Grounded 2: Discover the Two Acorn Locations | GamesRadar+

In Grounded 2, Acorns are gathered for both Acorn Shells and Acorn Tops, which are essential for crafting a variety of items such as armor, ammunition, some types of food, and parts for your base. You’ll usually find Acorns near the big trees in certain spots across the map, especially close to the edges of the park. The most reliable places to look are in the southwestern and northwestern areas—specifically in The Entrance and Pine Hill regions. These Acorns grow under large oak trees that are found in these corners, and the closer you get to these trees, the more likely you are to find them.

To collect an Acorn, you’ll need a level 1 Omni-Tool Hammer, which is one of the first upgrades you can unlock. When you hit the Acorn with this hammer, it will break apart, dropping several Acorn Shells and sometimes an Acorn Top—though the latter is not guaranteed. Keep in mind, the areas where Acorns are most common are a bit more dangerous than the starting zone, with threats like Spiderlings and Orb Weaver Jr. spiders nearby.

Acorns appear in their spawn zones every 24 hours, so even if you clear out a region, more will eventually reappear. Use the Resource Scanner on your map to help locate specific spots with Acorns once you’re nearby.

  • Is it possible to boost inventory in Dune Awakening?

Is it possible to boost inventory in Dune Awakening?

Your starting inventory in Dune Awakening is limited to 35 slots and can hold up to 175 pounds, which is decent but feels small when you’re on long trips collecting lots of resources. Right now, there’s no option to directly boost your inventory slots or weight capacity in the game. However, you can increase how many items you can carry by upgrading your vehicles’ storage. Building larger Inventory Modules for your vehicles and using them frequently helps move more items at once.

Most vehicles in Dune Awakening come with built-in storage that you can expand by adding an Inventory module, which you research and then craft in the Vehicle Fabricator. Keep in mind, any vehicle carrying items can’t be stored on you using the Vehicle Backup Tool. You need to empty its cargo before storing or retrieving it. If you find a safe spot—like outside a bandit camp or near a crashed ship—you can leave your vehicle there, fill it with loot, and then bring the items back to your main base.

It’s not clear if the game will add ways to increase inventory limits in the future. The limited inventory seems intentional, fitting the survival theme that emphasizes difficult choices and struggle.

  • Unlocking Every Vehicle in Dune Awakening

Unlocking Every Vehicle in Dune Awakening

To get the first vehicle in Dune Awakening, known as the Sandbike, you need to reach a specific point in the game before it becomes available through a proper mission. The Sandbike isn’t just a fun way to get around—it’s also crucial for crossing vast desert areas before giant sandworms can catch up and attack. To do this, you’ll need to gather the necessary parts and assemble the vehicle. Initially, you’ll craft a basic MK1 prototype, which you can upgrade and replace with newer vehicles as you progress further into the game.

But let’s start with the essentials. Here’s how to unlock the Sandbike in Dune Awakening, the steps to build it, and what to keep in mind when using it during gameplay. The last thing you want is to build one only to lose it right away.

How to unlock and build all vehicles in Dune Awakening

There are several different vehicles in the game, some easier to unlock than others. Here’s a list of all available vehicles and how to get them, in the order of access:

    • Sandbike: A small, fast vehicle designed for one or two players.
How to get: Complete the “Across the Gap” mission to unlock the research. Gather all parts in a Fabricator and assemble with a Welding Torch.

    • Buggy: A more durable ground vehicle for four players.
How to get: Research 15 Intel points in the “Steel” tier under the Vehicles section. Build all parts in the Vehicle Fabricator and assemble with the Welding Torch.

    • Treadwheel: A quicker vehicle for one or two players with better control and less risk of attracting worms.
How to get: Complete the “Secrets of the Past” mission to unlock research in the “Aluminium” tier of the Vehicles section. Craft all components in a Vehicle Fabricator and assemble with a Welding Torch.

    • Scout Ornithopter: The smallest flying vehicle in the game.
How to get: Research 30 Intel points in the “Aluminium” tier in the Vehicles section. Build all parts in the Vehicle Fabricator and assemble with a Welding Torch.

