Completing All Druidic Shrines in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

In Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, you’ll discover intriguing Druidic Shrines scattered across various regions. These ancient altars, left by the land’s guardians, provide more than just backstory; they offer lasting benefits that can significantly improve your character’s defense and attack capabilities. To activate a shrine, you’ll need to make an offering, but the perks you receive are definitely worth it.

Let’s delve into how these Druidic Shrines function, the offerings you’ll need, and the specific buffs and armor sets available in each area. Whether you’re looking for a boost in power or unique armor, seeking out these shrines is a smart move on your journey.

    What Are Druidic Shrines?

Druidic Shrines are distinct landmarks found across every zone in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. Each region contains seven shrines, each requiring a single Animal Part as an offering. Though the offering type is consistent across all shrines, the bonuses stack permanently. Each time you activate a Druidic Shrine, you gain a 5% increase in incoming healing and a 3% boost to critical damage.

Tip: Don’t overlook shrines in high-risk areas. You can often make your offering and slip away without engaging in fights.

In addition to these buffs, you’ll be rewarded with a specific piece of armor related to your current region. In the Horns of the South, for example, you’ll gradually collect the Waning Moon set. In Cuanacht, you’ll gather the Horned Warden armor, and in Forlorn Swords, the powerful Archdruid armor. The rewards are given in a fixed order, no matter the sequence in which you visit the shrines.

Druidic Shrines in Horns of the South

Here’s where you can find all the Druidic Shrines in the Horns of the South:

    • Nestled in a rocky chasm along the road north of the Abandoned Stronghold.
    • On the beach directly west of the Mansion By The Beach.
    • West of the Sunken Village, at the entrance to a narrow pathway between cliffs on the beach.
    • South of the Horns of the South, along the beach against a cliff.
    • At the top of a raised rocky path northeast of Blood Lake.
    • East of the Ruined Broch, north of the path along the stone walls.
    • Directly north of Archspire, on the other side of some stone slabs.

    Druidic Shrines in Cuanacht

Here’s where to locate all the Druidic Shrines in Cuanacht:

    • Directly west of High Cliff Gate.
    • East of the Derelict Amphitheater, across the river in a grassy clearing.
    • South of the Last Tree, just across the bridge.
    • Following the river’s edge south after crossing the eastern bridge from Wyrd Tower.
    • Right next to the second Wyrd Tower by the massive vertebrae, at the end of the northern path.
    • Northeast of The Swamps, beside the Forgotten Gate.
    • South of The Swamps, across a wooden bridge.

    Druidic Shrines in Forlorn Swords

Here are the locations of all the Druidic Shrines in Forlorn Swords:

    • Where the grass meets the snow, northeast of the Stagfather Shrine near a fork in the road.
    • From Volker Village, along the southern road on the right side.
    • Next to an icy cliff near the Lake of The Primordial Beast, west of the Warrior Grave.
    • At the end of a winding road that twists southwest from the Theud Village fast travel point.
    • Southeast of Gunnvaldr Stronghold, nestled between tall rocky terrain and a sheer cliff.
    • At the entrance to the southern mountain pass of Forlorn Swords Main Gate, leading to Cuanacht.
    • Southwest of Frozen Lake, across both roads and close to a cliff.

These locations will help you efficiently find Druidic Shrines and reap their benefits as you explore the vast world of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.

  • Completing All Stagfather Shrine Locations in Tainted Grail: Avalon

Completing All Stagfather Shrine Locations in Tainted Grail: Avalon

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon offers an expansive world filled with diverse shrines. Some shrines provide temporary boosts, while others grant permanent advantages or serve as challenges to assess your skills. Among these, the Stagfather Shrines stand out in their appeal.

In each area, there are three of these shrines, which challenge players to hunt spectral Wyrddeer within a time limit. Finishing these challenges earns you unique crafting materials and special recipes. Since these are one-time events, you’ll need to act quickly—Wyrddeer can escape if not defeated promptly. It’s wise to use your King’s Power and slowing spells to manage the pursuit, and don’t forget to rely on robust ranged or melee attacks to take them down quickly.

Rewards for Completing a Stagfather Shrine Trial

Upon completing a Stagfather Shrine trial, you will gain valuable materials essential for high-level crafting and alchemy. The rewards vary, depending on whether it’s your first attempt or a rerepeat. First-time completions are especially rewarding, providing unique recipes in addition to rare items.

    Rewards include:

    • The Stag’s Defiance (Recipe – First Time)
    • The Stag’s Woe (Recipe – First Time)
    • Wyrddeer Stew (Recipe – First Time)
    • Wyrddeer Pelt
    • Wyrd Antler Fragments
    • Wyrd Bones
    • Wyrd Venison
    • Ethereal Cobwebs

Horns of the South Stagfather Shrines

For the first shrine, begin at the Deserted Settlement. Move east into the sparse forest, just north of the road, and slightly veer south. You’ll soon spot the Stagfather Shrine.

To reach the second shrine from the Ruined Broch, head northwest, passing large rocky formations. The shrine will be directly ahead. If you reach the ruined King’s Road and twisted trees, you’ve gone too far.

Starting at the Abandoned Village for the last shrine, travel north along the road until you find a bridge over a river. Cross the bridge, then immediately turn left onto the adjacent path. Follow the road west between two large stone masses, and you’ll eventually discover another Stagfather Shrine at the end.

To unlock the Prey of the Wyrdness achievement, rest at a bonfire near the second shrine and awaken during the nightly Wyrdness to trigger an ambush event.

    Cuanacht Stagfather Shrines

For the first shrine, begin at The Swamp fast travel point. This one is simple to locate—head a short distance east through some twisted trees, and you’ll find the Stagfather Shrine.

From the Wyrd Tower for the second shrine, travel directly southwest along the road, shifting more eastward when the path splits. Watch out for redcaps, bandits, and bears in the area. You’ll soon see the Stagfather Shrine to your left, nestled in a field full of pink flowers.

The third shrine is east of the Plains. Start there and follow the road leading east, through grassy terrain and cliffs on both sides, passing massive standing stones crowned with giant antlers. Once the rocky path transitions to open land, move south to find the Stagfather Shrine.

Be cautious around the Plains shrine; even high-level players may find the bears and buggane in the area quite dangerous.

