  • Choosing the Perfect Path with the Arc Raiders Skill Tree Planner for Completing and Solving

Choosing the Perfect Path with the Arc Raiders Skill Tree Planner for Completing and Solving

To succeed in Arc Raiders, you need a solid inventory of weapons, health supplies, and other essentials. One of the most crucial elements that shapes your gameplay is the Skill Tree.

Understanding where to invest your points can be overwhelming at first. To help you out, I’ve created a sample Skill Tree you can test, along with some recommended perks to consider when building your Raider.

    ### How to Access and Use the Skill Tree Builder

If you want to try out different skill setups without spending your actual points, I suggest using the Skill Tree webpage at arctracker.io. This tool lets you experiment with a fake Skill Tree by clicking with your mouse—left click to add points and right click to remove them. You can reset everything at any time using the reset button on the page.

Keep in mind, you have 80 total Skill Points to use. Seventy-five come from leveling up your Raider, and the remaining five depend on how much money you had at the end of your last expedition. This website simplifies testing how many points you’ll need to reach your favorite perks.

In the game, you can also reset your Skill Tree at any moment, but the cost increases exponentially the higher your level gets. To do so, go to the Skill Tree screen and press R (keyboard), Y (Xbox), or Triangle (PlayStation).

    ### Skill Tree Perk Recommendations

Many players share their favorite builds online, but the best setup depends on what you want to do—whether you prefer solo play, team battles, or focus on PvP or PvE. Instead of offering a full build, I’ll highlight key perks in each major category that are valuable no matter your playstyle. These perks are useful whether you’re aiming to fight other Raiders or team up to take down the ARC.

    #### Conditioning Perks
In the Conditioning branch, perks like Weight and Loaded Arms are excellent because they reduce the weight of your shields and guns. This makes using rare and epic shields less tough and gives you more space in your inventory to carry extra loot.

Proficient Pryer speeds up your breaching ability, which is helpful at all times. Turtle Crawl is great for staying alive when you’re downed—it’s especially useful in duo or trio matches. Unburdened Roll is also handy, allowing you to quickly roll into cover when your shield breaks, even if you’re out of stamina. This quick escape can be the difference between winning or losing a fight.

    #### Mobility Perks
Early in the game, I highly recommend fully upgrading perks like Marathon Runner, Nimble Climber, and Youthful Lungs. These perks boost your stamina pool and make your stamina last longer. Nimble Climber also improves your climbing and vault speed, helping you move faster across the map. Since stamina is vital in Arc Raiders, these perks are a must.

As you progress, perks such as Vigorous Vaulter and Effortless Roll become valuable, especially if you’re focused on hunting other players. They help you move quickly and dodge enemy shots, giving you an advantage in combat.

    #### Survival Perks
One of the most important perks here is In-Round Crafting, which allows you to craft health items during a fight. This is great for quick recovery in raids or when you’ve used up your supplies.

Another useful perk is Broad Shoulders. When maxed out, it increases your carry capacity by 10 kilograms (about 22 pounds). This extra space is especially beneficial for players who prefer PvE or often run solo, as it lets you carry more gear and loot.

Traveling Tinkerer also helps with crafting utility items on the fly, such as Raider Hatch Keys. This perk is useful if you like getting in and out quickly and want to know exactly where to find items like electrical components or sensors needed for the keys.

These suggestions are just a starting point. Feel free to experiment with different perks to find what best suits your playstyle. For new players, the perks I’ve highlighted here are a solid foundation for a versatile and capable Raider, ready to handle both PvE and PvP challenges.

All Fruit Tree Types and How to Complete and Solve Them in ACNH

Your Animal Crossing: New Horizons island features a randomly generated layout of land, rivers, lakes, and shoreline, and you’ll also get assigned one of five native fruits at the start. If you’re aiming for island perfection, you’ll want to obtain all possible fruits.

No matter which fruit you begin with, it’s possible to find the other four native types, plus an additional fruit variety. Here are all the fruit types and how to acquire them.

