  • How To Complete All Achievements in Team Fortress 2 Classified

    | Achievement | Description | Tips |
    |————–|————–|——-|
    | A Calculated Accident | Kill an enemy from far away using an arcing rocket. | Use the Soldier class, equip the Rocket Launcher as your main weapon. Fire rockets at a long distance; their trajectory drops after a certain point, so aim accordingly to hit distant enemies. |
    | Total Domination | Have your team control all points during a round of Domination. | Capture every control point in one round. Having fast and effective Scouts can help capture points quickly due to their buff. |
    | Fast-track Status | Win a VIP Race round in less than three minutes. | Escort your team’s VIP through the points while blocking opponents. Complete this objective rapidly within the time limit. |
    | Setup and Payoff | Achieve a critical hit with Chekhov’s Punch at full critical energy. | This melee weapon for the Heavy needs to be charged. Hit three enemies to fully charge it, then land a critical blow on your next hit. |
    | Disarmament | Safely trigger an enemy’s mine that’s at least five seconds old without walking near it. | Throw a Sandwich (the Heavy’s secondary) onto the mine to detonate it from a safe distance. |
    | The Entrepreneur | Win a VIP round as the Civilian without dying. | Survive the entire round while escorting the VIP. Stay close to teammates to avoid getting eliminated. |
    | Triple Agent | Backstab enemies from all three opposing teams in a four-team match. | Play as a Spy in Four-Team mode. Use your knife to backstab one enemy from each team. |
    | Terminal Velocity | Kill someone by landing on them after using a Jump Pad. | Use the Engineer’s Jump Pad gadget, jump at an opponent, and attack while falling for a kill. |
    | 1, 1, 1, Uhh… | Kill an enemy with a malfunctioned explosive setup. | Equip the Demoman’s Dynamite Pack and taunt to make it explode prematurely, then get close to an enemy to secure the kill. |
    | It’s Dead! | Use the Shock Therapy gadget as a Medic to kill a Heavy with Chekhov’s Punch equipped. | Equip Shock Therapy and target a Heavy with Chekhov’s Punch, preferably when the Heavy is at full health. Timing and luck matter here. |
    | Policy of Containment | Deal 2,000 damage with the Heavy’s Anti-Air Cannon in one life without harming yourself. | Use the Anti-Air Cannon primary weapon, fire at enemies, and keep track of damage dealt. You can hold Tab to monitor your damage total. |
    | Fuse Refusal | Defuse an enemy Demoman’s Dynamite with the Wrench. | As Engineer, pick up your Wrench and quickly hit the thrown dynamite before it explodes. Timing is critical since dynamite explodes rapidly. |
    | Dead Air | Headshot an airborne opponent. | Use the Sniper class to land a headshot on a jumping or falling enemy. The standard Sniper Rifle works best for this. |
    | KA-BLOOIE! | Destroy five Engineer buildings with the Demoman’s Dynamite Pack. | Equip the Dynamite Pack, destroy Enemy Engineer structures such as Sentries, Dispensers, Jump Pads, or Teleporters. |
    | Deep Sleep | Kill 10 tranquilized players with your melee as a Spy. | Use the Tranquilizer Gun to put enemies to sleep, then finish them off with your knife. Avoid targeting full-health Heavies. |
    | Brick | … (Content missing or to be provided) | Use the Brick as a thrown weapon to make enemies fall into environmental hazards like pits or traps. Collaborate with friends for best results. |
    | Down with the Ship | Kill an enemy with the Admiralty Anchor Earthquake while falling from a high place. | Play as Soldier, equip the Admiralty Anchor, and fall from a high point to cause an earthquake that damages enemies below. |
    | Archaeology | Find the buried treasure on the Jinn map. | Search for five walls marked with ankh symbols, activate them simultaneously, then follow a secret path to find the hidden gold room. |
    | Fowl Play | Chase a chicken into a trap that kills it. | In Sunnyside, lead a chicken into the spinning crushers inside a building with a large “C” on point A. |
    | Birthday Blowout | Airblast 20 Dynamite Packs to defuse them. | As Pyro, right-click on enemy-thrown Dynamite Packs with the Flamethrower to airblast and disarm them. |
    | Nail Biter | Destroy five Sentry Guns with the Scout’s Nailgun. | Equip the Nailgun, then shoot and destroy enemy Sentry Guns set up by opponents’ Engineers. |
    | Playmaker | Win a game of Air Hockey on the 2Bridge map. | Play on the map called 2Bridge, aim the puck, and score three goals to win. |
    | Rip and Tear! | Achieve 10 kills with the Twin Barrel shotgun using meat shots. | Use the Pyro’s second shotgun, aim to hit all pellets at close range for guaranteed hits on enemies. |
    | Head Rush | Decapitate three enemies in one life using the Harvester. | Equip the Harvester melee, and quickly take down three foes. Using the Flare Gun can increase your success rate. |
    | Marathon Surgery | Extend a Rejuvenator ÜberCharge to 12 seconds. | Use a full ÜberCharge with the Rejuvenator, then equip your ÜberSpritze syringe to prolong the charge duration. Hitting enemies with the syringe grants extra charge time. |
    | Combo Splatter | Kill three enemies simultaneously with a Cyclops grenade combo. | Use the Cyclops (EMP grenade launcher) to throw grenades into mines or sticky bombs, causing a multi-enemy explosion. |
    | An Experienced World Traveler | Play full rounds on Dustbowl, 2Fort, Badlands, Well, and Avanti maps. | Just join games on these maps; check map rotation beforehand. |
    | Hunt Down the Frenchman | Damage an invisible Spy to reveal them. | Attack cloaked Spies to break their invisibility, making them vulnerable. |
    | Badge of Shame | Die to the enemy VIP. You are marked. | Happens during VIP or VIP Race modes when a low-damage Civilian kills you; let this occur naturally in gameplay. |
    | Destructive Criticism | Dominate a player who has a contributor medal. | Play on servers where developers, beta testers, or community contributors are present. Kill them four times in a row without being killed back. Look for their badge next to their name. |