    Forlorn Swords Stagfather Shrines

Begin at the Zone Gate 2 fast travel point, heading south past the Forlorn Swords Northern Gate, following the main path. Eventually, you’ll notice a rocky outcropping to your left. Continue south around the outcrop until you spot an upward slope. Follow that path to find the Stagfather Shrine.

For the next shrine, start at the Frozen Lake fast travel point. Head north, crossing a small bridge, and you’ll reach a crossroads. The Stagfather Shrine will be visible northeast across the road.

The final shrine requires you to head east from Ulfr Village. Follow the road and take the wooden lift down to the bottom of the cliff. Stick close to the cliff wall heading north until you encounter the Stagfather Shrine along your route.

  • Completing the Quest for Muriel: Wisdom in Tainted Grail

In Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, with so many decisions and outcomes, it’s easy to feel uncertain about your choices. While there are many characters to turn to for guidance, why not seek advice from someone with vast experience—someone who has witnessed countless events over what feels like a lifetime?

Muriel is one such character. Initially, she comes off as quite cantankerous, but once you engage her in conversation, you’ll uncover invaluable insights about Avalon and the human experience during these challenging times. We’ll guide you on how to track her down!

Where to Find Muriel the Chicken in the Horns of the South

Before you can set off on your quest for wisdom, you must assist Jann Heber in the Horns of the South. He’ll provide you with a special potion as a trial, and after consuming it, your adventure begins.

At first, the potion seems ineffective, but then you’ll meet Muriel at the tower on the western side of the fort. Approach the white chicken in the rooftop garden and discover that Heber’s potion allows you to converse with chickens!

This marks the first of three encounters with Muriel, as she will move throughout Avalon as the main story unfolds. If you find and talk to her three times, you’ll earn the Oracle’s Cluck trophy/achievement.

Where to Find Muriel the Chicken in Cuanacht

In Act Two, when you arrive in Cuanacht, head to the lower section of the city near the pig pen. Just a short distance from there, you’ll spot Muriel near a crumbling wall.

Engage with her to catch up on your adventures and learn more about her. There’s plenty to discuss, so be friendly and ask any questions before you move on.

Where to Find Muriel the Chicken in the Forlorn Swords

Your last stop is Theud village in the southwestern area of the Forlorn Swords. Just outside, overlooking the ruined bridge, you’ll find Muriel waiting for you.

When you approach her for the first time, it’ll be more of a catch-up. However, the achievement for uncovering her secrets won’t activate yet. Talk to her again to access a list of questions, then inquire about her flying.

Initially, she may respond with some sarcasm, but as you persist in encouraging her to fly, you’ll trigger a cutscene that completes this hidden questline. This unlocks the trophy/achievement, and Muriel will finally take her leave from Avalon and head home.

After her departure, Muriel’s body might remain on the platform, and if you talk to her, she’ll simply say, “Bye!”

  • Completing the Quest for the False Magic Ring in Tainted Grail

In Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, you can embark on numerous quests, from saving a realm to helping mud-covered pigs find romance. Throughout your journey, you’ll encounter various characters eager to share a chat or a treasure. Keep in mind, though, not everyone you meet is alive.

You’d be amazed at what a decaying corpse in the woods might hold. We’re here to guide you to a unique ring known for its claim to eliminate fall damage once and for all. Who wouldn’t be curious about that? Let’s uncover the truth and track down this legendary ring.

Where to Find the Ring of Fall Damage Reduction

To locate this ring and the unfortunate soul who last wore it, fast travel to the Ruined Broch waypoint. From there, head south through the trees toward the cliff face, where you’ll discover a body on the ground near a tree.

If you’re having trouble finding the body, walk directly through the twin trees and continue straight ahead.

Once you find the body, you’ll see a Ring of Fall Damage Reduction lying next to it. Collect it and check out the jewelry. Unlike most enchanted items that come with special effects text, this one stands out.

This ring merely states that the legends claim it grants immunity to fall damage. Interested in giving it a try?

How to Unlock the WAAAOOOAAGGHH!!! Achievement/Trophy

Put on the ring and head west to the tower you’ll encounter during the No Place For Strays quest. Climb to the top and jump off to take fall damage. If you perish from the fall, you’ll unlock the achievement.

Make sure to save your game before jumping from a high spot.

If one jump isn’t sufficient, skip the tower and head to the Forlorn Swords to leap from the cliffs or take a risk on the hill next to the tower, which leads to the Lair of the Beast. The higher you go, the better.

Remember, the ring is just a ring with some extra lore, and the achievement won’t be triggered until you die from fall damage while wearing it.

  • Completing the Quest: Solving the Forgotten Giant in Tainted Grail

Having arrived in the Forlorn Swords region in **Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon**, you’ve not only come to the final resting place of King Arthur’s crown, but also the territory of the Dál Riata tribes. Like those in the Horns of the South and Cuanacht, they too are grappling with their own challenges.

The **Úlfr Tribe** finds themselves in a tough spot. Their chieftain has harnessed the Giant’s power against their wishes, leaving them without a say. Until they handle Thrygve, the Úlfr won’t be partaking in the Moot anytime soon.

How to Assist the Úlfr Tribe

Player character speaking to Stron'ner, an Ulfr tribe Blacksmith, about a potential Moot in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.

The **Úlfr Tribe**’s main quest is **Rise the Mountain, Face the Storm**. They’re situated on the **southwest side** of the Forlorn Swords, just **west of the Capital, where Gerf’hanr is**. Upon approaching, you’ll need to **speak with the guard.**

After your conversation, go inside and talk to Egill. Then head **up the stairs** to the main area of the Úlfr Village, and visit the **Forge of the Úlfr Tribe**, accessible through a large **doorway** in the wall below the stairs and scaffolding leading higher up.

Speak with **Stron’ner at the forge** near the entrance; he’ll guide you to Darv’hanr, who is located in the **Hall of the Stonewardens** at the **top of the staircase**.

If you’ve **completed** the side quest **A Pebble in the Pit** and started **Call of the Wintermoon**, speak with Darv’hanr once you possess the Stone Talisman.

Next, return to Stron’ner and ask about his wife. Then, head back outside to the lift that originally brought you to the village. This time, **follow the path around** to the **western edge of the Forlorn Swords**.