    • Assault Ornithopter: A stronger version with more combat options.
How to get: Research 45 Intel points in the “Duraluminum” tier of the Vehicles section. Craft all components and assemble as above.

    • Sandcrawler: A large, slow vehicle for up to two players, mainly used for spice harvesting.
How to get: Research 60 Intel points at the “Plastanium” tier, then build all parts in the Advanced Vehicle Fabricator and assemble.

    • Carrier Ornithopter: A huge flying vehicle meant for transporting cargo and other vehicles over long distances.
How to get: Similar to the Sandcrawler, research 60 Intel points at the “Plastanium” tier, then craft and assemble.

Remember, there are many variants, upgrades, and modifications you can add to these vehicles once you unlock them. Components can often be bought from vendors, making it easier than crafting everything yourself. A good place for this is the Arrakeen hub area.

    Repairing Vehicles

All vehicles can suffer damage and need repairs. You can either dismantle the vehicle and replace damaged parts with new ones using a Welding Torch or craft Welding Wire from scavenged metal components at your Fabricator. To fix a vehicle, access it and switch to repair mode. The damaged parts can then be repaired by using Welding Wire, which reduces the repair cost.

If you want more tips on the game, including how to get started or details on the different game features, there are plenty of resources available to help you navigate the world of Arrakis.

  • Top Dune Awakening Classes & Character Customization Tips

Top Dune Awakening Classes & Character Customization Tips

The character creation process in Dune Awakening involves choosing your Mentor, Homeworld, and Caste, along with customizing your character’s appearance. But how important are these choices, and what do they influence? Some options are mainly for role-playing and don’t significantly affect gameplay, while others can have a notable impact, especially early on.

To help you decide, we’ve broken down the best choices during character creation and explained how your Homeworld, Caste, and Mentor can shape your experience.

Top Class Choices in Dune Awakening Character Creation

If you’re creating your character, here are some recommended choices:

    • Homeworld: Giedi Prime or Caladan
    • Caste: Bondsman
    • Mentor/Class: Bene Gesserit

(See the images for a visual look at character creation options.)

When selecting these, keep in mind that the Homeworld and Caste don’t drastically change gameplay but can influence dialogues and interactions. The Mentor, however, is more impactful since it determines your starting skills, access to certain abilities, and your initial class.

How Much Do These Choices Matter?

Among these options, the Mentor is the most critical. Your choice of Mentor sets your starting skill tree and abilities, essentially defining your class and play style. Later, you can unlock other classes, but the Mentor impacts your early skills and strategies.

    Choosing Your Homeworld

Dune Awakening offers five Homeworlds, each with unique traits and emotes:

    • Giedi Prime: Deception trait, Harkonnen Curse emote
    • Caladan: Honorable trait, Atreides Salute
    • Chusuk: Cultured trait, Chusuk Music
    • Kaitain: Political trait, Kaitain Bow
    • Ix: Technologist trait, Ixian Secret

For gameplay, there’s no clear best. The traits and emotes are mainly for flavor. That said, starting on Giedi Prime or Caladan might give a slight edge since they align with the early factions you’ll encounter—the Harkonnens and the Atreides. Having a connection here can smooth initial interactions, but overall, the choice isn’t critical.

    Selecting Your Caste

    Castes reflect your social standing:

    • Peasant (Lower class)
    • Middle class
    • Aristocrat

In practice, caste choices mainly unlock different dialogue options; they don’t significantly alter gameplay. The Bondsman caste is a popular choice because it unlocks interesting dialogue, but these are mostly flavor text and don’t change the game outcome much.

    Picking Your Class and Mentor

This is where your choices truly matter. The Mentor defines your initial abilities, the skill tree you access, and your starting class. Here are some options:

    • Swordmaster: Focuses on close combat, with abilities like Knee Charge.
    • Bene Gesserit: Offers powerful skills such as Voice: Compel (to influence NPCs from afar) and Bindu Sprint (a fast dash for mobility). Many players find this class very strong early on.
    • Mentat: Skilled in reconnaissance, strategy, and agility, with abilities like the Sentinel drone.
    • Trooper: Emphasizes offense, explosives, and ranged combat, with abilities like the Shigawire Claw.