  • Completing Every Class in Team Fortress 2 Classified: A Comprehensive Guide

Completing Every Class in Team Fortress 2 Classified: A Comprehensive Guide

Team Fortress 2 is a groundbreaking game in the Hero Shooter genre, offering nine distinct classes, each with unique play styles, strengths, and weaknesses. The “Team Fortress 2 Classified” mod enhances the classic experience from the early days of TF2 by tweaking these classes and introducing a new one.

If you’re new to this mod—that’s a smart move—you might need some time to learn each class, what they do, and which ones you’ll prefer. Here’s a complete guide to the classes in Team Fortress 2 Classified.

    Scout
The Scout is an offensive player, excelling at short to medium range. His main weapon is the Scattergun, a shotgun, but he can switch to a Nailgun for better precision. His secondary options include a Pistol or a Brick, and he wields a Bat melee weapon. The Scout stands out as the only character able to double jump and has a bonus that lets him capture points faster.

    Soldier
The Soldier carries a Rocket Launcher, which is versatile—not only damaging enemies but also used for propulsion when firing below him to reach higher spots. He has a Shotgun and a Shovel as well, making him a solid offensive choice. Damage from his own explosions is a factor to keep in mind.

    Pyro
The Pyro wields a Flamethrower that does more damage the closer you are, balancing sustainability with high burst damage. His secondary weapons include the standard Shotgun and the Twin Barrel, which features strong knockback. His signature weapon is the Flare Gun, effective against burning enemies. He also has a Fire Axe for melee, and the Harvester scythe variant heals him with each hit.

    Demoman
As a defensive class, Demoman is armed with a Grenade Launcher and a Stickybomb Launcher, making him proficient at setting traps and defending points. His secondary tools help him create tunnels or reach elevated areas. Variants include a Mine Layer and a Dynamite Pack that explodes into smaller bombs. Keep in mind, his Stickybombs can cause damage to himself unless using the Gunboats for damage reduction.

    Heavy
The Heavy is the game’s tank, using a Minigun for constant damage output and boasting the highest health pool. Alternative primary weapons like an Anti-Aircraft Cannon are available. His equipment also includes a Shotgun, a healing “Sandvich,” and fists—an upgraded variant increases critical hits and received damage.

    Engineer
More strategic, the Engineer builds gadgets such as Sentry Guns, Jump Pads, and Teleporters to control movement and defend positions. He needs resources from ammo boxes, but his constructions can be upgraded and repaired using his Wrench melee tool. His primary and secondary weapons are a basic Shotgun and Pistol, respectively, with the real strength lying in his build options.

    Medic
The Medic’s role is support—he heals allies with his Syringe Gun and can deal damage himself with it. The key feature is his ÜberCharge, which grants temporary invulnerability to him and a teammate, making him essential in team fights. The “Rejuvenator” and other variants make him a versatile helper in many scenarios.

