Does Kylie Jenner Love Gaming? Her Passion for Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Famous media personality Kylie Jenner recently made waves online after a video showed her passionately expressing her love for Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

In a new episode of Therapuss, she shared with host Jake Shane that Breath of the Wild is the highest-rated game of all time, and she proceeded to discuss the game’s storyline, mentioning the villain Ganondorf and Link’s quest to save the world and Princess Zelda.

She also apologized to Zelda enthusiasts for being new to the beloved franchise and admitted to forgetting the names of the divine beasts, noting she had played Breath of the Wild for hours and days.

Is Kylie Jenner a gamer? She Shares Her Fandom for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The clip posted by Netflix on X (formerly Twitter) received mixed reactions. Some fans praised Kylie Jenner, while others accused her of trying to appear more relatable to average fans.

One person commented, “Honestly, it seems like Breath of the Wild is her first Zelda game, and she’s still pretty early in it, so she didn’t do too badly.”

Another said, “The fact that she said ‘Zelda’ and immediately started talking about BOTW (a game she’s barely played) without mentioning that the series has over 21 main titles—lol. She’s just a normie and should stay away from video game series. We don’t need her.”

A different user responded, “You’re a loser. If someone wants to get into gaming, regardless of how often or deeply, they should be welcomed. People like to play casually if that’s what they enjoy.”

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Adventure

The game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild completely changed the way Zelda games are played. The biggest change was creating a huge open world where players have the freedom to explore Hyrule, fight monsters, and figure out dungeons in their own way.

In this game, Link is portrayed as a well-known knight instead of a simple farmer, like in the earlier games. Instead of giving players all of Link’s backstory directly, the developers made him forget who he is. Finding lost memories becomes an important side quest, and players can discover these memories in different locations across Hyrule. Here’s a guide to some of their locations:

    Sacred Ground Ruins
    “Subdued Ceremony”

    • Warp to Central Hyrule.
    • Head north through Hyrule Field until the Sacred Ground Ruins appear.
    • The memory is in the glowing area in the middle of the circular ruins, showing how the Champions united.
This memory provides insight into the timeline of Breath of the Wild and introduces the game’s backstory.

    Lake Kolomo
    “Resolve and Grief”

    • Warp to Grand Plateau Tower and paraglide toward Hyrule Field.
    • Aim your flight towards Hyrule Castle, coming to the banks of Lake Kolomo.
    • The memory is among the trees with the mountains in the background.
In this scene, Link sees a cutscene revealing Zelda’s worries as she and the Champions try to defeat Ganon.

    Ancient Columns
    “Zelda’s Resentment”

    • This is just outside the Tena Ko’sah Shrine, so you can warp there and walk over, or go through Piper Ridge from Tabantha Tower if you haven’t found the shrine yet.
    • The memory is outside the shrine, so it’s easy to spot.
It shows Zelda’s initial annoyance with having a guard constantly watch her.

    Kara Kara Bazaar
    “Blades of the Yiga”

    • Warp to Wasteland Tower or Kay Noh Shrine, then head south-west toward Gerudo Town.
    • Outside, near a small pond at the edge of the town, you’ll find the memory.
This scene recalls how Link saved Zelda early in their friendship from assassins.

    Eldin Canyon
    “A Premonition”

    • From Eldin Tower, paraglide west into the mountains.
    • Slightly steer south until you reach the spot shown in the game.
This memory depicts the aftermath of a big fight with Ganon’s forces. Before moving on, it’s worth solving the nearby Korok rock puzzle.

    Irch Plain
    “Silent Princess”

    • Warp to Ridgeland Tower and glide toward Hyrule Castle on Irch Plain.
    • Go around the castle until you see a tall, lone tree.
    • The memory is right next to that tree.
This scene shows Link and Zelda identifying plants and animals native to Hyrule. Be careful, as the area is dangerous, so try to visit quickly or when you’re prepared to deal with Guardians.

