How to Complete the Citadel Level in Tides of Tomorrow Using Solving Techniques

During the second act of Tides of Tomorrow, one key moment involves traveling to the Citadel to meet Voot. Before this, you already know she is the one producing Ozen and supplying Obin. Your goal is to gather more information about the overall situation, particularly the current shortage of the vital product. When you arrive at the Citadel, you learn more than just about Ozen; you discover new details about Voot and her people, making this part of the journey especially interesting. Here’s a complete walkthrough of that section.

    Entering the Citadel

Once you arrive on the island, you’ll find some people at the dock. One of them, a man with long hair, might have Ozen to sell. But for the main story, you need to take the elevator. After riding up, you’ll see some scrap to collect and a few people to talk to, but the true objective is on the opposite side of where you step out of the elevator.

As you explore the upper level, you notice two guards blocking your way. Use your vision to learn the password and tell the guards you know it. However, there’s a catch: the last Tidewalker had the power to change the password for some Ozen. This means the password might not be what you expect.

From your vision, you can tell what they might have changed it to, but you’re not sure if they actually did. The options are likely “Coral” or “Mereids.” If you’ve been paying attention to the Tidewalker’s personality, choosing the correct one will be easier. If not, you’ll have to guess. Getting it right grants you free entry; if you fail, you’ll need to donate some scrap. After the choice, the guards ask if you want to change the password to trick the next Tidewalker. Agreeing to this earns you some Ozen and Troublemaker points, while refusing grants a boost to your Cooperative trait.

Beyond the guards, pass through a wide open room. Head to the right side to find an opening and pass through it. On the other side, you’ll see a door with an optional interaction. Proceed to the stairs and go up to reach a lecture hall. At the top, you’ll find a large metal door guarded by a soldier—go through it to locate Efod.

Inside, you see Efod at a table, with a vision of a dispute between Efod and Nahe, revealing how the last Tidewalker handled conflicts. Talk to Efod briefly before Nahe interrupts. To avoid escalating the argument, you can ask, “Should I… go?” and choose ‘(Stay out of it).’ Nahe then departs, and Efod reacts to your choices, leading you out of the room and toward Voot.

    Meeting Voot

After Efod guides you out, you’ll find yourself waking up in a mysterious chamber. Leave the room to find Nahe outside; speak briefly with her before heading to meet Voot. Take the small elevator down and walk past the guards to reach her.

At the top of the hall, you’ll encounter a large metal door. Go through it to meet Voot. She will ask you to take a relic from a table behind her. When you do, she instructs you to pick one of three Altars to place the relic:

    • Altar of Nature — Promises to protect animals and the environment. Boosts your Pro-Nature trait.
    • Altar of Self — Focuses on personal survival and welfare. Boosts your Survivalist trait.
    • Altar of Mankind — Commits to saving humanity first. Boosts your Pro-Mankind trait.
    • Holy Water Pool — Next to the Altar of Self, there’s a small pool. Dropping the relic here grants Troublemaker points.

Once you’ve made your choice, Voot asks you to guess what the last Tidewalker did with the relic. You can use your vision to find clues or simply guess “Mereids” or “Coral.” Correct or not, it doesn’t impact the outcome significantly. Afterward, she offers an opportunity to leave a message by performing the ‘Show Direction’ emote, pointing at your chosen altar to give a hint for future interactions.

    Meeting the Divinity

Next, you wake up in a strange room with Nahe outside. Talk with her briefly before you proceed. Descend the elevator, pass the guards, and meet up with Voot once more. Inside, a profound scene unfolds: you engage in a conversation with the Divinity. While this interaction is important to the story, your dialogue choices don’t influence the outcome. Choose your preferred options, then finish with brief talks with Efod and Nahe to conclude the level.

  • How To Finish Pleasureland in Tides Of Tomorrow

How To Finish Pleasureland in Tides Of Tomorrow

In Tides of Tomorrow, one of the first places you’ll visit is called Pleasureland. Since many areas in this game are dangerous and filled with sick and dying people, you might be wary of a place with “pleasure” in the name. However, Pleasureland is relatively more lively and upbeat than other locations.

The area features plenty of music and dancing. The main highlight is a big speedboat race, which you will participate in. You’re encouraged to join by a key character named Nyx, whom you meet for the first time here. Here’s a complete guide to navigating this location.

    How to Enter Pleasureland

To get to a spot where you can dock, you need to first go through the converted Ferris Wheel. This ride elevates you up to the dock area.

