How to Add Custom Survivor Characters in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check

You can now create custom characters in Quarantine Zone: The Last Check and select their symptoms yourself. This new feature is available with the full release of the zombie apocalypse checkpoint simulator, and anyone can participate.

If you have a Twitch account, you can invite followers to add their own characters or join a live stream to create a survivor with custom symptoms. Here’s how to make your own custom survivor characters:

    1. Create a Twitch account if you don’t already have one.
    2. Launch Quarantine Zone: The Last Check.
    3. Link your Twitch account to your game account from the main menu.
    4. Find your favorite Twitch streamer playing Quarantine Zone.
    5. Look for the QZ icon (a green square logo, sometimes with a +1 badge).
    6. Click the icon and choose three symptoms for your character.
    7. Hit Save and wait. Your character will arrive at the checkpoint the next day, depending on how many characters others are adding.

You can select any three symptoms, including contraband, to make diagnosis easier or more challenging. Depending on the streamer’s settings, your Twitch username may be displayed with your character, making it easy to recognize when the symptoms are checked.

This feature is only available during streams in Endless Mode, so players going through the campaign mode won’t have access to custom symptoms.

You can add a new character once your current one passes through the checkpoint. Adding a new character before yours arrives might change your existing character’s symptoms.

To enable custom characters on Twitch:

    1. Create and log into Twitch.
    2. Open Quarantine Zone: The Last Check.
    3. Link your Twitch account in the game’s main menu.
    4. Before streaming, go into settings and under Gameplay, find the Twitch section.
    5. Enable Twitch features and decide whether you want followers’ usernames visible; enabling them enhances engagement.

As followers add their custom characters, they will be visible at the next day’s checkpoint for you to scan and diagnose. You can keep receiving new characters with unique symptoms throughout the game, providing a diverse range of infected, sick, or safe survivors to manage.

Followed characters may also be kept in a cage as zombie pets during gameplay, periodically fed human remains, for an extra touch of fun and engagement.

  • Top Dustin Perk Builds for Completing and Solving in Dead by Daylight

Top Dustin Perk Builds for Completing and Solving in Dead by Daylight

The highly anticipated second chapter of Stranger Things has been added to Dead by Daylight, introducing two new Survivors—Dustin Henderson and Eleven—and a new Killer known as The First, or Vecna. Each of these characters comes with three unique perks that players can use to build effective and enjoyable gameplay strategies.

Dustin Henderson’s perks are designed to leverage his quick thinking and friendly nature to improve team performance. Here’s what you need to know about his perks and some suggested builds:

    Dustin’s Unique Perks

    • Bada Bada Boom: Allows you to set a trap at a window that slows the Killer when they vault. Activate it by repairing at least 20% of a generator, then placing the trap. The trap lasts for 60 seconds or until the Killer vaults the window, causing a 50% Hindered effect on the Killer for six seconds.

    • Change Of Plan: Lets you convert a toolbox into a med kit inside a locker. To use it effectively, pair it with perks like Built To Last to refill your toolbox multiple times. Use high-rarity toolboxes and add-ons, such as Engineer’s Toolbox with Socket Swivels and a Wire Spool, to maximize repair speed and versatility.

    • Teamwork: Full Circuit: Boosts repair speed and skill check zones when repairing with others. Teaming up with perks like Prove Thyself and De Ja Vu amplifies this effect, making your generator repairs quicker and more efficient.

Combining Bada Bada Boom with trap perks like Chemical Trap, Wire Tap, and Blast Mine creates a trap-focused build. This combo is especially strong because all these perks activate during generator repair, allowing you to slow down the Killer while sanding a possible escape.

    Bada Bada Boom Build

This build emphasizes setting traps and using tactical movement to slow down the Killer while providing an escape route. Pairing Bada Bada Boom with Chemical Trap increases your options to hinder the Killer during loops. Adding a perk like Champion Of Light, which blinds the Killer when using a flashlight, and Sprint Burst to quickly escape when needed, creates a versatile and disruptive setup.

    Perks:

    Perk Description How to Use
Bada Bada Boom Place a trap at a window after repairing 20%; slows Killer. Repair at least 20%, then set the trap at a window.
Chemical Trap Plant a trap on a generator after 20% repair; blinds Killer. Repair 20%, then place on generator.
Champion Of Light Blind Killer when flashing light; gain speed boost. Use flashlight to blind Killer; benefit from speed boost.
Sprint Burst Sprint for a short burst; gain Haste after starting to run. Use when Killer is slowed or blinded to create distance.

    Change Of Plan Build

This perk enables you to turn a toolbox into a med kit when entering a locker, which can be strategically timed to maximize healing or disruption. To get the most out of the toolbox, pair it with Built To Last, which allows refilling the toolbox in lockers, and ensure you select high-rarity toolboxes, such as the Engineer’s with Socket Swivels and Wire Spool, for faster repairs.