    West Necluda
    “Shelter From The Storm”

    • Warp to the Great Plateau Tower and glide east toward the Dueling Peaks, or cross the river south of Bosh Kala Shrine for a quicker route.
    • Cross Scout’s Hill and find the memory under a tree atop a large rock.
This scene discusses Zelda questioning her and Link’s roles as heroes fighting the darkness.

    Hyrule Castle
    “Father and Daughter”

    • This is the most difficult to reach since it’s in the castle’s most dangerous area. The memory is located in Princess Zelda’s Study at the top of the castle.
    • The easiest way is to paraglide from the west over the moat, but beware of Guardians along the way.
It shows the strained relationship between Zelda and her father before the monster Ganon rises.

    Spring of Power
    “Slumbering Power”

    • Find this memory near East Akkala Stable, close to Tutsuwa Nima Shrine.
    • From the stable, ride a horse north into the grassy fields.
    • Eventually, you’ll reach a sinkhole with waterfalls, and the memory is at the bottom.
It reveals Zelda’s efforts to awaken her powers.

    Sanidin Park Ruins
    “To Mount Lanayru”

    • Warp to the Central Tower and go west until you cross the Regencia River.
    • On the other side, a large horse statue marks the ruins’ location.
    • The memory is in front of the statue, showing Zelda’s thoughts on traveling to the Spring of Wisdom.

These locations help uncover the story of Zelda and Link, filling in the gaps of their memories and past experiences throughout their adventure.

  • Top 10 Strongest Recipes in BOTW & How to Craft Them

Top 10 Strongest Recipes in BOTW & How to Craft Them

Food plays a vital role in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Both raw ingredients and cooked dishes help Link recover health and stamina. Some foods also offer extra protection against harsh weather, such as cold or heat. Learning which recipes are most effective is an important skill for surviving the many challenges across Hyrule.

The game offers 118 different cooked food dishes and 12 basic elixirs, each with variations. Recipes made from standard ingredients are straightforward, while elixirs require critters and parts from monsters or guardians. It’s a good idea to gather and stockpile whatever you find. You never know when these may come in handy.

    Best Recipes to Restore Stamina

When exploring high mountains or running from enemies, stamina can deplete quickly. Some recipes can restore or boost your stamina wheels, helping you reach new places in Hyrule.

    Examples include:

    • Enduring Fried Wild Greens: Adds 2 extra stamina wheels. Made with 5 Endura Carrots.
    • Enduring Steamed Meat: Adds 1 stamina wheel. Uses 2 Endura Carrots, 2 Endura Shrooms, and 1 Raw Gourmet Meat.
    • Energizing Salt-Grilled Fish: Fully refills up to 3 stamina wheels. Created with 2 Staminoka Bass, 2 Stamella Mushrooms, and Rock Salt.
    • Energizing Honey Candy: Replenishes nearly 3 stamina wheels. Made with 5 Courser Bee Honey.

Using these recipes efficiently can keep you moving longer between rests or before needing to recharge.

    Recipes for Restoring Hearts

In tough battles or dangerous encounters, restoring health is crucial. Starting with only three hearts, you’ll want to use recipes that maximize health recovery.

    Examples include:

    • Fish and Mushroom Skewers: Fully recovers health and grants 20 extra hearts. Crafted with Big Hearty Truffles and Hearty Salmon.
    • Full Recovery Dishes: Such as “Copious Seafood Skewers” or “Fish Skewers,” which restore all health plus additional hearts.
    • Steamed and Glazed Meats: Max out to 28 hearts with 4 Raw Gourmet Meats plus a vegetable like Endura Carrot or Durian.
    • Special Fruits: Like Steamed or Glazed Fruit, to boost health while exploring.

Early in the game, focusing on full-heart recovery can prevent constant reloading from death and keep you alive longer.

    Weather Resistance Recipes

Hyrule’s unpredictable climates require cold, heat, and electric resistance. Foods labeled “spicy” grant cold resistance, “chilly” for heat, and “electro” for electricity.

