Roborock New Robot Vacuum Cleans Carpets Without Mops

Robot vacuums can independently clean floors, but they still require some upkeep. Brushes can gather hair, dustbins need to be emptied, and mops must be washed and dried between uses.

Roborock’s latest Qrevo 2 Pro is designed to simplify some of these tasks. This robot vacuum delivers 25,000Pa of suction power, includes an automatic mop removal feature, anti-tangle brushes, and a versatile docking station that empties its dustbin, refills the water tank, and cleans the mops. The Qrevo 2 Pro will be available in the U.S. starting August 28 for $549.99 during an introductory sale. Its standard retail price is $799.99.

The mop stays behind when it reaches carpeted areas

One standout feature is Auto Mop Removal. When the Qrevo 2 Pro detects it needs to vacuum carpeted flooring, it can leave the mop at the dock and pick it back up afterward. It also offers dedicated carpet modes that boost suction or allow the robot to revisit the same spot in a crisscross pattern for thorough cleaning.

Image showing the Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro on carpet with a reversible side brush and flexible mopping arm close to the wall.

This robot uses a DuoDivide main brush paired with an anti-tangle side brush. Roborock claims the system achieved a 0% hair-tangling rate and a 100% hair removal rate during controlled tests, though actual results can vary depending on your environment. For cleaning edges, a reversible side brush changes direction when entering corners, while the FlexiArm mop can extend to within just 1.85mm of a wall.

The dock handles most maintenance tasks

The included dock takes care of many maintenance duties. It cleans the mop pads, dries them with warm air, automatically empties the dustbin for up to 65 days, and refills the water tank. During mop washing, the internal heater heats up to 75°C, and during drying, the air reaches 45°C.

Image showing the Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro in a room with the dock nearby, demonstrating its cleaning capabilities.

Roborock has explored some more innovative ideas, such as a mechanical arm on the Saros Z70 and a prototype capable of climbing stairs to clean. While the Qrevo 2 Pro adopts a more traditional design, features like automatic mop removal and a low-maintenance docking station make it a notably convenient choice.

  • HIZERO Believes Your Vacuum Might Be Overdoing It

HIZERO Believes Your Vacuum Might Be Overdoing It

Step into nearly any home after a hectic day, and you’ll notice the floor tells a more complex story than a vacuum can easily clean. There might be crumbs hiding under the dining table, a splash of water beside the sink, hair tangled near the sofa, and faint traces of dirt brought in on someone’s shoes. While each of these messes is simple to clean individually, the real challenge is that they often arrive all at once, forming a multifaceted mess.

HIZERO has centered its entire cleaning approach around this messy reality. Instead of focusing solely on suction power to handle debris, the company questions whether suction should even be the primary method. Its patented No Suction Technology employs a special bionic polymer roller to pick up both dry debris and liquids directly from surfaces, then separates and manages what it collects.

When the cleaning process becomes more complex than the mess itself

Typically, the cleaning industry responds by making the machines more advanced. Motors become more powerful, rollers more specialized, filters more intricate, and wet-and-dry units more capable of handling various debris. Each upgrade addresses a specific limitation but also introduces new components that require maintenance and careful operation.

Suction remains popular for good reason. Airflow is highly effective at lifting loose particles from a surface and directing them into a collection system. The challenge begins when the mess isn’t just dust or crumbs—liquid, hair, food particles, and dirt all behave differently—and traditional wet-and-dry cleaners still rely heavily on suction to handle them all.

This leads to familiar compromises. Solid debris and dirty water can mix, clogging parts and reducing efficiency. Powerful motors needed for suction generate more noise and consume more energy. Airflow can stir up fine particles, and rollers, filters, tanks, and other components require ongoing cleaning and maintenance.

HIZERO resets the process by bringing collection directly back to the surface. Its proprietary bionic polymer roller is designed to collect dry debris and liquids instantly, separating what it gathers rather than passing everything through a single suction pathway.

The roller is where HIZERO charts a different course

Traditional fiber rollers and pads usually work as part of a larger cleaning system, making contact with the surface while suction, water delivery, filters, and other tools handle the rest. HIZERO’s unique polymer roller plays a more active role. It directly collects dry debris and liquids from hard surfaces, making it a central component of how the machine cleans.

This approach is especially effective for debris that tends to linger after the obvious mess has been cleaned. For example, pet hair can wrap around cleaning parts and become another maintenance chore, rather than just disappearing with the dirt. HIZERO’s system is engineered to pick up hair and solid debris during the same cleaning pass, keeping these materials separate from liquid waste.