Enter the **house by the cliff**, unlock the **door to the basement**, and **talk to Vigdis**. From here, you will need to **locate each of the Giants’ resting places** and present them with an offering.

    The Gunnvaldr Giant’s Blessing

The Gunnvaldr Giant can be found in the **ruined Gunnvaldr Village**, near the **center of the Forlorn Swords**, with the **shrine close to the entrance** where Vati and the fast travel point are located.

Make sure to **clear out the Undead and Brimshades around the village**, as the mist from the Brimshades can obstruct your view, and they may disrupt the upcoming trial.

Approach the shrine and **choose one animal component** for sacrifice. You can use any type of animal part, but creatures like Redcaps or Marrowghasts won’t qualify. Possible items to offer include:

    • Croakmaw Skin
    • Croakmaw Horns
    • Deer Pelt
    • Antler Fragments
    • Bear Pelt
    • Wolf Fangs
    • Wolf Pelt

While it’s suggested, you don’t have to summon allies like the Battlemage or Corpse Eater to complete the trial, though it can be entertaining to do so within the narrative.

After the sacrifice, the **Giant of Summoning** will reach out to you and set up a trial. You’ll face off against two icy **Croakmaws**, which are tougher than the regular versions and can inflict the Frozen status. After defeating them, you’ll successfully complete the trial and earn the Gunnvaldr Giant’s Blessing.

    The Forgotten Giant’s Blessing

Close up view of the western side of Forlorn Swords with an orange star edited onto the Forgotten Giant's location in Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon.

The Forgotten Giant resides at the **bottom of a canyon northeast of the Capital**. Start at the Capital and head east, following the cliff wall until you find a **cave called the Mine Pass**.

Venture inside and take the lift down to the bottom level. Exit into the gorge, and **follow the left path** past a fast travel point into the **Mountain Ice Cave**.

If you **take the small pathway next to the Mine Pass exit**, you can unearth a chest containing a two-handed greatsword called **The Unstoppable**, which has high damage and replenishes 50 stamina upon defeating an enemy.

Follow the **path down to the main chamber**, where you will find another Giant with a shrine before them. Similar to before, you’ll need to **sacrifice an animal component** from a common or monster source, such as a Deer Pelt or Croakmaw Skin.

Player character fighting a Gloomfrond and being hit by its root attack in Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon.

Upon making the sacrifice, the Forgotten Giant will set up a trial for you. A **Gloomfrond** will spawn behind you, a challenging enemy known for its powerful physical attacks, including a **charging move**, a **laser beam** reminiscent of the blind Marrowghasts, and **damaging roots** it can summon.

After you manage to defeat it, **loot its body** for the requested items, and the Forgotten Giant will converse with you again, rewarding you with the **Forgotten Giant’s blessing**.

You can **access the room blocked by roots by crouching and crawling through a hole before the doorway**, where a chest can be dug up.

    The Theud Giant’s Blessing

To find the Theud Giant, start from the **Úlfr Village**, then head **east from the fast travel point**, moving toward the cliff edge where Vigdis is, but continue past it until you reach the **Elevator Pass**.

Pass through the short tunnel, **take the lift down**, and you’ll exit onto a beach area with a fast travel point. Cross the crumbling bridge and pray at the **Croakmaw Shrine nearby** if you have the required parts to gain an extra **50 points to your Encumbrance Limit**. After that, **follow the long path** up the mountain.

On the **bottom level of the Elevator Pass**, you can mine through two rock walls. One leads to a chest with standard loot, while the other has a chest you can dig up to obtain the **Amulet of Inspiration**.

A **magical lift** will carry you the rest of the way up to the **Theud Village**, which you must visit as part of **Divided We Fall** since the Theud have their own quest to complete. Go to the **southwestern corner of the village**, where the Theud Giant will be at the top of the stairs.

This time, you only need to sacrifice a **Rose**, which can be found throughout both Horn of the South and Cuanacht, or purchased from merchants like **Alwyn** in Cuanacht or **Jann Heber** in the Horns of the South Keep.

Player character charging up Merlin's Thorns spell against a Beholder in a different realm in Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon.

You’ll be **transported into a different realm** and need to **battle three enemies**: two Beholders and the boss, an Ancient Beholder. All three deal **extremely high damage with their laser beams**, especially the Ancient Beholder.

First, **eliminate the Beholders** as they have lower HP, and make use of the arena to your benefit; you can **hide behind the trees** if you need to heal.

Once they’re taken care of, focus on the Ancient Beholder. Watch out for the **attack when it kneels**, as it will charge a damaging beam, which you can dodge by moving around it.

After defeating all three, you’ll earn the **Theud Giant’s Blessing**, allowing you to return to Darv’hanr with the good news.

During your chat, you’ll be prompted to **ask him to forge the weapon** or to forge it yourself. Both choices yield the same weapon: the **Giant’s Grudge greatsword**, which has no stat requirements, making it accessible for any build.

    How to Defeat Thrygve

Player character fighting Thrygve and using the Giant's Grudge greatsword to block while the man swings in Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon.

Head to the **altar near the Úlfr Village**, where you’ll see **Thrygve sitting on a throne** against the pillars. Engage him in conversation, and when you **challenge him to combat**, you’ll be transported to a special realm.

You’ll face him in a one-on-one fight, and only the **Giant’s Grudge** will be able to harm him. He can deal considerable damage, particularly if you’re low on stamina. However, since he wields a two-handed weapon, he is not particularly fast.

Use a mix of dodging and blocking during his attacks, and land your **Light and Heavy attacks** when you can. When his health dips to around half, he will pause to **drink a potion** to recover 25% of his health, but you can **interrupt** this by attacking him while he tries, forcing him to dodge.

If you miss that chance, continue with your strategy, keeping a close eye on your stamina to avoid running out while in his range, and utilize healing potions or food items to maintain your health.

As he’s nearly finished, the battle will conclude and you’ll face a choice: have either **Stron’ner or Darv’hanr** become the next chieftain of the Úlfr tribe.

    Consequences of Choosing Stron’ner

    Consequences of Choosing Darv’hanr

If you **choose Stron’ner** as the leader, he will **agree to attend the Moot**, advancing that part of **Divided We Fall.**

Choosing **Darv’hanr** as leader means he will **refuse to attend the Moot**, preventing the tribe from coming to the Capital. However, the quest will not fail.