    Sniper
The sniper specializes in long-range combat, wielding a Sniper Rifle that can be zoomed for increased damage the longer he aims. The scope charges with a visual indicator of lines and a thunder symbol. Additional weapons include the Hunting Revolver, which offers less range but more health, and The Huntsman bow. Secondary options cover an SMG, Kukri, and Fishwhacker.

    Spy
Perhaps the most intriguing, the Spy can disguise himself as enemies and infiltrate their ranks. His cover is broken if he deals or takes damage. He has a Knife for one-hit backstabs, a Revolver or Tranquilizer Gun, and can turn invisible with his Invis Watch. His Sapper disables enemy gadgets like Sentry Guns, making him a key asset for sabotage.

    Civilian
Unique to the Classified mod, the Civilian carries only an umbrella or a Derby Crane, which aren’t strong weapons. His main advantage lies in supporting teammates: he can give mini-crit boosts or haste buffs depending on the weapon he uses. This class is limited to VIP or special modes only.

  • Team Fortress 2 Classic Mod Arrives On Steam Soon

Team Fortress 2 Classic Mod Arrives On Steam Soon

Later this year, the Team Fortress 2 Classic mod will make its debut on Steam, allowing players to revisit the early era of Valve’s iconic team-based shooter, a time when the game was focused more on gameplay than on collecting hats. Although the mod has been accessible since 2020, with ongoing updates, this marks its first official release on the Steam platform.

This announcement follows last week’s unveiling of the TF2 source code, which took the gaming community by surprise. Valve has a history of supporting mod developers, and this full release of the source code opens doors for both players and creators to rejuvenate the almost two-decade-old title.

The Team Fortress 2 Classic mod enhances the original experience by incorporating modern quality-of-life improvements while capturing the essence of the game from its initial launch period. Additionally, it introduces the Civilian class, taking inspiration from the original Team Fortress Classic, along with various themed weapons that increase the game’s whimsical charm.

Developer Eminoma has categorized the updates into two groups: “new-old” and “new-new.” The “new-old” features present nostalgic elements, including the Civilian class and classic weapons like the Nailgun and Tranquilizer Gun. Furthermore, a new Four-Team mode has been introduced, allowing teams in yellow and green to join the traditional red and blue teams in battle.

The “new-new” features consist of unique offerings such as new game modes. Players can now engage in Domination, Territorial Domination, and VIP Race if they’re looking for alternatives to Capture the Flag. The mod also promises enhanced graphics, custom weapons, and custom maps, plus an enigmatic chicken whose significance remains unclear.

With its launch on Steam, the Team Fortress 2 Classic mod will reach a larger audience. Eminoma has indicated that they plan to continue expanding the game, stating, “Expect more weapons, modes, and characters as Team Fortress 2 Classic evolves,” as noted on its Steam page.

The Scout shocked standing above a table, with the Heavy and Soldier standing behind him.
    Valve

While it may not represent a major performance improvement, Valve introduced an intriguing update to Team Fortress 2 recently: the Scout is now sporting the right pants.

In the patch notes from the recent update released on Thursday, there’s a noteworthy entry stating, “Fixed BLU Scout using the incorrect team color pants.” At first glance, this might not seem significant, but this issue has persisted for the Scout on the BLU team for an astonishing 17 years.

One user on X, previously known as Twitter, pointed out the change, expressing their surprise: “They altered a character design after 17 years! What!”

When examining the original pants worn by the BLU Scout, it’s easy to see that they were a similar brown shade to what the RED Scout wears. While it didn’t entirely shatter immersion, it did appear somewhat inaccurate. The new pants are now a grayer tone, coordinating better with his bright blue shirt.

Interestingly, this change has sparked diverse opinions among the long-time fans of Team Fortress 2. Although the pants seem more accurate now, many of the cosmetic items released over the years for this free-to-play first-person shooter fail to blend with the new design, as noted by several users on platforms like Reddit.

YouTuber Shounic, who focuses on Team Fortress 2 content, highlighted the pants’ color discrepancy in a video that aired two years ago. He thoroughly examined every instance where the pants appeared gray or brown, revealing that Valve often mismatched colors even in non-game materials like comics and promotional videos. Shounic shared a follow-up video today discussing the alteration, emphasizing that the pants are currently only available on the default texture and possibly one or two other cosmetics. This leads to mismatches with outfits that still feature the older brown pants, creating a dissonant appearance. He dubbed this moment “the strangest day in TF2 history.”