At the front gate, you’ll find a guard. Approach her and ask about Nyx. This will tell you if the previous Tidewalker who visited made an impression. If that Tidewalker gained fame, the guard will allow you in. If not, you’ll need to pay some scrap to get through. Alternatively, you can find a grate nearby on the side of the gate to enter for free.

    Meeting Nyx

Once inside, you’ll see Nyx with some people around. Your next step is to meet her directly.

If the Last Tidewalker Became Famous

Go to the main stage, which is near the large speakers in the first area. Nyx will arrive on stage and call you up to speak. During your conversation, she’ll persuade you to race in a competition where you bet on beating the previous Tidewalker’s time.

If the Last Tidewalker Wasn’t Famous

Head toward the Ferris Wheel. If the last visitor didn’t leave a lasting memory, you’ll need to pay a woman near the wheel to get the big guy out of the way so you can reach the ride. Ride to the top and then use the zipline to glide into the next area.

    Advancing Through Pleasureland

After arriving at the top of the Ferris Wheel, follow the path straight ahead to find a prominent Panorama Bar sign. Walk behind the bar to locate Nyx waiting there.

From the Panorama Bar, proceed down the street to find the neon sign once again. Head to the back of the bar where Nyx is waiting.

    Getting to the Paddocks

Follow her until she sits with Obin’s men at the paddocks. When she does, turn around and go underneath the “Paddocks” sign to continue.

Reaching Taj and Starting the Race

Keep walking until you see Taj working on your vehicle. Talk to him and get ready to race. Ensure your speedboat is prepared, then head to the starting point at the race area. Your goal is to finish in the top three and beat the previous Tidewalker’s time.

The race is straightforward: go as fast as you can, avoid obstacles, and stay under the illuminated domes, which give you speed boosts.

    • Finishing in the top three awards you some Ozen and boosts your reputation with future Tidewalkers visiting Pleasureland.
    • Beating the previous Tidewalker’s record wins you the bet you made earlier.

    After the Race

Once the race ends, you’ll have a conversation with Nyx where she comments on your performance and may give you some Ozen. Use an elevator back to the Panorama Bar where Nyx is.

Sit across from her to chat about your race. She’ll share her thoughts and sometimes give you additional Ozen. Afterward, you’re free to leave Pleasureland aboard your boat, ready to move on to the next part of your adventure.

  • How To Complete the Wrecklandia Level in Tides Of Tomorrow Using Solving

How To Complete the Wrecklandia Level in Tides Of Tomorrow Using Solving

After finishing Kelpie’s Playground in Tides of Tomorrow, you gain access to Wrecklandia. This area is controlled by Obin, who isn’t exactly trustworthy, so don’t expect it to be a friendly place. Here, Mermaids are brought to be killed and sold as food. Since Eyla’s Mermaid friend, Kelpie, has been taken there, it’s a serious concern.

Your goal is to save Kelpie. However, because this game has two possible versions, there’s a different focus for each one. One version has you trying to rescue Kelpie, and the other has you figuring out what happened to her. This guide covers both paths.

    How to Enter Wrecklandia

As you approach the gate, a guard blocks your way. To get inside, you must win a game of “Paper, Scissors, Stone” against him. The game works like Rock, Paper, Scissors, but you can see what the guard is about to play. Use your vision to guess his move and pick the opposite to win. Here’s what to do:

    • If he chooses Rock—use Paper
    • If he chooses Paper—use Scissors
    • If he chooses Scissors—use Rock

Win the game to gain entry to Wrecklandia.

    Find Obin or Eyla

Once inside, depending on your game scenario, you will meet either Obin or Eyla on the right side of the platform outside the Markets. You’ll talk to them as you enter the Fish Market. The conversation varies based on your path, but the core interaction is similar.

How to Get Inside the Slaughterhouse

After entering the Fish Market, you’ll be told to get into the Slaughterhouse. If you’re with Eyla, she will lead you to the door. If you’re with Obin, you can find the door yourself—it’s on the opposite wall from the entrance, but it will be locked. You need to find a key for it.

    Finding the Key

The key is held by Ben, who is inside the Fish Market, on the wall opposite the Slaughterhouse door. You can spot him using your vision, as he will have spoken to the other Tidewalker. When you ask about the key, Ben will tell you that you need a password. If you’re with Obin, just ask him for it. If not, use your vision to hear the last password Obin gave to the previous Tidewalker.