You can **search Thrygve’s body for Thrygve’s Axe**, a two-handed greataxe, and a set of **Titansteel armor** once you finish the quest.

After you make your choice, you’ll return back to the mortal realm and have a scene with both leaders, resulting in **progress for Divided We Fall**. Additionally, this completes **Rise the Mountain, Face the Storm**, earning you around **5,000 EXP**.

When you begin at the Island Asylum, your first aim should be to enter the locked laboratory. You can either snatch the key from a Red Priest or break in using a pickaxe found in the hallway. Inside, you’ll encounter Ninian.

Ninian is in the later stages of the Red Plague and is in pain. Speaking with him provides context about his situation, and he shares his last wish: to return his dog tags to the Quartermaster in the Horns of the South. After ending his suffering, loot the tags from his body.

You can also defeat him without conversing to get the tags.

    Finding the Starting Beach Tag

After washing ashore at the Horns of the South, head northwest up the rocks towards a small camp. You’ll find a Corpse Eater feasting here, so take them out and search the ledge for a body.

Pick up the dog tags found here, and don’t forget to loot the Keeper’s armor if you’re looking for better starter gear than what you have from the island.

Finding the Flooded Mine Entrance Tag

Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon Keeper tag location by the Flooded Mine entrance.

Continue heading west along the shore until you reach the ruined beach filled with wrecked ships and Drowners. The entrance to the Flooded Mine is hidden among the cliffs, and you’ll find the fallen Keeper by the burning campfire to the west.

Defeat the Drowners and Corpse Eaters here, then collect the tags from the Keeper’s remains. Your next task is to venture inside the mine itself.

    Finding the Flooded Mine Tag

Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon Keeper tag location underwater in the flooded mine, smashed between rocks.

Once inside the mines, you’ll need to fight through peasants and Corpse Eaters. Swim past the lowered portcullis, then dive under the bridge and navigate the gap in the rocks. While you’ll find several treasure chests, the true treasure is the Keeper’s body lodged underneath the rubble.

Search the Keeper for dog tags and then resurface for air. Afterward, exit the mine and proceed to your next location.

    Finding the Redcap Camp Tag

Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon Keeper tag location by a redcap hut.

South of the keep, along a narrow shoreline, you’ll encounter an encampment of Redcaps. Defeat these goblin-like foes, then enter the nearby wooden hut.

Inside, you’ll find the body of another unfortunate Keeper who fell prey to them. Gather his dog tags and leave the beach behind.

    Finding the Ravine Tag

Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon Keeper tag location in the ravine by the fort.

Between the lighthouse and the keep, a hapless Keeper lies trapped. Carefully descend into the ravine or swim along the shore to get down safely.

Loot his remains for dog tags and an Origin Potion, which can help you respec your characters and reset your skill points.

    Finding the Lighthouse Tag

Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon Keeper tag location by the rocks next to the lighthouse.

Climb the bridges leading to the lighthouse, then pause at the doors. Turn left and circle around the side to find a chest of goodies and yet another fallen Keeper.

Claim the dog tags from his body and take the treasure for yourself; after all, who else will?

    Finding Pate’s Tag

Pate presents a unique case. He’s located along the northern wall of the fort, watching over the Sunken Village. Speak to him, and he’ll ask you to read a letter for him since he can’t read himself. The contents reveal some bleak news. Be truthful with him, then wait.

A few days later, you’ll discover Pate’s body at the cliffs below his post, overlooking the sea. It seems he couldn’t cope with the news. Retrieve the dog tags and remember him.

    Finding the Sunken Village Tags

Two dog tags can be located in the Sunken Village. One is in a stone room accessed via scaffolding on the shore, while the other is on the top floor of an adjacent wooden shack.

Beware; the village is teeming with various monsters, so make sure you’re prepared to raid the remains of this ancient area to survive.

Finding the King’s Road Bridge Tag

A Keeper dead by the rocks.

To the west of the King’s Road bridge, far below the ruins, lies a large rock surrounded by cows and wolves. Here rests the body of a fallen Keeper.

Watch out for wolves on your way; make sure to collect their pelts before leaving.

    Finding the East Gate Tag

Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon Keeper tag location by Fingerless Colm, atop the East Gate.

At the East Gate, you’ll encounter Fingerless Colm. Make your way through the Gallows surrounding the keep, then climb the scaffolding to reach the gate.

Continue south to the ruins of the gate to find Fingerless Colm leaning over a body. Take him out, collect his bounty, and then retrieve the dog tags.

    Finding the Forgotten Cemetery Tag

Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon Keeper tag location by the forgotten cemetery crypt overlook.

Finally, you’ll find a Keeper in the Forgotten Cemetery crypt while completing the Dead as Dreams quest. Take the secret passage across from Yorath’s base.

Navigate through the tunnel in the crypt until you reach an alcove with a view of the main chamber. Here, you’ll discover a body hidden in the shadows. Collect the dog tags to complete your set.

  • Completing the Best Archer Build in Tainted Grail: Avalon Solved

Completing the Best Archer Build in Tainted Grail: Avalon Solved

If you’ve ever envisioned taking down foes from the shadows in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, this Archer build is exactly what you need. It transcends the usual sneak and shoot strategy. With the right combination of stats, skills, and equipment, you’ll master headshots, unleash magical arrows, and immobilize groups of enemies—all while maintaining your agility.

In the following sections, we’ll guide you through unlocking the Archer path, which attributes and skills are essential, and the best bows, armor, and accessories to acquire as you progress from early to endgame.

    Build Overview

While most archers focus on Dexterity, this build incorporates Strength to handle heavy bows like the Giant Bow and Thunderous Great Bow. It’s an adaptable, high-damage setup that balances stealth, critical hits, and area damage, all while keeping you quick and nimble with stamina and draw-speed bonuses.

This archer build favors a more assertive playstyle—targeting crucial enemies, causing freeze or bleed effects on groups, and applying continuous pressure with rapid fire. It feels more like a ranged assassin than a fragile glass cannon.