    All Fruit Types

    Fruit Description & Images
Apple Grow on apple trees; sold for 400 Bells at Nook’s Cranny; displayed on your passport.
Pear Grows on pear trees; similar sale and display info.

Note: Coconuts are unique—they won’t grow naturally on your island but are available via Mystery Island visits.

How to Get All Fruit Types

While you’ll start with one native fruit, you’ll want to gather the others. To do this, simply dig a hole and bury a fruit of the desired type to grow a new tree. Here are the main ways to collect all different fruits:

    Native Fruit

This is the fruit that naturally grows all over your island. It’s sold at Nook’s Cranny for 400 Bells and shown on your passport.

    Mystery Island Fruit

Another native fruit is designated as a “sister” fruit, appearing on Mystery Island Tours. You can also find coconuts on these islands.

    Mom’s Letter

Shortly after starting the game, your mom will send you a letter with a different native fruit attached.

    Villagers

Villagers may gift you fruit, including ones that aren’t native to your island.

Tip: Giving villagers gifts increases the chance they’ll send you a fruit or other helpful items.

    Other Players

Getting all the fruits may require help from friends or random players:

    • Invite friends to visit your island—they can bring fruits you need.
    • Visit other players’ islands and, with permission, take some of their fruit or fruit trees.

Note: You can only dig up and move other players’ fruit trees if you are Best Friends. Otherwise, you can only shake their trees to collect fruit.

    What Does Fruit Do?

Fruits serve multiple purposes. They can be used in cooking and crafting, or eaten directly to boost your energy. Eating a fruit provides enough energy to break rocks with a shovel or dig up entire trees.

Tip: Digging up and relocating a full fruit tree is a quick way to move it to your island instead of just taking the fruit.

  • Weapon Skill Tree Upgrades in Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive for Completing and Solving

Weapon Skill Tree Upgrades in Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive for Completing and Solving

Focusing on choosing the right class for your playstyle in Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive is essential. As you level up Sung Jinwoo with skill trees, don’t forget that there are also skill trees for your four weapon types, plus options for Sung Jinwoo’s overall physique and stats.

This might seem overwhelming at first, but making smart upgrades in your weapon skill trees can drastically improve your combat results. Prioritize upgrading the weapons you use most, and maximize your strength by investing in the relevant skill trees.

    Weapon Skill Trees Overview

Each weapon type comes with its own skill tree. Early in the game, you’ll get familiar with your class skill tree, but as you pick specific weapons to specialize in, you should focus on investing in those weapon trees. Doing so unlocks more abilities and provides important stat boosts.

Almost all weapon trees have around 12 or 13 unlockable skills, offering various enhancements to your fighting capabilities. While the perks are similar across different weapons, only unlock skills in the trees for the weapons you use frequently. This way, the effects and bonuses apply to your weapons during combat, so keep your gear updated with the best options.

    Additional Skill Trees

Besides the four weapon types, there are two other skill trees to consider. The first is the Physique Skill Tree, which boosts your combat stats and overall strength. The second is the Monarch’s Awakening Skill Tree, which unlocks after chapter five if you choose a specific story path.

All Weapon and Physique Skill Trees

Each weapon has two branches with multiple skills. For example, the Sword Skill Tree includes the Heartsteel and Resistance branches, each containing skills that increase damage, defenses, and other combat stats. Some skills can be purchased multiple times, marked with an asterisk (*), allowing further stacking of bonuses.

The Dagger Skill Tree has branches focused on bleeding effects and back attacks, enhancing damage-over-time abilities. The Bow Skill Tree offers options that increase damage at long range, critical hit rates, and attack power based on agility. Firearms focus on increasing damage, penetration, and attack speed, with bonuses stacking through various skill activations.

The Physique Skill Tree allows upgrades for attack, defense, HP, and critical hit chance. Each perk can often be obtained multiple times, leading to significant physical stat increases.

Summary of Key Skill Tree Details

    • Sword Skill Tree: Split into Heartsteel and Resistance branches; boosts damage, defense, and shield effects.

    • Dagger Skill Tree: Focuses on bleed damage and backstab bonuses, with branches like Lethal Wound and Overshadow.