When your toolbox is used up, simply pull into a locker and activate Change Of Plan to swap it for a med kit. Use the med kit to heal yourself or teammates, and benefit from perks like Bite The Bullet, which silences any noise cues when healing.

    Perks:

    Perk Description Usage
Change Of Plan Convert toolbox to med kit twice; includes all item add-ons. Use in lockers after repairing; increase flexibility.
Built To Last Refill a used item in a locker multiple times over the match. Maximize toolbox usage with rare or high-quality add-ons.
Bite The Bullet Healing is silent and full recovery; no noise cues. Heal self or others without alerting Killer.
Blast Mine Set a trap that stuns and blinds the Killer when they kick generator. Activate after about 40% repair; plant on a generator.

    Teamwork: Full Circuit Build

This setup focuses on increasing repair efficiency and teamwork. Pairing Full Circuit with perks like Stake Out and Fast Track allows your team to improve skill check success and gain bonus repair progress. Such synergy accelerates generator completion and keeps your team coordinated.

    Perks:

    Perk Description How it helps
Teamwork: Full Circuit Increases skill check zones and repair speed when working with others. Enhances teamwork, leading to faster generators.
Stake Out Gains tokens in Killer’s terror radius; converts to great skill checks. Improves skill check success during repairs.
Fast Track Gains tokens per hooked teammate; boosts repair progress with tokens. Adds bonus repair speed when working on generators.
Prove Thyself Boosts repair speed for teammates working nearby. Encourages team repairs, speeding up the process.

These perks allow your team to work more effectively together, making it easier to repair generators quickly and stay ahead of the Killer’s pursuit.

  • Top Tips for Completing Gear in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

Top Tips for Completing Gear in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor involves a lot of quick decisions that impact your success. Upgrading your skills and mastering movement are crucial to staying alive and progressing effectively.

Choosing the right gear is another important choice, but it’s not urgent. You gather gear during a run, then decide what to equip between missions. This gives you plenty of time to plan and select the best gear for your strategy.

    Gear Drops Are Mostly Random

In Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, gear drops are mostly left to chance. Most runs will reward you with gear, although some situations offer more reliable gear drops. You can increase your chances by aiming to extend each stage, taking on enemies with weapons suited for large groups, and boosting your movement speed to stay longer in levels.

Increase Gear Level by Completing Milestones

The quality of gear you receive depends on your hazard level before starting a mission and how much you’ve upgraded your Gear Level through milestones. Upgrading gear level can be achieved by completing high-difficulty Dives, using different Class Mods, finishing Masteries, and other in-game activities.

    Missions That Always Reward Gear

Certain missions always give gear upon completion, though they aren’t easy to farm repeatedly.

    • Vanguard Contracts: Daily missions that reward gear, featuring random mutators each time.
    • Lethal Operations: Weekly missions with tough mutators, offering more credits and higher-tier gear.

While these missions aren’t the best for consistent farming, they guarantee gear of a certain quality over time, making them a steady way to build up your inventory.

  • Tips and Tricks for Solving Escort Duties in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

Tips and Tricks for Solving Escort Duties in Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a fresh take on the classic co-op mining shooter. In this version, you face waves of alien enemies while collecting resources, upgrading your weapons, and unlocking new perks. But not every mission is just about fighting bugs or gathering minerals until you’re full. Sometimes, you need to protect something delicate and important.

When you reach Player Rank 10, you’ll unlock Escort Duties. These missions are among the most intense in the game. Your goal is to protect a fragile object, like a piece of equipment, as it moves through hostile areas. Success isn’t only about staying alive; you also need to ensure the objective reaches its destination intact.

    What Are Escort Duties?

Escort missions challenge you to guide and defend a key item, such as a Drilldozer B0B-33, through dangerous territory. Unlike regular missions, your focus isn’t just on surviving but making sure the object makes it safely to the end. The Drilldozer is critical because it helps break through tough rock layers to access hidden resources or underground tech. Naturally, the local creatures aren’t happy about you disturbing their land, so waves of enemies will attack to protect their home. While these missions are tough, there are strategies to make them more manageable.

    Tips for Completing Escort Duties

    Keep close to the asset

Your primary task is keeping the Drilldozer safe. Don’t wander too far away, or you risk leaving it vulnerable. If the Dozer’s health drops to zero, the mission ends in failure.

    Control the crowd

Using weapons with splash damage, mines, or turrets is very effective. These tools can slow down and weaken enemy waves, giving the Dozer more time to do its job and reducing the chance it takes damage.