    How to Unlock the Archer

Archer Intro Dialogue Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon

To initiate the Archer archetype, pay careful attention to your dialogue choices during the initial prison sequence. When the guard inquires about your activities before capture, respond with “I was hunting.” Then follow up with “I… use the fur to make clothes.” This unlocks the Archer starting path and grants you early bonuses: +3 Archery, +3 Medium Armor, +3 Sneak, +3 Athletics, and +3 Evasion. You will also receive a significant bonus to Handcrafting (+9) and unlock leather armor recipes, setting you up with useful gear from the get-go. This solid foundation will allow you to explore Strength or Spirituality later on, depending on your chosen bow.

    Attributes

Character Screen in Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon
    Priority Attribute Why It Matters
1 Dexterity Main stat for ranged damage, attack speed, and stealthy movement.
2 Perception Boosts critical hit chance and damage, enhancing sneak attack effectiveness.
3 Endurance Increases stamina pool and recovery.
4 Strength Needed for heavy bows like the Giant Bow and improves stamina capacity.
5 Spirituality Facilitates the use of magical bows and abilities, such as Rapid Shooter’s Mixture for faster draws.
6 Practicality Enhances crafting efficiency and resource management.

This distribution allows you to wield all major bows, including the Hex, Giant, and Thunderous. Dexterity and Perception work together for remarkable crits and weak spot hits, while Endurance helps you maintain stamina during extended battles. Strength enables you to use heavy bows earlier, and investing points in Spirituality allows you to maintain Rapid Shooter’s Mixture for quick volleys. Practicality is crucial for crafting arrows on the fly and optimizing your resources in every area.

    Skills

Endurance Stamina Frequent Exercise, Gaining Momentum, Back into the Fray
Dexterity Bows Strong Arm of the Bowmaster, Marksman, Strong Back, Rack them Up, Proper Draw Techniques, Lucky Shot, Deadly Aim
Perception Stealth Silent Hunger, Cheater’s Gambit
Critical Hits Extra Lucky, Respite in Cruelty
Practicality Crafting & Trading Mercantile Skills, Reusable Resource, Crafty

When you’re ready, focus on Dexterity at the bonfire. Skills like Strong Arm of the Bow Master, Marksman, and Strong Back are essential. They enhance your bow’s damage, speed up draw time, and reduce the stamina cost per shot. Marksman also offers arrow refunds on critical hits, while Strong Back allows faster follow-up shots after eliminating enemies, making crowd control much easier.

For Perception, grab Silent Hunter to amp up sneak damage and build on critical hit bonuses early. Perks linked to critical strike chances, bonus crit damage, and bleed effects fit well with a fast and accurate playstyle, especially if you’re using the Composite or Thunderous bows. Don’t overlook Stamina on Kill from Endurance; it maintains your agility and firing rate in fights. Lastly, investing in Practicality for Reusable Resources lets you craft arrows quickly and increases damage to Ailmented Targets for elemental arrows like Chill or Burn.

If you have extra points, consider picking up Critical Aegis for added defense during crit hits, and Swift and Fierce for a boost in attack speed after dodging.

    Spells

Rogue Spells in Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon.

Even if your build isn’t primarily magical, certain spells enhance the Archer’s effectiveness. Hailstorm, a tier one cold spell, quickly applies Frost and can effectively chill enemies. This spell is excellent for weakening foes before landing powerful arrow hits and is one of the best choices for early-game play. By frequently using its light version, you can manage enemies from a safe distance.

Blood Transfusion adds sustainability to your build. The light cast applies Bleed, while the heavy version drains health from enemies to restore your own. This synergizes well with Frost effects, allowing you to soften foes and heal from the damage without switching to melee weapons or using consumables.

A powerful, albeit non-essential consumable to acquire is the Rapid Shooter’s Mixture, a potion that provides +100% bow draw speed at the cost of five mana per second. This significantly boosts your DPS, allowing for a fast barrage of arrows. Pair it with the Arcane Weaver’s Prisma, which regenerates two mana per second, and allocate a few points into Spirituality for enhanced mana capacity.

    Gear

Archer Character in Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon.

Equipment is critical for maximizing your Archer build’s effectiveness, from lightweight armor that boosts stamina and stealth to high-damage bows and accessories that enhance crit damage and reduce draw time. This section details the best armor, weapons, and jewelry to ensure you remain lethal and efficient.

    Armor

Assassin's Gloves in Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon.

In the early game, focus on medium armor pieces that enhance ranged damage and dexterity while maintaining mobility. The Hunting Set, obtainable in Act One through chests or from looted enemies, grants a useful +10% ranged damage bonus. Pair it with Archer’s Quicken Gloves to enhance bow draw speed. This combination provides decent protection (around three to four armor) along with utility for your playstyle.

As you delve deeper into the game, seek the Assassin’s Armor Set. This heavier medium armor reinforces stealth and critical damage. You can obtain parts by defeating the assassin Silent Silia at the Abandoned Stronghold in Horns of the South. This set offers a substantial +30% to Sneak Damage across all components, making it ideal for an archer focused on stealth and critical strikes.

By mid to late-game, gear that scales with your high Dexterity and Perception becomes crucial. Legendary medium sets like Waning Moon or Crow (available in Act One from reinforced chests or unique NPC drops) provide powerful conditional bonuses such as increased mana regeneration or boosts to ranged critical chance. With improved survivability and utility, these sets facilitate dodging, crowd control, and burst damage while maintaining effectiveness throughout the game.

    Weapons

Bow in Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon.

Beyond early-game bows from quests and drops, the Hex Bow is the first essential weapon to obtain, located early in a tower (the specific tower may vary with patches, so explore multiple towers near Horns of the South). This bow scales well and requires only a few points in Dexterity and Spirituality, making it ideal for early gameplay due to its reliable damage output.

Following that, the Composite Bow is well-regarded for its speed and single-target effectiveness. You can find it in the main town within an accessible tower in early Act One. Its rapid draw speed and solid scaling make this a dependable choice for regular encounters. As you progress, upgrade to the Thunderous Great Bow, which demands five Strength, four Dexterity, and four Spirituality. This bow is located at the far end of the Sunken Village, up a tower. It excels at eliminating priority targets with significant crits, especially when combined with stealth or surprise volleys.