    • Bow Skill Tree: Includes Focused Aim and Secure Aim, emphasizing damage at various ranges and critical hits.

    • Firearm Skill Tree: Features the Kata and Patience branches, enhancing damage, penetration, and attack stacking.

    • Physique Skill Tree: Offers multiple tiers of attack, defense, and HP increases; perks can be stacked up to three times for maximum effect.

  • Expansion Mission Tree Tips for Europa Universalis 5: Completing and Solving

Expansion Mission Tree Tips for Europa Universalis 5: Completing and Solving

If you want to quickly expand your initial territories in Europa Universalis 5 and build a global empire, you should consider focusing on the Expansion Mission Tree. These goals will help you start claiming new borders and discovering more of the world. Completing these missions involves declaring rivals, going to war, and acquiring new lands, all while boosting your country’s prestige.

There are two main branches in the Expansion Mission Tree:

    1. Humiliate a Rival: This is a straightforward goal if your nation is already strong. It involves declaring war on a smaller rival and ending the conflict with a Humiliation Peace Treaty that damages their prestige. This mission is available anytime after your start and can be completed repeatedly every 20 years. To begin, you need to establish a rival—done through the Diplomacy menu by selecting a country and choosing the Rival option. Then, you must insult that rival within the last ten years by sending an insult from the Diplomacy menu. Doing this will give you a Casus Belli and start the mission.

    2. Regional Expansion: This involves taking land from neighboring countries by declaring war and then making peace to annex their territory. It helps to repair the region afterward, as the area will likely suffer damage during conflict. You can undertake this mission when your country is capable of declaring war and repeat it every 15 years to keep expanding.

Completing the “Humiliate a Rival” mission involves several steps:

    • Have a Rival: Chosen via the Diplomacy menu, then insulted within ten years to be eligible.
    • Build a Spy Network: Establish a spy network of at least 30 in the rival’s territory for intelligence and potentially a Casus Belli.
    • Sow Discontent: If you have a strong spy network and multiple diplomats, you can choose to sow discontent in your rival, creating internal instability.
    • Declare War: With a Casus Belli and an army prepared, declare war on your rival.
    • Win with the Peace Treaty: Achieve a Humiliation Peace Treaty during your war, reducing their prestige significantly and boosting yours.

Your ultimate aim is to Surpass our Foes. To do this, your rival’s military strength must fall to less than half of your country’s total force. After the initial humiliation, keep monitoring your strengths, as some nations might already qualify for this step early, especially if they started weak or with a weaker rival.

Once the “Humiliate a Rival” goal is accomplished, additional objectives include imposing embargos, establishing spy networks, and sowing discontent, which all contribute to the overall mission progress.

For the Regional Expansion branch, you will need to:

    • Raise a War Chest: Gather resources to fund the upcoming conflict.
    • Build Your Army: Ensure you have enough soldiers, either through general recruitment, militia, or navy.
    • Get a Casus Belli: Justify your war, either through parliamentary approval or spying.
    • Build Ships if Coastal: Have a suitable navy to support your expansion.
    • Declare War: When ready, declare war on a neighboring country, which will last at least a year before you can end it with a peace treaty.

After winning the war and making peace:

    • Recover Prosperity: Raise the region’s prosperity above zero.
    • Fortify Borders: Upgrade defenses in the new region.
    • Integrate the Land: Over the next two years, help the region settle, ensuring satisfaction and stability.

In summary, focusing on these expansion goals—humiliating rivals and regional conquest—can significantly boost your country’s prestige and territorial holdings, paving the way for global dominance.

  • Where To Find The Tree’s Eyes In Keeper: Solving The Mystery

Where To Find The Tree’s Eyes In Keeper: Solving The Mystery

Once you decide to defeat the Wither in Keeper for good, your adventure begins as a living lighthouse accompanied by your feathered friend, Twig. Throughout your journey, you’ll solve puzzles and explore beautiful scenery, discovering more about the world and the unlikely friendship forming between you and Twig.

