music. When you get close to a music player, use telekinesis to attack it, moving toward new sources as the sound moves. Follow the sound to reach the room where you first encountered Willem’s illusion.

Once there, attack Willem directly to break the illusion. Although Sofia’s wishes to save him aren’t possible, you can choose comforting dialogue options:
    – “I can help you, Willem.”
    – “There is still hope for you.”

After the explosion, the sequence includes several flashbacks, and the quest ends.

  • What Should You Do With Benny in Vampire: The Masquerade? Completing or Solving?

What Should You Do With Benny in Vampire: The Masquerade? Completing or Solving?

As you explore Seattle in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, you’ll find yourself repeatedly working as the go-to person for various tasks in the vampire world. As you advance in the game, new main quests keep opening up, each demanding different actions from you.

Some quests may have multiple endings based on your decisions, which can influence how your playthrough concludes. One example is the Star Of Cold Aspect quest, where you get to choose what to do with Benny at the end.

How to Start the Star Of Cold Aspect Quest

To begin this quest, you need to progress quite far into the main story. It’s a main quest, so it’s impossible to miss. First, you must enter the Weaver Tower and climb to meet Prince Ryong. Once you gain her trust a bit, she’ll ask you to meet her at Makom Bar the following day. Before that meeting, rest at your haven and go through Fabien’s initial flashback. Once you finish the flashback, you’ll wake up at your haven, and the quest will start.

Finding Benny and the mess he left behind

After meeting Prince Ryong at Makom Bar, she will tell you about the mess Benny left near the back entrance of the building. She asks you to handle it. To locate the mess, take the path on the right where Ryong was sitting—this leads you to the same place where Fabien’s flashback happened, where you’ll find a corpse against a large truck. Interact with the body to pick up Benny’s scent, then use your heightened senses to track his trail. This trail leads you to the bottom of the map behind the Glacier Hotel, where you’ll have to fight some Anarchs.

    How to Find Benny

After defeating the Anarchs near the Glacier Hotel, check a nearby dumpster with a marker to find another body inside. This person will tell you Benny is hiding at his haven, an auto repair shop marked on your map. Head to this location, which is the next step in your quest.

    Entering Benny’s Haven

When you arrive at Benny’s haven, the front door will be locked. Use your heightened senses to see scratch marks leading to the roof of the shop, where you’ll find a window. Climb through this window to meet Max, who will tell you Benny’s location. You can also choose a dialogue option to comfort him by saying, “You are not to blame.”

    Reaching Benny’s Location

Follow the quest marker to an area called the Western construction site. The site will be filled with Anarchs, but you don’t have to fight them all. Instead, sneak past and use distraction tactics, like throwing a bottle or using abilities to lure enemies away. Using a special ability that makes enemies’ blood boil and attracts others around them can be especially helpful here.

Once you’ve diverted the enemies, get close to the door and trigger a dialogue. This will highlight Benny’s trail when you use your heightened senses, showing it in white.

Reaching Benny in the Construction Site

Follow the scent into the building, descending a few floors to find Benny trapped behind a cement wall. Several enemies will be present — the best approach is stealth. Use gas cylinders scattered around to take out multiple enemies at once if you can group them together. Against tougher enemies, these cylinders are your best bet.

At the bottom of the building, you’ll confront Benny, who is covered in cement. Approaching him triggers a fight. Benny will be your first boss fight in the game, with his HP bar displayed at the top of the screen. You must reduce his health three times to defeat him. He mainly uses two attacks: a claw slash after a charging move and a jumping kick followed by a slash. Benny can also dash to your location if you’re too far away, so stay alert.

To defeat him efficiently, look for blue objects like guns in the environment with your heightened senses. These can deal significant damage. When phase two and three begin, four Anarchs will spawn and attack. It’s wise to draw their focus onto Benny first, letting them weaken each other, and then deal with the remaining enemies. Benny’s third-phase stomp attack deals massive damage in an area, so keep your distance during this move.

What to Do After Defeating Benny

Once Benny is defeated, Katsumi will arrive and give you a choice: either take Benny to Ryong or leave him with Katsumi. Choosing to take Benny with you doesn’t lead to a fight with Katsumi, but she will become angry. Leaving Benny with Katsumi will disappoint Ryong, but your decision may influence the game’s ending. Regardless, you will become the Sheriff of Seattle. You can also choose to say, “Alright. Let us talk,” which will earn a positive reaction from Katsumi.