Tell Ben the password to get the key. Once you have it, you can open the door and continue.

    Sneaking Through the Slaughterhouse

Even if you work for Obin, sneaking through is necessary. Enter the Slaughterhouse and approach the green dumpster. If Eyla is with you, talk to her. If she’s missing, use your vision to see what she’s saying.

You need to drop a fish from the ceiling. To do this, head to the right, moving between two conveyor belts. There’s a guard watching, but his view is periodically blocked by passing boxes, which you can hide behind to sneak past. Use one of the boxes as cover or crouch between two to stay hidden.

Next, go to the ladder by crawling under the conveyor belt. Climb up to reach another conveyor belt. From there, jump onto the boxes and ride them until you see an opening on the left side of the catwalk. Jump over to it, walking across the unstable platform. Use your vision to follow the path the other Tidewalker took to avoid falling.

Once on the main catwalk at the top, cross the shaky platform by following the footsteps of the other Tidewalker, using your vision to guide you safely across.

Proceed to sabotage the machine with the yellow cable at the far end. Cutting the cable causes fish to drop, creating a diversion. After that, climb down and leave through the nearest door.

    The Mereid Pen

The next room is the Mereid Pen. If working with Obin, your main focus is using your vision to see what happened to Eyla and the other Tidewalker. After inspecting, you’ll leave through a door in the other section of the pen to find Eyla being grabbed by a guard.

If you’re playing the other way, you’ll talk to Eyla and watch Kelpie get seized. Run into the other part of the room with Eyla, then go to the yellow button located on the far right. After some time, she will move to the closer button, and you can inspect your own.

    Surrender or Free Kelpie

When you press the button, a guard will threaten Eyla, warning her that she will be thrown into the water if you don’t step back. Eyla wants you to ignore him and free Kelpie instead. You’re given two choices:

    • Surrender: Kelpie is sacrificed, and Eyla stays safe. You both leave, but Kelpie remains underwater later in the story, and Eyla is upset.
    • Free Kelpie: Kelpie escapes, but Eyla is pushed into the water. You jump in after her, saving her but worsening her Plastemia.

Afterward, you’ll have a brief chat with Eyla before heading back to your boat to finish the level.

    Conversation with Obin

If you chose to work with Obin, there’s a final scene where he questions Eyla about Kelpie’s release. You can tell him what you know and then choose one of two options:

    • She’s Guilty: You accuse Eyla of releasing Kelpie. Obin rewards you with some Ozen. Eyla is upset and thrown into the water, worsening her condition. You leave the area afterward.
    • She’s Innocent: You defend Eyla. Obin pushes you into the water, then you have a brief discussion with Eyla before heading to your boat and departing.

This covers all the main steps of entering Wrecklandia, sneaking through the Slaughterhouse, managing Kelpie’s fate, and concluding the story based on your choices.

  • How To Solve the Kelpie Playground Location in Tides of Tomorrow

How To Solve the Kelpie Playground Location in Tides of Tomorrow

While each player’s experience with Tides of Tomorrow may vary, everyone will have the opportunity to visit Kelpie’s Playground. Usually, you aren’t explicitly guided there; instead, it appears as a travel destination during Act Two without any prior notification.

Despite this, Kelpie’s Playground plays a key role in your journey, as it allows you to travel to Wrecklandia afterwards. Before heading there, you must complete the Kelpie location, which involves teaming up with an important character and meeting their unusual friend. Here’s how to do it.

    ### Arrive at the Location

When you arrive, you’ll be stopped by a creature and a yellow submarine. Inside the sub, you can see Eyla banging on the glass and yelling, but you can’t hear her. Eventually, she recognizes you and invites you to board her sub. To start a proper conversation, drive your boat close enough to Eyla so you can understand her words.

During the chat, she will ask if she can come aboard your ship. You should agree, but keep in mind that more than just her will board your vessel.

    ### Meet Kelpie

In the next scene, both Eyla and her Merid friend Kelpie will be on your ship. Eyla will introduce you to Kelpie, and you’ll have three response options:

    – “It looks cute” — increases your Pro-Nature points.
    – “It looks dangerous” — increases your Survivalist points.
    – “It looks tasty” — increases your Troublemaker points.

The conversation continues until Kelpie goes back into the water.

    ### Follow and Feed Kelpie

After Kelpie swims away, you must follow her. She’s identifiable by her fin sticking out above the water. Just follow that fin to keep pace. She leads you to a docked area with a platform and a crane holding a net filled with food.