One of your first challenges is a giant tree guardian that appears to be lost or hurt. You need to help it before you can move forward. We’ll explain how to solve the puzzle to progress to the next area and continue your quest with Twig.

Where to Find the Great Tree

After navigating through a cave filled with giant bones, you’ll reach a large, confused tree. To wake it up, you must help it recover its missing eyes. But where are these eyes?

Tip: Even without its eyes, the tree will squint if you shine a focused beam onto its face.

Where to Find the First Orb

Send Twig to place the crystal you found earlier into the tree’s missing eye socket at its head. Peck it into place to get a response from the tree. It lifts its limbs, but you still have work to do. The next step is to find the second eye to fully restore the tree.

Where to Find the Second Orb

Follow the path to the right toward a frozen pond with dancing rock-like creatures. One of these creatures dances alone in the middle of the pond, while two others are on scaffolding around it. Use your focused beam to shine light on each dancer, which will cause them to drop and break the scaffolding, causing them to slide across the ice. When all three are in position, shine your beam again to make them jump simultaneously. This activity shatters the ice and reveals a shiny crystal orb, which Twig will retrieve.

Where to Find the Third Orb

The last orb is along the left path, where several plots of land have vines growing out of them. Use your focused beam to grow a plant into a tree with fruit. Send Twig to shake the fruit, prompting a chicken-like creature to run over and eat it, scattering seeds into a nearby plot. Repeat this process a few times: grow the second tree and get the creature to eat the fruit, then do the same for the final tree, which will drop the last crystal eye. Have Twig retrieve it, return to the tree, and place the final eye in the empty socket.

With all the eyes in place, the tree expresses gratitude by lowering its limbs and lifting off the ground. This act grants you access to the caves below, marking the end of this part of the puzzle.

  • How to Complete the Planetologist Tree in Dune: Awakening

How to Complete the Planetologist Tree in Dune: Awakening

Dune: Awakening features five classes of skills, but you can only access four right away. The fifth class, the Planetologist, requires you to seek out a trainer in the desert to unlock their abilities.

Completing the first quest will grant you basic Planetologist skills. However, to acquire advanced skills, you’ll need to embark on a challenging journey, traveling across the vast world. It may take some time, but in the end, you’ll master all that the Planetologist has to offer.

Finding Imperial Testing Station No. 197

Your first advanced task for the Planetologist involves locating Imperial Testing Station No. 197, situated on the southern side of the Western Vermillius Gap. Upon arrival, drop into the large hole to reach the entrance; Derek will be waiting at the bottom, so be sure to chat with him.

Locating the Minimic Film Records at Station No. 197

After your conversation with Derek, your next step is to retrieve the Minimic Film records found within the station—a task you will become quite accustomed to.

Typically, these records can be concealed behind false walls leading into hidden areas. Once you start tracking the quest, they will appear on your compass, and we’ll guide you to their locations.

At this station, the area that looks like the entrance near Derek is actually the exit. Instead, you should navigate northwest through a wide rock tunnel until you find a doorway marking the true entrance.

You’ll soon encounter a green door. Go through this door and turn left to find the Film record in the adjacent room. Once you’ve collected it, you can return to Derek.

While you can continue exploring the rest of the station, no additional quest-related items are located within.

    Returning to Derek’s Camp

Another frequent stop in this questline is Derek’s camp, which is located just above Imperial Testing Station No. 2 and about half a kilometer from Griffin’s Reach. After reaching the camp, talk to Derek, and he will ask you to head to Arakeen.

    Flying to Arakeen

If you don’t possess your own Ornithopter, you can still fly to Arakeen or Harko Village for a fee of 2,500 Solari each time. For this guide, we’ll use Griffin’s Reach as it is nearby, but any Ornithopter pilot can assist you.

    Finding Cyprian in Arakeen

Upon landing in Arakeen, climb the stairs and take an immediate right into the Salusan Bull. Go up two more sets of stairs and head to the back-right corner of the bar. Cyprian will be seated under an umbrella with a bodyguard nearby.

Once you’ve spoken with him, return to Derek’s camp to share your findings.