    Examples include:

    • Spicy Steamed Mushrooms: Protects against cold for 30 minutes, made with Sunshrooms, Farosh’s Horn shard, and spices.
    • Chilly Fruits: Like “Chilly Fruit and Mushroom Mix,” lasting 30 minutes against cold.
    • Electro Fish and Mushroom Skewers: Protect against electricity for 30 minutes, using Voltshrooms, Farosh’s Horn, and other critters.
    • Special ingredients such as shards of dragon horns can extend resistance effects significantly (up to 30 minutes or more).

While farming dragon parts can be dangerous and time-consuming, wearing weather-resistant clothing is often easier and more efficient for enduring extreme conditions.

    Speed Boosting Recipes

Sometimes escaping danger is smarter than fighting. Recipes that boost movement speed are useful for quick getaways.

    Examples:

    • Hasty Fruit and Mushroom Mix: Grants 30 minutes of increased speed using Fleet Lotus Seeds, Rushroom, and Farosh’s Horn shard.
    • Hasty Veggie Cream Soup: Offers 11 minutes of increased movement speed with Swift Carrots, Milk, and Monster Extract.
    • Hasty Apple Pie: Provides about 10 minutes of fast travel, made with apples, Fleet-Lotus Seeds, and sweeteners.

Keep a couple of these handy—they’re helpful for quick escapes but less critical than health or stamina recipes.

    Combat Boost Recipes

Boosting attack or defense helps when facing powerful enemies. “Tough” dishes increase defense, while “mighty” dishes increase attack.

    Examples include:

    • Tough Salt-Grilled Fish: Strong defense boost for nearly 5 minutes, prepared with Armored Porgy and Rock Salt.
    • Mighty Simmered Fruit: Attack boost for 30 minutes, using Mighty Bananas and dragon parts.
    • High-defense dishes are best saved for boss fights or tough encounters with enemies like Lynels.

    Stealth Recipes

Sneaking past enemies like the Yiga Clan can sometimes be the best strategy. Some recipes temporarily boost stealth abilities.

    Examples:

    • Sneaky Fried Wild Greens: Provides 30 minutes of stealth boost, made with Silent Princess, fairies, and Farosh’s Horn.
    • Sneaky Steamed Fish: Offers 10 minutes of increased stealth with Silent Princess, Sneaky River Snails, and other critters.
    • More stealth foods can help you navigate hazardous areas undetected.

Having these on hand makes sneaking easier when you prefer avoiding combat.

    Elixir Combinations

Elixirs are made from critters (frogs, insects, lizards) combined with monster parts. The type of critter determines the elixir’s nature, while monster parts affect how long it lasts.

Some of the most powerful monster parts include:

    • Bokoblin Guts
    • Moblin Guts
    • Lizalfos Tails
    • Lynel Guts
    • Keese Eyeballs and others

    Popular elixir recipes might provide:

    • Extra hearts (with Hearty Lizards)
    • Stamina regeneration
    • Increased attack, defense, or stealth

Preparation might require farming dangerous creatures, but these elixirs can be game-changers during boss fights or extended exploration.

    Final Tips

It’s wise to keep a variety of recipes and elixirs ready. Health and stamina recovery are always a priority, especially early on. Weather resistance and stealth foods are useful but can often be replaced with armor or clothing for durability.

Overall, gathering ingredients and understanding how to combine them effectively will give you many strategic options. Stock up on versatile recipes—you never know when you’ll need a quick boost to survive or escape in Hyrule.

Miyamoto Unveils Main Cast for Live-Action Zelda Movie

Digital Phablet – Contrary to some rumors, Hunter Schafer will not be portraying Zelda. Shigeru Miyamoto from Nintendo recently created a buzz online by announcing the lead roles for the forthcoming live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda.

This much-anticipated film is slated for release in May 2027, and it has ignited substantial discussions on social media. Many fans have expressed their apprehension regarding a live-action version of a beloved video game series, arguing that an animated interpretation would have been a more suitable approach for introducing Zelda to the cinematic landscape.