Most players consider the Bene Gesserit the best starting option because of its powerful early skills, especially the ability to manipulate enemies and quickly move around the battlefield. The Trooper is more beginner-friendly and can be learned early from trainers, but ultimately, your preferred play style should guide your choice.

    Trainers and Skill Unlocks

You can find trainers around the game world to learn new skills, but some are located far into the desert, making it a challenge to reach them early. Planning your route and exploring is part of the adventure.

If you’re looking to build a strong start or want tips on surviving sandworms and gathering resources, check out some of our other guides. Whether you want the best early-game strategies or how to gather mid-game materials, there’s plenty to explore.

  • Guide to Locating and Scanning Sandspears in Subnautica 2

Guide to Locating and Scanning Sandspears in Subnautica 2

You need sharp eyes to spot the Sandspears in Subnautica 2. These strong creatures can be big and dangerous, capable of causing serious damage with just one bite. However, they tend to hide underground until you’re very close to them, making them tricky to find.

To unlock all the Biomods in Subnautica 2, you’ll have to get close enough to scan one of these aggressive fish. Here’s where they usually hang out and how to safely scan a Sandspear without risking your life.

Where to find Sandspears in Subnautica 2

You can find Sandspears near your lifepod and around the Observatory. They mostly bury themselves almost entirely under the sand, so keep an eye out for a blue antenna sticking out of the ground, topped with sharp teeth, as shown in the picture above.

Warning: If you get too close, this ominous sign will spring a Sandspear out of the ground, biting you and dealing heavy damage. It’s a good idea to carry some medkits to heal any injuries while you’re searching.

Good spots to look for Sandspears:

    • Swim about 65 meters from the lifepod at a direction of 250° southwest, and at a depth of around 25 meters.
    • Move 110 meters from the lifepod heading 60° northeast, or
    • Swim 140 meters east from the lifepod at 90°, staying at about 20 meters deep.

Generally, these fish are spotted along the ocean surface in the same areas around the lifepod and near the Observatory. They aren’t found in the Alien Ruins zone.

Once you locate one, your goal is to scan it to unlock two new Biomods. Next, learn how to get close enough to do that safely.

How to scan Sandspears in Subnautica 2

To scan the Sandspear, first get close enough to hit it with your Feedback or Sonic Resonator. This will push the creature out of the sand temporarily. When it’s momentarily passive, you can use your scanner to analyze it.

Be aware: if you get too close, the Sandspear might attack, but even then, it’ll usually revert to a passive state before hiding again. During that window, you can scan it safely. The key point is that Sandspears only attack when you invade their space, so they’re mainly defensive.

Remember, to unlock the Biomod, you need to scan the Sandspear with a Subnautica 2 Bioscanner, not a regular scanner.

If you’re interested in other creatures, check out our list of all the Subnautica 2 leviathans, but be cautious when approaching them.

Note: Handle these creatures with care—they’re dangerous and can surprise you at any moment.

  • Preview of Features in Subnautica 2 Update 1.2

Preview of Features in Subnautica 2 Update 1.2

Subnautica 2’s early access update 1.2 is on its way, following the release of version 1.1 on July 8, 2026. This new update is expected to include even more content than the first, offering fresh experiences for players still exploring the survival game in its early stages.

Just like with update 1.1, you can pick up right where you left off once version 1.2 is available. So, if you’re taking a break or exploring other parts of the game, your progress will be saved, and you can continue whenever you’re ready. Here’s a look at what’s confirmed so far for the multiplayer-focused version 1.2.

    ### What to Expect from Subnautica 2 Update 1.2

    – Voice chat for close-range multiplayer conversations
    – The ability to revive teammates
    – New emotes for expressing yourself
    – Trading system
    – And more surprises to come

It’s reasonable to expect that the update will arrive by September at the latest, giving enough time for the bigger content drop—which will introduce new creatures and a new biome—before the year ends. This estimate is based on a developer video where the creative director, Anthony Gallegos, mentioned that the major update would come “later in the year.”

