Amiibo Completing Guide & Solving in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Amiibos have been around for quite some time, and Nintendo continues to support them in some of their early releases for the Switch 2, including Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. In celebration of Metroid’s launch, Nintendo has released three new Amiibos featuring Sylux, Samus, and Vi-O-La.

These aren’t the only Amiibos compatible with Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. If you own any of the older Metroid Amiibos—such as Dark Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Samus from Smash Bros., Samus from Metroid Dread, Samus Aran, Ridley, E.M.M.I., or Metroid—you can scan those as well.

How to Scan Amiibos

The process for scanning Amiibos depends on the game and your controller. Since Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is available on both the Switch and Switch 2, you can scan Amiibos with either console and its controllers. To scan an Amiibo, start by opening the in-game menu and locating the scan option.

In Metroid Prime 4, go to the main menu, then navigate to the far right tab where you’ll see an Amiibo icon. Select it to initiate a scan. The game will then tell you where to place the Amiibo on your controller for scanning:

Joy-Cons: Place the Amiibo on your right analog stick.
Pro Controller: Position the Amiibo in the center of the controller over the Switch or Switch 2 logo.

Even if you are using the Joy-Con connector to combine controllers into one, treat them as separate Joy-Cons and place the Amiibo on the right analog stick.

After scanning, you’ll see a message indicating the Amiibo was detected, and you’ll receive the associated reward. If the Amiibo isn’t supported, the game will notify you that it isn’t compatible.

All Amiibo Scans and What They Unlock

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond works with all Metroid Amiibos, including older ones and those from Super Smash Bros. However, many Amiibos only produce a unique sound when scanned and don’t unlock in-game rewards. The only Amiibos that grant actual rewards are the ones specifically made for Metroid Prime 4, with others providing minor effects like sounds.

Below is a breakdown of what each compatible Amiibo unlocks:

Note: If an Amiibo isn’t listed above, it isn’t compatible with Metroid Prime 4 or won’t unlock in-game rewards.

Most of the older Metroid Amiibos will only produce sounds and won’t provide in-game benefits unless they are the specific Amiibos designed for Metroid Prime 4. The full cinematic unlock feature, for example, requires achieving 100% completion without necessarily using Amiibos, though having the Amiibo can enhance the experience.

Exploring the surface in Arc Raiders requires careful management of your resources, especially since danger lurks everywhere, and there’s a real risk you might not make it back. However, you can take precautions to improve your chances of gathering loot. The world is open to you—pretty much everything is accessible, except for doors that are locked.

Getting past these barriers means securing access to more loot, but first, you need to find the keys. Without a set spawn point, locating keys can be quite challenging. We’re here to help you identify where to find keys for various regions, along with the best spots to use them for better loot and quick escapes.

How To Get Keys

Keys are special items you can pick up while exploring the world. They allow you to unlock certain doors, giving access to areas rich with loot that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to reach. Since locked areas tend to have higher-quality gear, hunting for these keys is essential for every raider.

Keep in mind, keys are consumable—once you use one, it’s gone. This makes it especially important to be cautious during PvP encounters. Make sure to check areas carefully so you don’t end up in a shootout while rummaging through abandoned buildings.

Tip: Keep your keys safe by storing them in your secure pocket. That way, you won’t accidentally drop them in the chaos.

Every Key and Where to Use It

Most keys drop randomly, but the following table highlights reliable locations where you can find each type:

This way, even if things turn sour, you’ll leave with loot rather than returning empty-handed.

How Armory Completing Works in Black Ops 6: A Solving Guide

The Armory system makes its comeback in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. First introduced in Modern Warfare 3 (2023), the Armory serves as a repository for previous seasonal rewards, letting players earn them at their own pace. If you missed out on prior battle passes or limited-time events, you can still obtain gameplay-altering rewards from those sources.

If you’ve overlooked a strong perk or weapon, the Armory system allows you to catch up with other players easily. This brief guide will walk you through how to navigate the Armory system, how to access it, and address some common inquiries related to it.

What Are Armory Unlocks?

Armory unlocks enable you to access any previous seasonal weapon, field upgrade, perk, wildcard, aftermarket part, or scorestreak. At the conclusion of each season, all items introduced during that season are added to the Armory’s lineup. Players can then choose which unlocks to pursue, and any XP earned will contribute to that selected item.

You can only track one Armory unlock at a time, and changing your current challenge does not erase your progress.

It’s important to note that the Armory also includes event-related items, not just battle pass rewards. For instance, if you missed a weapon conversion kit tied to a limited-time event, you can still obtain it through Armory unlocks once that event concludes. Armory unlocks never expire or leave the game.

How to Access the Armory

The Armory can be found under the Barracks tab in any online mode—including Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. When you’re in the Barracks tab, choose “Challenges” and then “Armory” to view your current unlockable items. You can only focus on one item at a time.

Once you select an item, all XP you earn will count towards that current unlock. Most items require around 150,000 XP to unlock, though weapons usually need more. XP gained from any mode counts, and this includes bonuses from Double XP Tokens and events. For faster weapon unlocking, we recommend farming in Zombies, as it offers generous XP rates and avoids PvP interactions, making it a great mode for leveling up weapons.

Armory FAQ

While the Armory system has largely remained unchanged since last year’s MW3, there are some quirks worth noting. Below are answers to frequently asked questions regarding the system.

I Can’t Access The Armory? Why?

You must reach Level 24 to use the Armory system. After reaching this level, you can begin unlocking any items in the Armory. Prestiging does not affect your access.

What Isn’t Included In The Armory?

Limited-time cosmetics, such as those from events and seasonal battle passes, are not included in the Armory. Only items that affect gameplay will be added.

Can I Change Armory Unlocks Mid-Challenge?

You can switch unlocks without losing any XP you’ve earned for the previous item. Just keep in mind that you can only work on one unlock at a time.

Why Are Certain Items Missing?

This could mean you’ve already unlocked the item or that a bug is preventing it from showing up. If you haven’t unlocked the item, it’s likely due to the latter reason. You may need to wait for a future update to fix it. Remember, any item currently available in the active season will not appear in the Armory; only past seasonal and event items are included.