According to a tweet by Geoff Keighley, British actress Bo Bragason has been cast as Zelda, while Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will take on the role of Link. One user commented, “Actually great casting choices,” while another said, “I still think it’s strange to choose live-action over animation.”

    Preorder the Sidon Amiibo

    The Sage of Water

The Sidon amiibo for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom features the Sage of Water confidently holding his iconic Lightscale Trident. First introduced in Breath of the Wild as the Zora prince, Sidon is the son of King Dorephan and the younger brother of Champion Mipha. He welcomed Link back into the world after a century of slumber and aided him in defeating the Divine Beast Vah Ruta. In Tears of the Kingdom, he assists Link once more, helping to clear a troublesome sludge from Zora’s Domain.

You can preorder your Sidon amiibo here!

Since his debut, Sidon has captured fans’ hearts with his striking design and charming personality. Similar to the other amiibo, this figure will also yield random items in both games and has the potential to drop a unique Paraglider fabric in Tears of the Kingdom.

    Preorder the Tulin Amiibo

    The Sage of Wind

Next is the Tulin amiibo, showcasing the Sage of Wind from Tears of the Kingdom. Notably, Tulin’s role in this game significantly expands compared to his minor appearance in Breath of the Wild. Like the others, Tulin will grant random items in both games for the Switch and Switch 2, including the possibility of a special Paraglider fabric in Tears of the Kingdom.

    Preorder the Yunobo Amiibo

    The Sage of Fire

Last on our list is the Yunobo amiibo, depicting the Sage of Fire in a humorous pose. A member of the Goron tribe and a descendant of the original champion Daruk, Yunobo plays a crucial role in aiding Link throughout both Zelda games. In the first title, he helps defeat the Divine Beast Vah Rudania, and later becomes the Sage of Fire, supporting Link in freeing Goron City from the effects of consuming Gloom-infested rocks. You can preorder your Yunobo amiibo here!

As of now, the Yunobo amiibo is marked as "coming soon" at Best Buy, GameStop, and Target, and is not listed on Walmart’s online store. It is expected to become available for preorder shortly. Like his fellow amiibo, he will generate random items, along with a potential special Paraglider fabric in Tears of the Kingdom.

That’s the scoop on the new amiibo! Preorders are already live for Riju, Sidon, and Tulin, but you may need to hold off a little longer for Yunobo. Regardless, all of them are set to release alongside the impressive Switch 2 and its versions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

  • Zelda’s Tale: Whispers of Ancient Wisdom

Zelda’s Tale: Whispers of Ancient Wisdom

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom shares elements with other titles in the series, emphasizing the importance of bombs early in your journey. For those familiar with The Legend of Zelda, bombs serve as potent tools to dismantle barriers, inflict damage on foes, and expand your exploration opportunities throughout the expansive game environment.

Bombs come in various types, including traditional items you can place and powerful Echoes featured in TLoZ: Echoes of Wisdom. Players can summon Echoes any time, allowing you to evoke the memories of items or adversaries you’ve encountered. There are two distinct types of bomb Echoes obtainable early on, granting you access to explosives before incorporating them into the ongoing storyline.

    How to Acquire Bombs

    Obtain the Right Echoes

Bombs are accessible through two types of Echoes: the Bombfish and Zirro mushrooms, found in different areas. While traditional bomb items can be obtained later in the storyline, acquiring bombs early can be beneficial to bypass obstacles immediately. For instance, one of the dungeons in the game requires bombs to progress, preventing you from obtaining its rewards without them.

To prioritize your search for bombs, aim to collect Bombfish first. These bombs are easier to locate compared to Zirro Echoes or traditional bombs. However, you must carry some combat Echoes before you can start looking for any bomb types available in TLoZ: Echoes of Wisdom.

How to Acquire and Use the Bombfish

    Defeat a Dangerous Opponent

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Zelda acquiring the Bombfish Echo

You can obtain the Bombfish Echo by defeating the Bombfish enemy at Zora River, an area to the east that you may have already explored. You’ll be able to access this place after completing the first rift and the Suthorn Forest dungeon. Travel south from Zora River until you find a cave located just left of the large rift on your map to find the Bombfish.