Finding Imperial Testing Station No. 76

Your next destination is Imperial Testing Station No. 76, located in the central part of the Jabal Eifrit Al-janub region.

Using a Survey Launcher and a probe can help you locate points of interest once you’re in the right general area.

Finding the Planetologist Inside Station No. 76

This time, you’ll find Derek inside the entrance, down the first set of stairs and in a cage between two doors. Be on the lookout for his unique glowglobe, which will help you spot him.

Locating the Minimic Film Records in Station No. 76

As you explore, you’ll navigate through several rooms. Eventually, you’ll discover a space with glass windows on the left side. Climb the staircase to reach this room and head towards the false wall in the back-right corner to find the Minimic Film Records.

The room immediately after this one is the exit, and it has no enemies, so you can head straight out.

You’ll also need to collect the keys to Derek’s cage, which are found in the first room after Derek, covered in plants. Afterward, it’s time to return to Derek’s camp.

    Finding Thufir Hawat

When you get back to camp, Derek will ask you to visit Thufir Hawat, a Mentat located in Arakeen. Fly back there and head to the far side of the location where the pilot drops you off, to find the area without a roof.

    Finding Sietch Tarl

Your next task is to locate Sietch Tarl before returning to Derek. You can find it on the border of the northern O’odham and the Western Shield Wall. There’s a noticeable gap in the rocks, and a map marker will lead you right to it.

Go inside this crevice, read the note located there, and then go back to Derek at camp.

Finding Imperial Testing Station No. 29

Next, head to Imperial Testing Station No. 29, located in the Hagga Rift, just northwest of Testing Station No. 23.

There’s a steep drop into this area—with no staircase like the previous station.

Meet Derek at this location, and once again, retrieve the Minimic Film record.

This Film record is adjacent to the final room of the station, meaning you’ll need to clear out the entire area.

Finding Imperial Testing Station No. 71

Your next stop is Imperial Testing Station No. 71, located west from the last one. Here, you will search for more Minimic Film records and another note.

These records are located relatively early in this station; stay to the left, and you will come to a branching path. The route on the left leads to the Minimic Film, beyond another similar door.

The other item you’ll need is found in the final room, where you will face multiple melee and heavy enemies. There are smaller rooms connected to this space, and one contains the note you need.

    Back to Camp

After gathering everything, return to camp to speak with Derek one last time. He will share his final secrets of Planetologist knowledge with you, and you will have the chance to spend your skill points to unlock any skills you desire.

  • Completing the Mysteries of the Witch Tree

Completing the Mysteries of the Witch Tree

If you’re taking on the role of a magic user in Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree, you likely know the frustration of running low on mana during challenging battles. Fortunately, there’s a straightforward fix. Simply recruit the Alchemist, Alannah, to your camp at the Witch Tree.

This will grant you access to more powerful potions, keeping your health and mana replenished for the upcoming challenges. Plus, these potions are far more affordable than the expensive vials sold in Wickham Marketplace! In this guide, we’ll show you how to locate Alchemist Alannah, the hurdles you might encounter along the way, and even provide tips on defeating the Fang Executioner.

    Finding Alchemist Alannah

To locate Alchemist Alannah, you first need to complete Guard Commander Clayborne’s quest to unlock the West Gate. Then, defeat the Fang Executioner to obtain the West Wickham Key. After that, navigate through Gloomroot Woods to rescue her from the surrounding dangers.

This task is easier said than done, especially with a mini-boss in your path. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you find Alannah in Mandragora.

Unlocking the Ruins of the West Wickham Witch StonesA player approaches the Ruins of the West Wickham Witch Stone in Mandragora.

Start at the Wickham Marketplace Witch Stone and head left. Once you pass through the West Gate, defeat any enemies that appear and keep advancing. Soon, you’ll encounter a gate blocked by red tree roots. Destroy this root to clear your path.

Continue until you reach a glowing sewer entrance near the Ruins of the West Wickham Witch Stone. You may also see a locked gate nearby, but it will remain sealed for now. For the moment, jump into the glowing hole.