On the left side of the platform, you’ll find lockers to search and scrap to gather. Be sure to do this before leaving. Then, climb the platform to pull a lever which releases the food for Kelpie. Pet her afterward to earn the My Friend’s Friend Is My Friend achievement or trophy, which also boosts your Pro-Nature points. Afterward, head back to your boat.

    ### Destroy Debris and Follow Kelpie to the Old Turbine

Kelpie will lead you through an area covered with debris. You need to shoot your way through these obstructions. Once cleared, follow Kelpie again, as she heads toward the next set of debris that requires shooting through.

Eventually, you’ll reach an area with an old turbine. Once you’ve cleared more debris, arrive at another docking point. Once on land, Eyla will ask you to approach the old turbine.

    ### Proceed to the Orange Container and Find the Duck

From where you disembark, head left and follow the winding path around. You’ll go through an orange container, and after exiting, turn left and climb the blue containers to take the longer route. Along this path, you’ll find plenty of scrap and uncover a blue container that contains a duck collectible.

    ### Explore Eyla’s Old Place

After obtaining the duck, continue forward and drop down into a ruined area, which is Eyla’s former residence. You’ll see her destroyed apartment, then proceed to the spot with the bed—her old place.

    ### Speak with Eyla

Next, you’ll speak with Eyla, sitting above the water. Sit beside her and listen to her story. During your discussion, you can choose a line that influences your reputation:

    – “You don’t hate Kass” — boosts Pro-Mankind points.
    – “Come on. Kelpie’s counting on us” — boosts Pro-Nature points.
    – “Yeah, but their seafood buffet is delicious” — boosts Troublemaker points.

Most dialogue options here don’t affect the story significantly; simply let the conversation unfold to complete this section of Kelpie’s Playground.

  • How Other Players Completing and Solving Impact Your Gameplay in Tides of Tomorrow

How Other Players Completing and Solving Impact Your Gameplay in Tides of Tomorrow

If you’re a long-time gamer, you’ve probably played many choice-based games like Tides Of Tomorrow. In some of these games, your decisions don’t affect the story much, while in others, they can change the ending completely. However, this game stands out because of one key feature.

This difference comes from its online story-linking system. With this feature, you select a previous player to follow to a specific island. Not only do your choices influence what happens to you, but the choices made by the player you’re following also affect your game’s outcome. It’s important to understand how this works.

    How Online Story-Linking Works

When you start a new game in Tides Of Tomorrow, after choosing your character, you also select a player to follow. Once you’ve picked them, you’ll see their avatar swimming ahead of you. From the very beginning, their decisions will shape what you experience.

For instance, if the player you’re following took a bottle of Ozen from Nahe, you won’t have the chance to take it yourself. Conversely, if they didn’t take it, the next player following you might have the chance. Throughout your journey, you’ll encounter similar situations where the previous player’s choices influence your options.

You can change the player you’re following after every story segment—whenever you leave an island.

Aside from influencing choices, the Tidewalker (the previous player) also helps you navigate puzzles. When you’re on an island, you can activate your special sight to see visions of the Tidewalker’s past actions. There are two types of visions:

    • Yellow visions: These show the main story, like the Tidewalker’s interactions with characters or solutions to puzzles.
    • Purple visions: These reveal the Tidewalker’s path, helping you avoid getting lost. They also show their emotes, or gestures, at various points.

In addition, you might come across “glitched” visions, which display the outcomes of certain choices. These help you decide what to do by providing insight into different options.

How to Choose Your Story-Link Partner

After each story segment, you get to choose a new player to follow. This decision is very important because it can influence your entire run or even end it prematurely if you select unwisely. When you pick your next destination, you’ll see the person you’ll be following at the bottom of the screen.

You can change your follower by pressing a button. On the selection screen, you’ll also see what items are in the yellow chest at that destination if you follow that person. It’s usually best to choose someone who left both Ozen and scrap, especially prioritizing Ozen, since it’s more crucial.

In the late parts of the story, finding a run with Ozen available in the chest can be quite challenging.

If you have multiple options with Ozen and scrap, you might want to choose a Tidewalker partner whose traits match your goal. For example, if you’re aiming for a run that favors humanity, choosing someone with similar traits could make your journey easier.

  • Where to Find Scrap in Tides of Tomorrow and Completing Challenges

Where to Find Scrap in Tides of Tomorrow and Completing Challenges

Although Tides of Tomorrow is mostly straightforward when exploring, you’ll still need to talk to many non-player characters (NPCs). Since the game takes place after a disaster, regular money has no value here. Instead, most transactions involve scrap, an item you can find all over the islands.