    Balance repairs and firepower

Sometimes, fixing the Dozer is more important than attacking enemies. Whenever you can, focus on repairing the machine to keep it alive. The Dozer’s front side tends to take the first hits, then the sides, and finally the back. Prioritize repairs accordingly.

    Remember to resupply

Escort missions use a lot of ammo quickly. It’s important to resupply before running out, so keep an eye out for supply beacons and alerts at the top of your screen warning you of needed supplies.

While more challenging than most missions, Escort Duties give you valuable rewards and often lead to critical objectives. Successfully completing an escort run feels like a real achievement, and the minerals and experience points earned make it worth the effort.

    • This crash marks the first incident involving Boeing’s Dreamliner model.
    • There is only one known survivor from the flight, currently hospitalized.
    • Local news outlets indicate that up to 24 additional fatalities may have occurred on the ground.

Rescue teams are actively searching for missing individuals and aircraft debris following a devastating crash of an Air India flight, which collided with a medical college hostel in Ahmedabad, leading to over 260 fatalities—making it one of the worst aviation disasters in a decade.

The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which had 242 passengers on board and was bound for Gatwick Airport near London, had only one survivor following the crash during lunch hour.

Additionally, there have been casualties on the ground, with local news reporting up to 24 deaths; however, Reuters has not confirmed these figures. Officials continue to search for individuals who may still be unaccounted for on the ground.

Emergency responders sifted through the wreckage throughout the night, looking for airplane parts that might provide insight into the crash’s cause shortly after takeoff.

The Hindustan Times reported that one of the aircraft’s black boxes has been located, although Reuters has yet to verify this information and details remain unclear on whether it is the flight data recorder or cockpit voice recorder.

Local residents noted that the hostel constructed for medical residents had just been finished a year prior and was not fully occupied at the time of the incident.

“We were at home when we heard a tremendous sound, resembling a large explosion. Then we witnessed thick black smoke covering the entire area,” recounted 63-year-old Nitin Joshi, a long-time resident.

CCTV footage captured the aircraft taking off above residential buildings before disappearing from view, followed by a large fireball in the sky.

Fragments of the plane were scattered across the smoldering hostel, with the aircraft’s tail visible atop the structure.

Air India confirmed that the sole survivor, a British citizen, is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

The survivor recounted to Indian media how a loud noise erupted shortly after the aircraft, designated Flight AI171, took off.

Vidhi Chaudhary, a senior police official, stated on Thursday that the updated death count had surpassed 240, correcting an earlier estimate of 294 that included duplicated body parts.

Among the deceased was Vijay Rupani, the former Chief Minister of Gujarat, the state where Ahmedabad is located.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is from Gujarat, visited the crash site, while Air India’s CEO Campbell Wilson arrived shortly afterward.

The company indicated that a thorough investigation would take time. Boeing has announced that a team of specialists is prepared to assist in the inquiry.

This incident marks the first crash of a Dreamliner, a wide-body aircraft that has been in commercial operation since 2011, according to the Aviation Safety Network.

The aircraft involved in this tragedy was delivered to Air India in January 2014, after first flying in 2013, as reported by Flightradar24.

The last fatal aviation accident in India, now the third-largest aviation market globally and the fastest-growing, occurred in 2020 and involved Air India Express, the airline’s budget subsidiary.

Air India, once state-owned, was acquired by the Tata Group in 2022 and merged with Vistara—a joint venture with Singapore Airlines—in 2024.

AHMEDABAD: A passenger plane bound for London crashed in the Indian city of Ahmedabad on Thursday, leaving only one known survivor among the 242 people on board. The aircraft struck buildings that housed doctors and their families.

While initial fears suggested all passengers had perished, state health official Dhananjay Dwivedi confirmed to AFP that there was one survivor: Ramesh Viswashkumar, who was hospitalized following the incident.

The British national, Ramesh, sustained “impact injuries” to his chest, eyes, and feet and is currently undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital, Asarwa, in Ahmedabad.

“About thirty seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise, and then the plane went down,” Ramesh Viswashkumar recounted from his hospital bed to the Hindustan Times, showcasing his boarding pass for seat 11A.

He mentioned that his brother, Ajay, was seated elsewhere in the plane. “He was traveling with me, and I can’t find him. Please help me locate him,” he pleaded.

“This tragedy in Ahmedabad has left us shocked and heartbroken beyond words,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated following the crash of Air India flight 171 shortly after take-off.

“One half of the plane collided with a residential building where doctors lived with their families,” remarked Krishna, a doctor who chose not to provide his full name.

“The nose and front wheel of the aircraft landed on the canteen building, where students were having lunch,” he added.

India’s Civil Aviation Authority stated that there were 242 individuals on board, including two pilots and ten cabin crew members.

According to Air India, the flight included 169 Indian passengers, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian en route to London’s Gatwick Airport.