For Area of Effect (AoE) or crowd control, consider the Giant Bow, requiring nine Strength and three Dexterity. It’s found in a chest atop the Hunter’s Camp tower. This bow is excellent for striking clustered enemies and pairs well with freeze or bleed effects. Also, pair it with the Tide Piercer, a magical hybrid bow dropped by a dungeon boss in the Screw Hideout.

This bow fires shockwaves at any distance, making it perfect for targeting flying enemies or dealing safe hits from cover.

    Jewelry and Relics

Archer's Ring in Tainted Grail Fall of Avalon.

For jewelry and relics, prioritize draw speed, critical damage, and sustainability. Start with the Perilous Orb, a ring that reduces bow draw time, obtainable in a ruined chest in Ruined Broch. Another strong option is the Archer’s Ring, enhancing ranged critical hits, which you can find on a shipwreck off the coast of Asylum Island.

If you miss out on that ring, the Ring of Toughness is a worthy alternative, automatically awarded upon leaving the Asylum. It helps manage your encumbrance and stamina while your stats develop.

A rare but powerful ring is the Marksman’s Treasure, which boosts ranged critical chance by 25%.

For amulets early in the game, Kol’s Finger Necklace provides solid bonuses for mana and draw speed. Later, you can upgrade to the Arcane Weaver’s Prisma, which regenerates two mana per second to sustain the Rapid Shooter’s Mixture potion. This combination ensures your build maintains consistent rapid-fire uptime without relying heavily on consumables.

Regarding relics, the Starborn Egg offers a 10% boost to weapon damage overall and can be found in a hidden chest situated within the Ancient Cave. It’s one of the simplest ways to boost your damage output. Another solid choice is the Blood-Tainted Shell, which restores ten HP after every kill. This relic is dropped by a boss deep in the Blood Lake dungeon and is useful for surviving tougher encounters without frequently using potions.

  • Completing the Raven Rescue in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

Completing the Raven Rescue in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon unfolds its central storyline as players explore different regions, each unveiling more about the overarching tale and its characters. In the beginning, players focus on getting acclimated to the game mechanics and understanding their role in this world, especially their connection to King Arthur and how they can help him recover his lost memories.

Upon reaching the third region, the adventure grows in scope as you seek the final piece of Arthur’s memory. This task proves challenging, requiring you to persuade various tribes to attend the Moot. Only by gathering their support can you secure the last piece needed to progress.

How to Start the Flight Delayed Quest

As part of the main quest known as Sleep That Never Comes from the Theud tribe, you are tasked with easing the struggles of villagers trapped in the Dreaming, unable to access the Mother’s Chamber. One such villager is Jarnsvor, who you’ll find at the far end of the Dreaming near a ledge. Talk to him to uncover the cause of his distress.

Jarnsvor reveals that he is worried about his friend, a raven, whom he forgot to release from its cage. This moment marks the beginning of your quest to help him free the bird, triggering the Flight Delayed quest.

How to Complete the Flight Delayed Quest

Now that you understand the task at hand, your first move is to exit the Dreaming and return to the real world. Make your way past Yngvi’s house toward your objective marker; you’ll spot the birdcage from afar.

Approach the cage and use Jarnsvor’s Key to unlock it, which will set the raven free.

Now that the task is complete, return to the Dreaming and speak with Jarnsvor. After informing him that you freed the bird and showing proof, he will express his gratitude, lifting the burden he carried and concluding the quest.

  • Completing Vilekin in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

Completing Vilekin in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

In Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, the realm of Avalon is crumbling under the influences of the Red Death and the Wyrdness. These forces have wreaked havoc throughout the land, making daily life perilous. Entire regions are unstable, and people—from families to entire communities—find themselves in constant danger, facing monsters and threats everywhere.

As you pursue the main storyline and try to piece back together Arthur’s memories, your mission becomes clear: locate three essential artifacts connected to his history. The last and most challenging item is hidden in the Forlorn Swords, but acquiring it won’t be straightforward. You’ll need to build alliances and negotiate support to succeed.

How to Start the Easy Prey Quest

If you’ve advanced to Act 3 in the endgame, you must persuade all the tribes of Forlorn Swords to participate in the Moot. Each tribe requires you to complete an extensive quest to win their support.

One of the tribes available is Theud, situated southwest on the map.

When you first talk to Yngvi, she’ll explain the Dreaming and the Mother. But before you can persuade her, you must assist the tribe’s members within the Dreaming to lessen their struggles.

Among these individuals is Alfhild. When you speak with her, she will ask you to eliminate a castaway from the Theud village named Vilekin.

How to Complete the Easy Prey Quest

Vilekin is found in the Dreaming, just to the east. Head over there and look for some stairs. At the top, take the left path that leads you to a dead end where he awaits.

As you approach him, he will attack, and the area will become restricted, leaving you with little room to maneuver. Be prepared for a close-quarters battle.

Fighting Vilekin isn’t too challenging since he has only a few slow melee combos that are easy to predict.

It’s advisable to have a shield handy, or if you’re confident in your dodging skills, that could work as well. Given the confined space, a ranged strategy may not be effective, so stick with a melee weapon.

Player reporting to Alfhild at the completion of the quest

After defeating Vilekin, return to Alfhild to inform her that the task is complete. This will wrap up the Easy Prey quest, and you’ll be able to tackle the remaining challenges facing Theud.

  • Completing Tainted Grail: Solving Brother Ismat’s Book Return

Completing Tainted Grail: Solving Brother Ismat’s Book Return

As you explore the various areas in Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, you’ll frequently meet characters who require assistance with a range of tasks, whether it’s finding someone, retrieving an item, or investigating matters they can’t manage on their own.

Some quests are more intriguing than others, especially when they take unexpected twists. For instance, if you’ve encountered Vrell, you know she owns a bookstore. With the chaos caused by the Red Death, discovering that someone is stealing books is the last thing you’d anticipate. Yet, that’s exactly the situation.

How to Begin the Temptation Quest

After you finish the A Delicate Matter quest and some time passes, visit Vrell at her bookstore and have a chat with her. You’ll find out that some extremely valuable books have gone missing, and she needs your help to get them back.

Your first lead is to talk to Walter, a Kamelotian soldier who is a big fan of the stolen books. He can be found just outside her shop.