Having enough scrap is crucial for survival, as you’ll need it to trade and get other resources like ozen. Because scrap tends to accumulate slowly, it’s important to keep collecting it regularly.

    Best Ways to Collect Scrap

    Explore Every Corner
While wandering through different areas, look carefully in secluded spots that lead to dead ends. These hidden places often contain piles of scrap or trash cans filled with scrap. Each time, you’ll typically find between 1 and 10 scrap, but collecting these small amounts adds up quickly and forms your main scrap source.

    Collect Scrap from Water Piles
When traveling by boat, watch for shiny yellow-glowing patches on the water—they’re scrap piles. You can run over these to gather scrap swiftly. Sometimes, these piles are hidden behind narrow pathways or behind obstacles, so stay alert when cruising.

    Search for Chests
After exploring a few islands, you’ll come across chests located at specific spots. These chests may contain scrap or ozen, provided the player you follow hasn’t already taken them. You can tell what’s inside by checking the bottom of your screen when selecting a character. Chests are a quick way to get a large amount of scrap when you’re running low.

    Where to Use Scrap

The primary purpose of scrap is to purchase ozen from vendors. In the early stages of the game, ozen is quite cheap. However, in later stages, it can cost between 80 and 100 scrap per bottle. It’s wise to save enough scrap to buy at least two bottles, as most players use ozen found in chests during the late game.

You can also deposit scrap into a merchant’s scrap pot, which reduces the cost for the next player who wants to buy ozen by offering a discount.

Knowing when and where to spend your scrap is key, especially since in the early game, you might find yourself with hundreds of scrap but no immediate use for it. Save your resources for important purchases, like ozen, and don’t waste them recklessly.

  • All Traits and How to Get Them in Tides of Tomorrow: Completing and Solving

All Traits and How to Get Them in Tides of Tomorrow: Completing and Solving

There have been many popular choice-based games over the years, but Tides of Tomorrow stands out because it adds a new twist. In this game, your decisions are influenced by choices made by a previous player you choose to follow. These previous choices can alter the outcome of certain story parts, making each playthrough unique.

Aside from the decisions of other players, your own choices also shape the story significantly. When you make decisions, you also have the opportunity to boost one of five traits in the game. Over time, these traits reflect the style of your gameplay and can even unlock special benefits.

How Traits Work in Tides of Tomorrow

Once you start a new game and decide which player to follow, you’ll see the five traits displayed on the main menu. At the beginning, these traits have no points, but they gradually grow as you make choices during your run.

The two traits with the highest points are shown separately at the top. These are the traits that will be visible when another player picks your game to start their own run. When selecting a player to follow, you can also view their top two traits.

Note: The traits shown don’t always tell the whole story about that player’s decisions in specific locations. For example, you might choose to follow a character who generally supports humanity but end up with them making questionable decisions in some situations.

Each trait’s progress is shown on a bar divided into three sections. Moving across these sections adds points to the trait. When the entire bar fills up, you become a master of that trait and earn a special title, like “Savior of Mankind” or “Master of Survival.”

Besides being displayed on your profile, traits grant access to exclusive dialogues, especially in the later parts of the story. While you can succeed without these dialogues, having them can boost your reputation and make achieving some goals easier.

Tip: Near the end of the story, having high levels in certain traits can unlock special interactions, enhancing your overall experience.

All Traits and How to Increase Them

Now that you understand how traits influence gameplay, it’s helpful to learn what each one means and how to grow them. Each trait requires different strategies, so here’s what you should know:

Trait Description Main Method to Increase
Pro-Mankind Focuses on decisions favoring human survival against plastemia. Make choices that help humanity throughout your adventure.
Pro-Nature Represents a desire to protect nature, especially Mereids and Ozen plants. Choose options that save or protect nature, like freeing the Matriarch.
Cooperative Shows how much you assist other Tidewalkers who come after you. Donate ozen and scraps from chests when possible. Stack rocks on rock piles.
Survivalist Reflects how much you prioritize your own survival. Take ozen or scraps from chests and select choices that keep you alive.
Troublemaker Indicates how often you cause chaos instead of helping others. Break rock piles you find and pick options that trigger chaos.

Knowing how to boost each trait allows you to tailor your run’s style and can influence the ending outcome of the game.