Since the wait for 1.2 is still ongoing, I’ll wait for more details before diving into additional features. But if you’re eager to experience multiplayer with friends, now’s a great time—especially with proximity chat coming soon. Version 1.1 already brought some quality-of-life improvements, like allowing players to store items separately to protect them from automatic usage by the fabricator, and more multiplayer updates are on the way.

Latest Zombie Arena Codes for June 2026: All Survivors’ Secrets

On June 24, 2026, I checked for new Survive Zombie Arena codes. Although no new codes have been announced recently, the two existing promos on our list are still active.

By using the latest codes, you can earn free Credits, which are great for improving your weapons, choosing a new class, and more. While you earn Credits just by playing, grabbing some for free can help, especially if you’re saving up for the Necromancer class.

Unlike many other Roblox games, Credits are the only in-game currency in Survive Zombie Arena—aside from Robux. They’re used everywhere in the zombie game and are more important because they let you start each match with better gear than before. Redeem these codes to gain an advantage.

If you’re interested in rewards that work across all your Roblox games, check out our list of the latest promo codes.

    All Survive Zombie Arena codes

    Here are the current codes:

    • GALACTIC – Grants 2x Void Shards for 24 hours

    How to redeem SZA codes

To redeem your codes, open the game and go to the Shop from the main lobby. Scroll down and find the code redemption box at the bottom. Enter a code from the list above, click “Redeem,” and enjoy your rewards. Codes don’t depend on capitalization, so you can type them in however you like, but copying and pasting makes it easier.

    Expired Survive Zombie Arena codes

Currently, there are no expired codes. However, since the developers can invalidate active codes at any time, it’s best to redeem them now if you haven’t already.

  • Quick Guide: Fast Traveling in Palworld

Quick Guide: Fast Traveling in Palworld

Fast travel in Palworld involves finding special statues that let you quickly move between specific locations in the game world, and those you set up within your own base for easy access. It’s a good idea to place several fast travel points and bases, especially near rich resource areas. This way, you can quickly reach minerals or items you need. If you’re interested in how to do this, here’s how you can instantly fast travel in Palworld.

In the game’s early minutes, you’ll activate your first fast travel point by activating an orange pillar you see near the starting area. However, this initial point isn’t very useful on its own, and it may be a while before you find another. As you explore, you’ll discover more pillars, which you can activate and then use to travel between them. When you activate a new pillar, it also grants you a Technology point, which you can use to unlock new features.

To give you an idea of their placement, I marked all the fast travel points I found on my map with blue winged icons. These are places you can activate and use to jump around the world more easily.

The fast travel pillars start out as orange and turn blue once you activate them. They can be tricky to spot over terrain or through trees, so always check your map, where nearby points of interest will be highlighted. Sometimes, a fast travel pillar is right next to you but hard to see. You can also find fast travel points on top of towers you reach after defeating bosses. Plus, your Palbox — the large terminal used at bases to manage your creatures — also lets you fast travel.

Remember, keeping an eye on your map is important, especially since some fast travel points are hidden or hard to see from a distance. Exploring thoroughly will help ensure you make the most of these quick travel options.

  • How to Farm Fine Wood in Witchspire

How to Farm Fine Wood in Witchspire

In Witchspire, you need Fine Wood to craft your first flying broom and various other items. The easiest way to gather it is by finding and chopping down the right kind of trees. Most of the time, you’ll want to target the larger trees with thick trunks that appear around the map. To do this, you’ll need a Logging Sickle. The process is just like chopping regular trees, but these bigger oak trees take a few extra hits to cut down. When you succeed, they usually drop lots of Fine Wood.

If you’re looking for an easy spot to find Fine Wood, there’s a big tree near the beginning of the game, marked on the map below.

If you don’t have a Logging Sickle yet, you can make one at the workbench. To craft it, you’ll need:
    – 1 piece of Wood
    – 5 Stones
    – 5 Spirit Dust

Later on, you’ll be able to upgrade to the Spirit Logging Sickle, which makes collecting wood faster. For now, the regular sickle will do the job and is enough for early game needs. Once you have some Fine Wood, you’ll likely want to use it for crafting your broom, and once you’re flying, spotting those big trees from above becomes much easier.