Inside the cave, notice a gentle stream and a sign instructing not to disturb the Bombfish swimming within. You should spot the Bombfish moving back and forth, prepared to explode if you inadvertently step into the water. Simply trigger the bomb fish from a distance to take it down and claim it as an Echo.

You can use various Echoes Zelda already possesses to combat the Bombfish, like the Chompfin, which can strike the Bombfish in the water, causing it to detonate.

The Bombfish located south of Zora River Village isn’t the only one available in the broader Jabul Waters area. Once you acquire it, you can throw the Bombfish at an enemy or target a foe using L2 to direct it to swim and explode on the target. The Bombfish won’t harm you, so take advantage of its explosions to break down cracked walls, destroy vulnerable objects, or even challenge bosses in TLoZ: Echoes of Wisdom.

How to Acquire and Use the Zirro Echo

    Combat Flying Enemies

Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Zelda using Zirro Echo to drop bombs on enemies

Zirros are small, winged mushroom-like creatures that flit around Hyrule, dropping bombs from time to time. After defeating one for the first time, you can use them as an Echo, much like the Bombfish. However, you won’t find Zirros until you reach Eldin Volcano, an area typically accessed later in the game.

You can explore Eldin Volcano early and start to encounter Zirros mainly to the west of Goron City. Evade the bombs dropped by Zirros and summon an Echo with ranged attacks to take them down from the sky. Any thrown spears, arrows, or similar ranged attacks will eventually defeat at least one Zirro, granting you the Echo you desire.

The easiest way to find Zirros is to head west of Goron City, past the area where you can grab smoothies in TLoZ: Echoes of Wisdom, along the path just beyond the settlement’s entrance.

Using a Zirro Echo can be more challenging than employing a Bombfish, yet the controls operate similarly. You can still aim at enemies using L2, which directs the summoned Zirro Echo to drop a bomb that detonates shortly after. Although these bombs trigger quickly, timing their explosions to hit targets, including destructible parts of the environment, can be tricky.

    How to Acquire Normal Bombs

    Overcome a Dark Reflection

Normal bombs are often referred to as Bombs of Might and can be acquired after you defeat Dark Link in the Eldin Volcano dungeon. This dark incarnation of the legendary hero Link serves as the dungeon’s final boss, attempting to take you down using only conventional bombs. The arena is filled with cracked sand blocks that can be shattered by detonating a bomb nearby.

Can You Play as Link in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom?

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom features Princess Zelda as the main character, but can you also play as Link?

To access Dark Link, you must allow him to expose a path as he breaks blocks in the boss arena. Stay clear of the explosions, and reach Dark Link to attack using your Swordfighter form or various attacking Echoes. As shown in the accompanying video by YouTube creator Release-Fire, this strategy prompts Dark Link to transition to a second phase, during which he throws multiple bombs until defeated.

Players with the Zirro Echo can target Dark Link with their own aerial bombs, giving a strategic advantage in the boss battle.

Defeating Dark Link will grant your Swordfighter form the ability to deploy bombs throughout the game world. Similar to the Zirro and Bombfish Echoes, Bombs of Might can clear cracked sections of the environment to uncover hidden treasures or unlock routes to new areas. Explorers looking for secret Heart Pieces, Fairy Bottles, or accessories in TLoZ: Echoes of Wisdom will benefit from using bombs to reveal as many items as possible.

Normal bombs can be thrown while in Swordfighter form by pressing A, but deploying a bomb consumes Energy. Due to the limited duration of your Swordfighter form, this restricts the number of bombs you can use before running low on Energy. It’s often better to utilize Normal Bombs for combat, as you can upgrade Bombs of Might with Lueberry alongside the Swordfighter’s Bow and Sword.

When exploring, Bombfish are the most effective explosives, as they are simple to aim and not subject to quantity limitations. Players who acquire bombs early in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will discover many ways to reveal the secrets of the world, enhancing their strength for the journey ahead.