Upon descending, turn left and defeat the slimes. Jump across the gap, then fight through tentacles, rats, and more slimes. At the end of the sewer, you’ll find a green Diagram for the Shattered Flamecore. Next to it, there’s a door. Open it and proceed inside.

You’ll immediately encounter a rat and a Gremlin. Defeat them, then climb the wall to reach the ledge. Watch out, as another Gremlin is waiting for you.

Ascend to the next level and push the box to enable easier access to the higher ledge later. Before you do that, head right to find an elevator. Ride it down, move to the right, and destroy the red tree root blocking the gate.

Open it to unlock a shortcut to the Fang Executioner starting from the Ruins of West Wickham Witch Stone.

Now, return and climb the box. Jump onto the ledge to reach the final floor. Defeat the Gremlin guarding the blue chest and loot it.

Once you’re prepared, jump down, go right, and pass through the gate. The Fang Executioner awaits you.

Defeating the Fang ExecutionerThe Fang Executioner in Mandragora points his daggers at the player.

The Fang Executioner can be a tough opponent, especially when he summons a clone once his health drops below 50 percent. Defeating him grants you the West Wickham Key and the Sanguine Kiss weapon. Here’s a breakdown of the Fang Executioner’s abilities and how to counter them:

    Ability

    Description

    How To Counter

    Leap and Ground Slam

The Fang Executioner leaps into the air and slams his daggers down, causing damage on impact. When his HP drops below 50%, he and his shadow pull their daggers out, sending shockwaves outward.

Roll to the side to dodge this attack; you can deal damage while his daggers remain stuck in the ground. When his HP drops below 50%, jump to avoid the shockwaves when he pulls the daggers out.

    Blood Puddle

The Fang Executioner transforms into a blood puddle that follows you. If you remain stationary, he’ll jump out, dealing damage.

Stay put until the blood puddle stops, then roll at the last moment to evade damage.

    Blade Launch

The Fang Executioner crosses his arms and throws a dagger in a straight line.

    Crouch or roll to dodge.

    Charged Swing

The Fang Executioner charges his daggers and swings them around.

    Get out of his range.

    Rising Cut and Slam

The Fang Executioner performs an uppercut with his dagger, then slams both daggers into the ground.

    Roll to evade.

    Blood Clone

When his HP dips below 50%, the Fang Executioner using Blood Puddle leaves a bloody clone behind. This clone mimics his attacks after a brief pause.

Position yourself near the clone so that when he returns, both will be in the same area. This tactic gives you more room to move and helps avoid taking damage from overlapping attacks.

Alannah the Alchemist’s Location in Gloomroot WoodsThe player approaches Alannah, who is gathering herbs in Mandragora.

After defeating the Fang Executioner, head right and cross the broken bridge to reach a different building. Collect the Mandrake. There’s a lever nearby that lowers a ladder. Pull it and go down.

You’ll arrive on a floor with a locked door on the left. Behind it, there’s a green Diagram. To get it, return to the broken bridge, drop down, and interact with the green orb to receive the Diagram: Royal Sceptre. Then, drop down to the last floor to find a door leading back into the building.

Now, in the building, defeat the Gremlins and loot the area. Once you get to the lowest floor, move left and open the door to return to the sewer. Roll to avoid the thorny root above.

You’ll find a ladder with a glowing yellow light. Climb that ladder to re-enter the sewer entrance near the Ruins of the West Wickham Witch Stone.

Pass the elevator shortcut, defeat the reckless enemy rushing towards you, then approach the locked wooden door. Open it with the West Wickham Key, which you obtained from the Fang Executioner.

You’ll encounter two hooded enemies. Focus on taking down the one on the higher platform first, as he can heal both himself and the other one. Move left toward the glowing light, and you’ll arrive in Gloomroot Woods.

Navigate across the platforms and defeat the poison-spitting flower. You’ll notice two paths: one leads up and the other down. If you opt to go down, a Forest Giant awaits for battle. However, since your goal is Alannah, take the upward path.