HIZERO emphasizes that its polymer roller is fundamentally different from standard fiber rollers. Instead of supporting a suction-based system, it’s integral to its patented No Suction Technology. The design positions the collection mechanism right at the surface where the debris is in contact with the roller.

The EAZY Bionic Mop applies this principle to manual cleaning. With a simple push-and-pull motion, it sweeps, mops, washes, and wipes simultaneously. A trigger releases fresh water to refresh the roller, while debris and liquids are separated for disposal. There’s no need for a bucket or cleaning solutions, and the mop doesn’t need power or charging. It can easily be rinsed under running water.

The simplicity of the EAZY design is beneficial because it eliminates complex automation. The roller manages collection, the system handles what’s picked up, and the user isn’t switching between a vacuum, mop, or bucket for different cleaning stages.

    GLIDE automates the idea

Manual tools are one method to rethink cleaning mechanics. HIZERO has integrated the same concept into an autonomous floor cleaner called GLIDE, described as the world’s first no-suction robot cleaner.

GLIDE employs HIZERO’s bionic cleaning system to handle wet spills, stains, debris, and hair. Its waste system separates hair, solid waste, and filthy water as it collects, while the no-suction design eliminates filters and dust bags typical of conventional robotic vacuums.

Operating at around 56 decibels, the robot can run for up to 220 minutes. Its multi-roller system works in tandem with dedicated clean and waste water tanks both onboard the robot and at its station.

Thanks to its quieter operation, cleaning can happen without turning the room into a noisy environment—ideal for homes where people work, relax, or sleep. Moreover, HIZERO highlights that this architecture helps prevent clogging and dust blowback common in traditional suction-based robots.

Maintaining GLIDE is also simpler. Automation allows the robot to handle most of the work independently, and with fewer components related to suction, ongoing upkeep is less demanding—reducing the chance of the machine becoming another household chore.

HIZERO’s innovations extend beyond the floor

Home surfaces aren’t limited to floors. Countertops, tables, windows, and other surfaces accumulate crumbs, spills, smudges, and dust, yet they’ve traditionally required different tools and approaches.

In 2025, HIZERO launched HANDY—a multi-surface cleaner designed to replace traditional cloths. It leverages the company’s bionic technology and polymer Multi Roller to extend its cleaning capabilities to surfaces beyond floors, tackling a broader range of messy tasks.

By 2026, HIZERO expanded its product offerings to include hard-floor cleaners, multi-surface tools, manual cleaning products, and robotic systems, all within its No Suction Cleaning Ecosystem. Applications include floors, countertops, windows, and other hard surfaces for both residential and commercial spaces.

The focus on commercial environments underscores the practical value. While homes can tolerate longer or less frequent cleaning routines, businesses like hotels, restaurants, schools, offices, and retail stores often need frequent, repeated cleaning of hard surfaces. HIZERO’s solutions aim to meet the demanding needs of these settings, ensuring cleanliness throughout the day and reducing maintenance effort.

Efficiency extends beyond the cleaning itself

The true test of cleaning devices often happens after they’ve been used. While performance metrics like pickup efficiency, coverage, runtime, and navigation are immediately visible, the less obvious factors—such as rinsing the roller, emptying the tank, or removing hair from components—are often overlooked.

Spending a few extra minutes on cleanup after each session might seem trivial, but when repeated multiple times weekly, those minutes add up. Even after a floor is cleaned, the household member responsible still faces maintenance tasks.

HIZERO’s design aims to streamline that second phase of cleaning. Its system separates solid debris from liquids during collection, while its architecture reduces the number of components that need regular care. The result is a cleaning process focused not only on the surface but also on simplifying post-cleaning upkeep.

This approach is especially valuable in high-traffic environments. Hotels, restaurants, schools, offices, and retail spaces often need frequent touch-ups, making what might be minor chores at home into significant daily tasks. HIZERO’s tools are tailored for both hospitality and commercial settings, emphasizing efficiency and ease of maintenance.

For consumers, the goal is clear: avoid another appliance that requires its own cleaning. HIZERO’s suite of manual, robotic, and multi-surface solutions is designed to give back time and reduce the effort involved in maintaining a clean environment. Recognizing that the work doesn’t end when the machine stops is key—post-cleaning care matters too. Visit Hall 10.1 | Booth 131 at IFA to experience the latest innovations firsthand.