  • How To Get Outside The Apartment in Vampire: The Masquerade Using Completing and Solving

How To Get Outside The Apartment in Vampire: The Masquerade Using Completing and Solving

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 may not have the largest open world compared to other recent games, but it significantly expands its environment when you access certain buildings during the main story. Each time you try to go through these buildings, you’ll often need to find hidden routes because the main entrances are blocked.

From the very start of the game, you’ll encounter puzzles that require solving to progress. For example, when leaving your initial apartment, you have to avoid alerting the police. Luckily, following specific steps makes this easier.

    ### How to Unlock the “To Taste A Foreign Body” Quest
You’ll reach this quest early in the game during the tutorial. After waking up, you’ll first defeat a police officer in a cutscene. Then, as you explore a small corridor, another officer will appear, prompting you to attack him when he approaches.

After defeating the second officer, follow the straightforward path until you arrive at a larger room with stairs. However, the stairs will be blocked, so you’ll need to jump onto some boxes and then leap through the corner gap to reach the upper floor. Moving through this corridor, a cutscene triggers, introducing Fabien.

While the dialogue choices here don’t heavily influence the story, selecting the right options can please Fabien. When asked about the situation, replying with “It seems we’re both in the dark” will set the stage for the next part of the quest, which begins immediately afterward.

    ### How to Reach the Roof
In the next segment, you enter a building and find the main entrance. Unfortunately, police are guarding it, so you can’t just walk outside. Instead, turn to the right in the room and use your special sight to locate a blue pipe in the elevator shaft. Use telekinesis on this pipe to drop the elevator, creating a new way out. Climb into the shaft, jump onto the elevator, and then use the ladder to ascend higher. Continue through the corridors until you reach an open area with a small plank bridge.

Cross the bridge and enter the rooms beyond. First, you’ll find a bloody package near some graffiti. Next, proceed along the path past a lamp, but be careful to sneak past a police officer here without engaging rather than triggering a fight. Use your special sight to spot white objects you can manipulate with telekinesis to distract him by throwing them at the wall. Take the right path and go straight through a small room.

In this room, you’ll see a white cloth hanging from a hole above—take it to continue. Moving through the upper area, you’ll find interactable objects like a painting and a radio, which provide lore and background information about Seattle for those interested. After passing the radio, head into the next room through another hole that elevates you higher. On the other side, you’ll have to jump across a large gap—gliding across the moonlit space—to reach the next room, then enter through the door on the right.

Further along this path, you’ll encounter more officers and hide behind cover to avoid detection. Wait for them to move away, then slip through a small gap in the wall to continue descending into the building.

Inside, you’ll repeatedly face ghouls. Although combat is a part of the challenge, you can also apply stealth tactics here. Using your sight, locate blue planks on the ceiling, and with telekinesis, remove them to allow jumps to higher platforms. Collect potion items hidden above and move forward to reach rooms filled with more ghouls. To stay stealthy, wait for the right moments to silently take down enemies and avoid unnecessary fights, especially if you prefer to conserve your health.

    ### How to Defeat the Ghouls
When facing ghouls, a stealth approach often works best. For instance, get a jump attack to eliminate some enemies quickly, then follow up with regular or stealth kills on others. Use your special sight to locate blue planks or other interactable objects to access higher areas. Be strategic—wait for enemies to turn their backs before striking and use the environment to your advantage.

Once you clear the room, you can jump through a hole in the roof on the other side to reach the rooftop, which concludes the main part of the quest. There, you’ll meet Fabien again, and choosing the dialogue line “Unusual, to wake to a kind word” will keep him in a positive mood.

  • Mastering Vampire Energy and Thirst in The Sims 4

Mastering Vampire Energy and Thirst in The Sims 4

Your Sim has recently become a vampire in The Sims 4, and this transformation brings about some significant changes, primarily that they no longer require standard food. If you’re navigating the world of vampire Sims for the first time, you’re in the right spot.

This guide will help you understand how to manage the needs of your vampire Sim in The Sims 4. We’ll explore how their needs differ from those of regular Sims and how you can meet them. Keep in mind that you’ll need the Vampires game pack to create a vampire Sim.

    How Are Vampire Sims Different?

While vampire Sims share some traits with regular humans, there are key differences. Most notably, vampires don’t need to use the bathroom, eliminating the need to worry about toilets in their homes.

Additionally, their Energy and Hunger bars are replaced by Thirst and Vampire Energy. The Vampire Energy bar is located at the top of the screen and appears as a deep purple bar. This is a crucial aspect of managing your vampire Sim’s needs.