Climb the ledges, dodge the thorny roots, and take out the enemies along the way. Eventually, you’ll come across the Diagram: Cornucopia. Drop down, head right, and you’ll locate a hooded girl in green collecting herbs.

As you approach her, four poison-spitting plants will emerge. These can be easily defeated, so don’t fret. After clearing the area, two stronger carnivorous flowers will attack. Defeat them, then talk to Alannah and invite her to your camp.

Be sure to climb the ledge on the right and gather the Naceaia. When you return it to Alannah at the Witch Tree, she’ll enhance the effectiveness of your Health Flask.

Alannah offers a range of potions and reagents, enabling you to craft stronger potions at a much lower cost compared to the Wickham Marketplace. Moreover, upgrading Alannah’s location at the Witch Tree will provide you discounts on her items as well!

  • Completing the Mysteries of the Witch Tree

Completing the Mysteries of the Witch Tree

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree poses a significant challenge, even for seasoned players of the metroidvania genre. The strategy of enemy placement and engagement echoes more of what you’d find in a Dark Souls game than the classic encounters faced by Alucard and the Belmonts. Careful planning and strategic use of the game’s systems will be key to overcoming these foes.

Maximizing the mechanics of leveling up, utilizing equippable skills, and honing your crafting abilities will empower you to navigate the dark forces more effectively than simply charging in with a sword.

    Adjust Accessibility Settings

You should immediately tweak two options from the default settings: quest tracking and quick buy features. These adjustments can save you from repetitive inputs while shopping and help you manage side quests without getting distracted by new ones that you pick up along the way.

Don’t forget that you’ll frequently visit shops if you tend not to revisit low-level areas for materials, and many quests will be given to you before you’ve gained the mobility tools required to complete them.

    Tip: Privacy Concerns
Some players have expressed concerns regarding data collection by the game. If this is an issue for you, make sure to spend extra time reviewing the privacy settings and opt out wherever you can.

    Recruit Gerald and Alannah Early

One of the initial side quests you can undertake involves recruiting the mapmaker Gerald to your camp. Having him onboard simplifies navigation and backtracking since you won’t have to mark everything yourself.

While Gerald can handle a lot, there are specific elements you might still want to mark on your map, like one-way passages and paths that require special movement capabilities.

Another valuable ally to recruit early is Alannah the alchemist, located west of Wickham after defeating the Fanghunt Executioner. Although she’s somewhat off the main path, getting her into your camp sooner allows you to start duplicating ingredients using her garden.

    Buff Before Boss Fights

The game provides a steady supply of consumables. Always remember to use weapon and armor buffs before entering new areas, particularly boss arenas. Most buffs last long enough to carry you through multiple encounters.

    • Weapon coatings will only deplete after a set number of attacks, which means they can be wasted only if you happen to fall off a ledge.
    • Armor packs absorb a limited amount of hits—this is especially effective for builds that can only use lighter gear.
    • Stronger potions have effects lasting under 30 seconds, so they should be utilized during fights for maximum benefit.
    • Certain foods can last for the entire exploration of an area and may provide slowly acting effects, such as healing when out of combat.

If you’re low on supplies, you might consider entering boss fights without buffs a couple of times—this way, you can learn their attack patterns without incurring extra costs.

    Tip: Exiting Boss Fights
If you find yourself in a boss fight you’re not prepared for, you can return to your last Witch Stone by exiting to the main menu. This trick works even when fast travel is disabled and can prevent you from losing valuable resources.

Falling is a Leading Cause of Death

When you enter your camp at the Witch Tree, you can view game statistics, including your most frequent cause of death. For many players, this tends to be falling or getting caught in traps, especially if you dash back recklessly after a previous death. Taking a moment to ensure proper navigation around pitfalls can save you from embarrassment.