There Are 21 Main Zelda Games

The 21 primary installments in the Legend of Zelda series primarily feature action-adventure gameplay with certain RPG elements. The overarching narrative typically involves Link striving to thwart various dark forces threatening Zelda and the realm of Hyrule.

The Legend of Zelda: Whispers of Knowledge

The Hebra Mountains in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom present a challenging and unforgiving environment. However, the Ice Spikes accessory can simplify navigating its icy terrain. These spikes help reduce slipping on frozen surfaces, enabling you to explore and conquer this final area of the game more easily.

By the time you arrive at Hebra Mountain, you’ll likely have gathered several useful accessories throughout the game, leaving you with few remaining to find. Unlike many other items earned through completing side quests, the Ice Spikes are hidden within one of Hebra Mountain’s mini-dungeons. To acquire them, you’ll need to locate the cave first and defeat the enemies within to claim your reward.

Locating the Ice Spikes in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

Using Traversal Echoes to Access the Cave Entrance

The cave you need to enter is located near the base of the snowy region on Hebra Mountain, just west of a waterfall. While there are various routes to reach it, dense fog covers Hebra Mountain, preventing any direct drops from above. Therefore, you’ll need to climb your way across the mountainside.

Begin your ascent from the eastern side, making your way toward the waterfall starting from Conde’s House. On your route, stop further east to defeat and absorb the Echo of an Ice Wizzrobe; this Echo is incredibly valuable for combat. After reaching the top of the waterfall, use a Flying Tile to jump over to the ledge just outside the cave entrance.

Alternatively, if you prefer to approach from the south and west, utilize the Platboom Echo. By this stage in your gameplay, you should be able to summon at least three of them, and you’ll need all three for reaching the cave. Get close to the cave entrance from below and stack the Platbooms to ascend.

Place one down, let it rise, then overlap it with another halfway on the last one. Repeat this until you reach the cave’s entrance. Having the Frog Ring will simplify the process, as it allows you to jump directly onto the Platboom without additional support.

After a few lifts with the Platbooms, you should find yourself on the cliff’s ledge. Before entering the cave, use an Ignizol or another fire-based Echo to melt the nearby ice crystal and obtain one of the game’s Might Crystals. Once you’ve done that, you can proceed inside to claim your Ice Spikes.

    Navigating Through the Cave

Upon entering the cave, you’ll face a small chamber filled with Tektite Lv2s. These enemies are relatively easy to defeat. You can quickly handle them using your Swordfighter form or activate Tri’s Bind ability to allow one of your Boarblin or Darknut Echoes to handle them for you. Clear this room and then proceed to the cave’s main area.

The door to the second room will lock behind you, remaining closed until all foes in the chamber are taken care of. Inside, you’ll encounter more Tektite Lv2s along with several Ice Octos. Deploy a swarm of Keese to take down the Tektites, and then use a Fire Octo or two to handle the icy foes.

Ice Octos are susceptible to fire, making it easy to set them ablaze and watch them be defeated.

After vanquishing all enemies in the room, collect any rupees or items they drop. Head to the central area at the top of the room, where you’ll find a chest. Inside, the Ice Spikes await you, described as “Footwear equipped with spikes for gripping into the ice. Wearing these helps prevent slipping.”

Why You Should Get the Ice Spikes

    The Challenges Posed by Ice

The Ice Spikes are essential for traversing the slippery heights of Hebra Mountain. It’s incredibly frustrating to slide uncontrollably into cold waters or right in the trajectory of projectiles, and the Ice Spikes provide the grip needed to prevent such mishaps. Although they are described as providing “help in preventing slipping,” it appears these footwear entirely eradicate slipping, based on observations in Watermaron‘s YouTube video.

If you’re tired of slipping down the slopes of Hebra Mountain, spending a little time to secure the Ice Spikes is definitely worth the effort. The main challenge is reaching the cave, but the enemies inside shouldn’t pose much of a threat once you’re there. It’s nice that The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom offers tools to mitigate some of its more frustrating mechanics, allowing players to fully enjoy this exciting installment in the series.