Despite these changes, vampires still require Hygiene, Social, and Fun.

    What Drains Vampire Energy?

Vampire Energy powers your Sim’s special abilities. While this energy drains slowly, using vampire powers, such as transforming into a bat or charming another Sim, consumes it rapidly. Another major factor that depletes Vampire Energy is exposure to sunlight. Vampires will begin to burn in the sun, losing energy, and prolonged exposure can lead to death.

    How Do Vampires Sleep?

To restore Vampire Energy, a vampire Sim must sleep or meditate. However, instead of using beds, vampires sleep in coffins. You can find various coffin styles in Build/Buy mode. They serve the same purpose as beds; your vampire Sim can even Woohoo in them!

If your Sim needs a quick energy boost, they can use the Dark Meditation ability. This allows them to meditate briefly, restoring some energy, although it’s not a comprehensive solution.

    How To Fulfill Vampire Thirst

Vampires must consume Plasma to satiate their Thirst. They can obtain Plasma from three sources: Plasma Fruit, Plasma Packs, and regular human Sims. Let’s break down each option.

    Drinking From Plasma Packs

Plasma Packs are artificial blood packs that your Sim can purchase from a computer after reaching level three in the Vampire Lore skill. They offer a way for vampires to avoid direct interaction with humans.

Once your Sim achieves level four in Vampire Lore, they can create Plasma Packs from fish or frogs.

    Drinking From Plasma Fruit

For those with a green thumb, Plasma Fruit is a great way to replenish Thirst. Vampires can consume the plasma directly from the fruit, but one fruit alone won’t be sufficient. Fortunately, they can eat multiple fruits in succession.

You can find a Plasma Fruit tree in Forgotten Hollow, located on a slope near a dead tree. This tree is public, so you can easily harvest its fruits.

At Vampire Lore level eight, your Sim can buy plasma fruit seeds to plant, perfect for those who don’t live in Forgotten Hollow or want to grow their own trees.

    Drinking From Normal Sims

Your vampire Sim can also consume plasma from regular Sims. This can be done in a couple of ways. If your vampire maintains a good relationship with another Sim, they can politely ask for a drink.

If there is no relationship, your Sim can compel the other Sim to provide plasma. They can drink a small or large amount of plasma, with larger quantities being an effective way to refill Thirst.

What Happens If A Sim Is Too Thirsty?

If a vampire Sim becomes too thirsty, their instincts can take over, making them harder to control. They may randomly attack Sims to drain their plasma. This behavior can be entertaining for a villainous vampire but may damage relationships.

Low Thirst can trigger significant moodlets, with three notable effects:

    • Need to Feed

Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu Will Change A Classic Vampire Trope

Very few directors prioritize research as much as Robert Eggers does. In his first three films—2016’s The Witch, 2019’s The Lighthouse, and 2022’s The Northman—Eggers has showcased a passion for narratives set in bygone eras, coupled with an unwavering dedication to accurately portraying the rituals and beliefs of the respective historical contexts. His latest endeavor, Nosferatu, looks to continue this tradition of authenticity and depth.

This new film is a remake of the 1922 silent classic and takes place in early 19th-century Germany. Bill Skarsgård stars as Count Orlok, an ageless vampire who becomes obsessively enamored with Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp), the wife of a driven real estate agent named Thomas (Nicholas Hoult). While Nosferatu draws significantly from Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Eggers’ thorough historical research led him to make an intriguing departure from standard vampire lore.

“You’ll notice that in this film, Orlok drinks blood from the heart instead of the neck,” Eggers explained in an interview with SFX Magazine. “While it might make more sense to do it from the neck, this choice is rooted in folklore. When people experience vampiric attacks, it’s often compared to old hag syndrome, where individuals feel pressure on their chest, leading to the belief that vampires drink blood from there.”

The initial trailers for Nosferatu have cloaked Skarsgård’s Count Orlok in shadow and intrigue. As a result, audiences will likely enter the film without any clear expectations of what the central vampire will appear like. However, anticipation is building for this horror film, which has the potential to be one of the year’s last major mainstream successes. Eggers continues to rise in Hollywood since the debut of The Witch.

The full scope of Eggers’ vision for Nosferatu is yet to be discovered. Moviegoers who plan to see it when it premieres later this month can expect a fresh take on the iconic vampire, deeply influenced by Eggers’ fascination with forgotten legends and traditions.

Nosferatu is set to be released in theaters on December 25.