When you engage with him, he will insist he had nothing to do with the theft but will direct you to a priest who may be involved, despite his usual disdain for such literature.

How to Complete the Temptation Quest

Head to the priest’s home, located just northwest of the city. When you enter the house, you’ll find the priest muttering to himself.

Important: DO NOT TALK TO HIM YET. Before you do, you must read six specific books in his house:

    1. Vrell’s Proof of Delivery – located under the table on the left.
    2. A Sermon on Purity and Temperance and A Clarification on Purity and Temperance – both found on a shelf just past the table on the left.
    3. A Sermon on the Paths of Discipline – sitting on some crates to the right.
    4. Another version of A Sermon on the Paths of Discipline – on the floor just to the right of the priest.
    5. A Sermon on Purity and Temperance – in the bedroom to the right on a small table.

Once you’ve read all these books, you can finally interact with Brother Ismat. During your conversation, you need to get him to confirm he has the stolen books. You also have to choose the right dialogue options when prompted, or the quest may fail.

Here are the essential dialogue choices you need to make:

    • "But what about: Yet it is not the act of the hand that condemns, but the heart that guides it astray."
    • "Speaking on these matters, you seem to adopt an accusatory tone."
    • "I think you allocate sanctity to the wrong things… but it is crucial to find holiness where it truly resides and, at the same time, discern where excessive zeal is unnecessary!"
    • "But is it really for you to judge? The same sermon says: Yet the Prophet’s Judgment is not swift, but discerning and full of care and justice at the same time."
    • "I believe that what people do with their own bodies is their own business."
    • "I’ve met people falling into temptation with good hearts, doing lots of good things for others."

If you select the correct responses and follow the steps accurately, you will convince Brother Ismat to return the books. Return to Vrell to report your success. You have the option to either share the truth about what happened or tell her a falsehood; either way, the quest concludes with Vrell getting her cherished books back.

  • Completing the Path: Solving Quests in Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon

Completing the Path: Solving Quests in Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon

As you explore the various regions in Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, you’ll frequently encounter characters who need your assistance. They might ask you to defeat someone, retrieve an item, or conduct an investigation.

Not every quest will be obvious, though. You might come across a fascinating character, only to discover that they require your help after engaging in conversation. A good example of this is the “Forging a Path” quest, where you find a soldier in distress and initially can’t tell how to assist him.

How to Start the “Forging a Path” Quest

Once you arrive in Cuanacht, head to the main city hospital, located to the north, and go inside. You’ll find several patients, but the key person to speak to is a Kamelot Scout on the left side.

When you talk to him, he may seem agitated or traumatized, making dialogue difficult. Instead, approach the hospital owner, Ailei, to gather more information about the scout’s situation.

Unfortunately, she won’t know the exact details of what happened, but she will suggest that you speak to Denholm to gain more insight. This interaction kicks off the “Forging a Path” quest.

How to Complete the “Forging a Path” Quest

Denholm is located just west of the hospital at his usual spot. Approach him, and he will reveal that the scout likely encountered the Wyrdness during his mission and is now somewhat disoriented, leaving you with little to do directly for him.

What troubles Denholm more is that the scout left his task unfinished, and he asks you to complete it. Your job is to head over to the Iron Gate to make sure it’s secured.

Make your way there, and you won’t need to battle any enemies along the path; simply reach the Iron Gate.

Upon arriving at the Iron Gate, you’ll meet the Gatekeeper. Talk to him to confirm that the route is safe. He will inform you that while all seems clear, the Iron Gate itself is obstructed by rocks, preventing further progress. At this point, you can return to Denholm to report your findings.

Once you report back to Denholm in Cuanacht, the quest will be marked as complete.

  • Completing the Hunt for Undead Skeletons in Tainted Grail

As you explore the world of Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, you’ll run into a variety of foes, including basic bandits, undead skeletons, and much more. To save you the trouble of searching aimlessly for skeletons, we’ve pinpointed the top location for discovering them in the game.

Fortunately, you won’t have to venture far from where you start—in fact, we’ll be focusing on the Horns of the South for these undead creatures. Whether you’re on the lookout for Skulls and Bones for crafting or just want a dependable spot to try out new builds against multiple enemies, this area is perfect for you.

What Are Skeletons and What Do They Drop?

Skeletons, also referred to as the undead, are the reanimated bodies of the long-deceased. They are naturally hostile and will attack without hesitation.

You can find various weapons and gear among their remains, but more importantly, they drop two key crafting materials: Skulls and Bones.

Wondering why you should hunt these? Skulls and Bones are crucial for your crafting needs, making it wise to gather them as you progress. They are especially valuable during the Revenant’s Armor quest.

Once you start the main quest with Fearghas and craft the Drowner, Festering, and Corpse Eater Armor for Osbryht, you’ll be able to craft the Revenant Armor.

What Are the Best Locations to Find Undead Skeletons?

Skeletons and other enemies spawn in higher numbers at specific hotspots, though you may occasionally encounter them scattered around at night. While they can be found in several places throughout the game, the best spot to encounter undead skeletons is the Forgotten Cemetery in the western-central part of the Horns of the South.

This area is a key location in a quest that requires you to pass through on your way to the Ancient Crypt, so you’re likely to discover it early on.

If you’d like to manage your battles better, here are some specific spawn points to keep in mind:

    • Three skeletons usually appear in the northwestern section of the cemetery.
    • Two to three skeletons are found near the Ancient Crypt, with two often stationed at the entrance and one wandering in from the east.
    • Four to five skeletons spawn in the central-eastern part of the cemetery, close to the Ancient Crypt.
    • At least one skeleton is always on guard at the southern entrance of the Forgotten Cemetery.

Once you clear the area, these enemies will respawn after a certain time. Feel free to take on some side quests or let some time pass by resting or fast traveling to distant locations to facilitate the refresh.

  • Completing the Grotto of the First Men in Tainted Grail

In Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, there’s plenty to explore and discover. You can assist farmers in locating their missing spouses or battle menacing creatures that haunt the night. Sometimes, you’ll be tasked with aiding researchers like Imram in uncovering the secrets of the past.

This guide will help you connect with Imram and lead you to the ancient grotto he’s interested in. Within its depths, you’ll uncover fascinating lore about the Fore-Dwellers and the early inhabitants of Avalon, long before King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Everything you need to navigate this adventure is detailed below, so let’s dive in!