Be mindful of which traps can eliminate you instantly and which merely deal damage:

    • Giant swinging axes are a guaranteed death, but you can sprint beneath them—just be prepared for a few mishaps while learning the timing.
    • Fall damage can be tricky to gauge, so if you can’t see the ground beneath you, it’s best to assume you’ll die.
    • Spike pits are instant kill zones and can easily catch you off guard during combat.
    • Ground spikes will respawn you at the last stable area, but the animation will show your health at zero.
    • Arrow traps only deal damage, so they can be sprinted through if you are determined.
    • Floating eyeballs might not be actual traps but can act as such; use ranged attacks to dispose of them.

    Tip: Checking for Safe Falls
If you’re unsure whether a drop will lead to instant death or simply an unexplored area, consult your map in the pause menu. Look for ledges to grab onto as a positive sign.

Don’t Stick to Your Starting Class

Your starting class gives you a solid foundation in stats, equipment, and abilities. Remember, it’s not a strict commitment to one playstyle—especially given the generous respec options available.

Each talent tree connects to two others, allowing you to mix and match skills. Many classes have abilities that complement those of nearby trees. Although you cannot cast spells from a second tree until reaching level 25, you can still focus on building towards them and planning your skill sets in advance.

Most multiclass builds tend not to cast spells across several types due to limited equipment slots for spell focuses. It’s worth keeping in mind that even the most magic-oriented characters must engage in melee combat and acquire some sword skills, while martial classes can benefit from passive abilities found in magic trees.

    Note: Spells and Focus
You need a focus that matches your class to cast spells, but passive bonuses from the talent tree can still benefit you.

Jumping is an Alternative to Dodge Rolling

Basic jumps do not cost stamina and can be just as effective as a conventional dodge against certain attacks. Additionally, jumping can be seamlessly combined with your attacks if you have spare stamina. Different attacks feature distinct visual cues, indicating whether you should dodge or leap over them.

    Warning: Jumping Limitations
Keep in mind that jumping provides minimal horizontal displacement and lacks invincibility frames. If you’re facing attacks with considerable vertical reach, rolling is the better option.

Once you learn the attack patterns of your foes, you’ll find it easier to avoid damage without relying on blocking or rolling.

    Tactical Enemies Require Smart Engagement

Certain enemies employ tactics that can disrupt your typical combat strategies. For instance:

    • Enemies with shields may wait for you to strike, countering after blocking. Attacking them directly leaves you vulnerable; instead, you can maneuver behind them to handle other threats.
    • Ranged attackers may sit behind clusters of melee enemies, making it easy to get hit while distracted. You can lure melee fighters away or rush through to target the ranged attacker directly.
    • Some bosses, like the Fanghunt Executioner, have attacks that will only trigger if you provide an opening. Reckless dodging can leave you fatigued just as they strike.
    • When ambushed by enemies coming from both sides, prioritize breaking out of the encirclement. You can more effectively engage multiple foes if they’re positioned in front of you.

    Focus on Health and Stamina

Survival is critical in any game, and Mandragora is no exception. While martial classes start with higher hit points, all character types benefit from increasing their health.

Stamina is crucial, even if you aren’t actively using it for attacks, since it’s essential for dodging and does not recharge while casting spells. Always ensure you have enough stamina left to retreat after casting powerful spells.

Even equipment load matters for every character. Keep an eye out for vigor slots on your talent tree or adaptable slots that can switch to vigor. Strength-based builds obtain carry weight through their main attack stat, allowing them to use heavier gear.

    Tip: Talent Tree Opportunities
Seek out abilities within the talent tree that scale with your maximum health. Several features can revive you or negate damage based on your overall health.

Avoid Grinding in the Same Spot

Grinding serves as a way to accumulate strength by collecting money, essence, and crafting materials. To make it most effective, don’t rely on the same spot repetitively. This way, you can gather resource nodes and complete bounty quests simultaneously.

This strategy ensures you gather a diverse array of materials rather than just a limited selection found in one location. Common materials like metal ores and simple fabrics can deplete quickly, as they’re needed for crafting and upgrading equipment.

    Note: Quest Options
At various points, you’ll face several options to pursue aside from the main quest, some of which may require a higher level than you possess at first. If you’re looking to recruit Alannah early, prepare for tougher encounters than those in less challenging areas available to you before gaining mobility upgrades.