  • Tested Tineco Pure ONE Station 5 And Dyson V11 Clear Winner

Tested Tineco Pure ONE Station 5 And Dyson V11 Clear Winner

Cordless vacuums are a must-have in my household, where my kids and pets are always making a mess. I need something that’s convenient, powerful, and simple to operate.

I don’t want to hassle with lugging around a heavy vacuum up and down stairs, plugging it into different outlets, or tripping over cords.

Two top options are the Tineco Pure ONE Station 5 and the Dyson V11. Both promise strong suction, extended battery life, and features designed to simplify cleaning and boost efficiency.

I tested them in my home to see which one truly lives up to the hype.

What I liked about the Tineco

The first feature that caught my attention was the push-button power. No need to hold down a trigger the entire time you vacuum. That might sound trivial until you’ve used a model that requires continuous pressure. With two toddlers, I don’t want my hand cramping halfway through, and the Tineco’s on/off switch makes it much more comfortable.

It’s also very easy to maneuver and slim enough to slide under couches and tight spaces around furniture. With kids, crumbs are often tucked away in those spots, so being able to reach them easily is a big advantage.

My husband was genuinely impressed with the built-in headlight, and I have to admit I found it pretty handy too. It illuminates dust and dirt you might otherwise miss. Watching it all get sucked up as you clean is oddly satisfying.

A standout feature is the self-emptying base. When you finish vacuuming, simply dock the device, and it automatically empties into a larger bin inside the base. I can do several cleanings before needing to empty it, which is far more convenient than having to empty a handheld canister after each session.

The Pure ONE Station 5 model is designed with pet owners in mind, and it certainly delivers. I have two pugs who shed constantly, and the ZeroTangle brush handled everything without issue. I’ve never had to stop and untangle or clean the brush, even when cleaning rugs, hardwood floors, and tight corners.

The Dyson V11 also picked up pet hair well, but I did need to untangle the roller once during my testing. It’s not a dealbreaker, but the Tineco definitely makes pet hair cleanup easier and more hands-off.

What I liked about the Dyson V11

Right out of the box, the Dyson V11 feels premium. I love the deep blue color and the digital display on the back. It isn’t a touchscreen, but it looks sleek and offers quick info on battery life and cleaning mode—really helpful features.

It performs exceptionally on hardwood floors, gliding effortlessly without needing any setting adjustments, which I’ve always appreciated about Dyson. It also works well on carpets, although like the Tineco, it struggles a bit with thin rugs that tend to bunch up.

My only real complaint is the trigger. Having to keep it pressed down during cleaning gets tiring—my hand starts to fatigue after a while, and honestly, I’d prefer just pressing a button and walking away.

    Ease of Use and Value

The Tineco weighs approximately 10.5 pounds with the base, while the Dyson V11 is about 6.7 pounds, making it slightly lighter. Both are easy to maneuver, but the Dyson feels more top-heavy, whereas the Tineco glides smoothly under furniture without resistance.

Storage is another big difference. The Tineco’s freestanding dock charges the vacuum and manages the self-emptying process, so you don’t need to install anything on the wall. Just place it in the dock when finished, and it’s ready for next time.

The Dyson comes with a wall-mounting bracket that you need to install yourself. Our unit just rests on a shelf in the laundry room, which works fine—but the Tineco’s setup is more convenient and stable.

Both units promise up to 60 minutes of runtime in normal or auto mode, but in practice, that drops to about 10 to 30 minutes on higher suction—where I do most of my cleaning. The Tineco fully recharges in around 3–4 hours, compared to Dyson’s 4.5 hours.

While Dyson offers a removable battery for swapping, the Tineco’s all-in-one dock system means you don’t have to worry about plugging anything in each time you recharge.

Pricing-wise, the Tineco Pure ONE Station 5 is currently listed at $459 on Amazon, versus the Dyson V11 at $549.95. Given that the Tineco includes its self-emptying base and features I actually use daily, I believe it offers better overall value.

Dyson still impresses with its appearance and performance on hardwood, but for everyday convenience and value, the Tineco is the smarter choice.

    And my winner is…

Both vacuums do an excellent job, and your floors will look clean with either. But for my home, the Tineco Pure ONE Station 5 emerges as the top pick.

Its push-button operation, self-emptying station, pet-hair handling, easy docking, and effective carpet suction make it a perfect fit for a busy home with kids and pets.

While Dyson stands out with its sleek design and hardwood floor prowess, the Tineco outshines in terms of convenience and practicality for daily use.