How to Begin the First Men Quest

To kick off this quest, talk to Imram at Vrell’s bookshop in the central area of Cuanacht. Inquire about his research and you’ll find out he’s searching for a particular grotto mentioned in ancient lore—a cave believed to be home to Avalon’s first inhabitants. He’s eager for more information.

Sadly, he suffered injuries during his travels and can’t make the trek himself. However, since you took the time to listen to his story, he trusts you with this mission.

Location of the Grotto of the First Men

To discover the grotto, head to the Forlorn Swords, located east of Cuanacht. You’ll find it in the northern part of the area, east of the two gates leading into Cuanacht. Traverse the snow and defeat the undead guarding the entrance.

The grotto can be located by examining the rocks to the northeast. Carefully search for a gap and enter the grotto to begin your exploration.

Locating the Artifact in the Grotto of the First Men

Inside the grotto, you can either swim through the water or cross a gap to venture deeper into the cave. The cave walls are adorned with drawings that guide you to an altar featuring a construct with four arms. When it detects your presence, it will engage you in conversation.

Although it cannot answer all of your questions, feel free to ask as many as you’d like.

Once your discussion concludes, the construct will gift you what appears to be a Fore-Dweller skull. Return to Imram at the bookstore and share everything you’ve experienced. He will express his gratitude and promise to make the journey himself someday.

  • Completing Gawain in Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon Strategies

Completing Gawain in Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon Strategies

Sure! Here’s a uniquely rephrased version in American English:

In Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, discovering hidden secrets can be very rewarding. These secrets come in various forms, such as concealed characters, easily overlooked questlines, or uncharted locations.

If you tend to explore extensively in open-world games, you’re likely to encounter spots that you can interact with, though you may need to reach a certain point in the narrative first. This applies to the Tomb of Sir Gawain. You can find this location early on when Act 2 begins, but its secrets will only be revealed later on.

How to Initiate the "His Heart Was Greener Than Mine" Quest

Once you finish Act 2 and have secured the Shield of Arthur, you’ll gain access to several hidden tombs.

One of them is Sir Gawain’s Tomb, situated just west of Cuanacht’s main city. However, you might easily overlook its entrance because it’s located on a rocky ledge by the river.

Upon locating the door, you’ll notice a panel with a shield icon to the right. Interact with this panel to unlock the tomb’s entry.

    Note:

Before stepping inside, ensure you’re adequately equipped and at a higher level to tackle this quest.

How to Complete the "His Heart Was Greener Than Mine" Quest

    Defeating Sir Bertilak

Inside the tomb, follow the sole path until you reach a circular area featuring a character. Upon interacting with them, you’ll learn they need your assistance to bring peace to their souls, which leads to a battle.

Your first boss encounter is with Sir Bertilak. He wields a two-handed axe and is highly aggressive in combat, delivering powerful combos. He is skilled at dodging many of your hits and is formidable when countering.

From a distance, he can unleash waves of magic that will damage you, along with a spell that can knock you back.

The key to winning this fight is constant repositioning and primarily utilizing magic instead of melee attacks, as Sir Bertilak excels in close combat. Therefore, maintaining a safe distance and casting spells while dodging or blocking his assaults is your best strategy.

    Warning:

Be cautious not to engage the character sitting in the chair, who is Gawain, before defeating Bertilak, as this may trigger both fights prematurely.

    Defeating Sir Gawain

Once you overcome Sir Bertilak, you will face a second boss: Sir Gawain himself. Gawain uses a two-handed sword that inflicts poison buildup and shares a similar attack pattern with Bertilak.

However, he possesses a fireball spell, making him more dangerous overall. The same tactics apply here; keep your distance, evade his attacks, and focus on magical combat.

    Tip:

After finishing the quest, don’t forget to loot both bodies to acquire their armor sets and weapons.

    Additional Note:

You can undertake this quest whenever you feel ready. Don’t worry if you struggle initially or take high damage. It’s advisable to complete other quests, enhance your stats, and upgrade your gear to improve your chances.

Completing Your Journey to the Alchemist Guild in Tainted Grail

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon may initially seem straightforward, with its objectives clearly presented. However, as you dig deeper, you’ll discover elements that stray from the main storyline.

Optional locations, side characters, and quests can easily be overlooked if you don’t take the time to explore. Certain NPCs appear only in specific areas, and some story arcs will only unfold through exploration. For instance, you can join the Alchemist Guild, but only after fulfilling certain hidden requirements that the game doesn’t explicitly outline.

How to Start the Whispers in the Dark Quest

To kick off the Whispers in the Dark quest, you first need to locate a secret character named Taranis within a cave. Head north in the Horns of the South, where you’ll notice a path lined with stone statues along the way.

If you follow this path, you’ll arrive at a large door leading to the Mistbearer’s Den. Once inside, Taranis will be right in front of you.

When you approach him, he’ll caution you that no one has managed to traverse the path before him, but you’re not just anyone.

You can reassure him that you’ll clear the way and agree to join the collaboration he suggests, which will trigger the quest.

    How to Defeat Mistbearer

Close to Taranis, you’ll find a panel to interact with, which will unlock the path deeper into Mistbearer’s Den.

Continue through the cave until you reach a mysterious altar at the base of a giant tree.

Interact with the altar, and you’ll be transported to a circular arena where you will face the boss, Mistbearer.

As suggested by his name, the Mistbearer will create mist throughout the arena, so it’s wise to avoid it. He will also s summon illusions of himself along with minions to assist him during the battle. Your priority should be to eliminate these distractions while dealing damage to him.

Using fire spells is particularly effective; if you have one, utilize it to inflict burn damage over time. If you possess a spell that can summon minion allies, deploy it to help divert attention from you while you focus on the boss.

Utilizing the rocks scattered around the arena can provide cover if you need to heal or regenerate stamina.

How to Complete the Whispers in the Dark Quest

After defeating the Mistbearer, a portal door will appear, allowing you to return to the real world. From there, head back to Taranis and talk to him.

Let him know that you’ve slain the Mistbearer and present the remains as proof. He’ll express his gratitude and reward you for your efforts, officially welcoming you into the Alchemist Guild.