  • Creating and Linking Power Sources in StarRupture

Creating and Linking Power Sources in StarRupture

Understanding how to generate and connect power in StarRupture is essential for building a working sci-fi factory. You can’t gather resources or send them to your clients without a steady power supply. The game introduces many core mechanics early on, which can make it easy to miss some helpful tips while you’re still figuring things out. The power system in StarRupture can feel a bit tricky at first, but follow these steps, and you’ll quickly get the hang of keeping your machines running smoothly without constant supervision.

If you’re looking for extra tips on resource gathering, check out how to get Helium in StarRupture and where to find the Rotor and Tube Blueprints.

How to Generate Power in StarRupture
To produce power, place Solar Generators anywhere within your base. Each costs 40 basic building materials, and there’s no limit on how many you can build. Every solar panel produces a limited amount of power, so more complex machines with higher demands will need more energy. You can see a machine’s power needs by clicking on it and opening the info tab.

    Saving Power or Making Adjustments
If you need to conserve energy or want to move things around, just turn off machines by interacting and flipping their power switch. This gives your power grid some relief while you expand or reconfigure.

    Connecting Devices to Power
To power devices like Ore Excavators or Smelters, connect them to your Solar Generators using either platforms or rails. Both types of structures conduct electricity, so you don’t need separate wires. Your entire base shares the same power grid, meaning as long as a machine is connected in some way, and your generators have enough energy, it will turn on.

Electricity can travel as far as needed, so distant machines won’t run out of power as long as there’s a rail linking them back to the main grid. Make sure your solar panels are connected to something like a platform, and as long as everything is linked through rails, your factory’s power will spread throughout.

    Powering Up Ore Excavators
For specialized machines like Ore Excavators, which can’t have platforms attached directly to them, connect them to a powered machine like a Smelter with a rail. As long as the connected machine has power, the excavator will share that energy.

The key is to ensure your Solar Generators are touching at least one platform connected to your machines. As long as everything is linked via rails—an inescapable part of StarRupture—power will flow through your entire setup.

    Keeping Your Power Systems Organized
If you want to hide your Solar Generators or keep your work area tidy, attach a platform to a solar panel and build walkways to connect to your other devices. This makes it easier to organize and access everything while keeping your power sources out of the way.

  • Locating Rotor and Tube Blueprints in StarRupture

Locating Rotor and Tube Blueprints in StarRupture

You should prioritize finding the Rotor and Tube blueprints in StarRupture right away because they are essential for many crafting recipes that help you expand your operations. While some items can be made from the start with enough materials, others require special blueprints before you can begin crafting them.

The Rotor and Tube are two such components—they need you to do some preliminary work before you can produce them. The game doesn’t give clear instructions on where to find these blueprints, and at first glance, the planet’s surface appears quite empty. To help you out, here’s where you can find the Rotor and Tube blueprints in StarRupture.

The blueprints are located at an abandoned base to the west of your starting area. Look for the broken remains of a metal dish sticking out over the rugged cliffs in the distance—that’s your destination.

This area is pretty dangerous because it’s full of Vermin enemies, so come prepared with weapons and ammo. Your starting pistol will work, but some of the tougher Vermin still need several shots to take down. As soon as you climb over the cliffs into the base, the vermin will swarm you, and they keep coming as long as you’re there. Keep moving to stay safe.

Inside a two-story building at the back of the base, you’ll find the blueprints for the Rotor and Tube. This structure is one of the few that’s still standing, making it hard to miss. Since the main entrance is blocked, you’ll need to go around back, climb onto the nearby cliffs, and find a hole in the wall to get inside. Once inside, you’ll be relatively safe from the Vermin as they can’t reach you in there. Be sure to search thoroughly inside the building—you’ll find a small chest on the ground floor containing the blueprints.

After collecting both blueprints, exit the base and head back to your main hub. Bring the blueprints to your Recipe Station and, along with the other required resources, unlock the ability to craft Rotors and Tubes at your Fabricators.

Keep in mind, these blueprints are part of later quests that will push you beyond your safe base. Eventually, you’ll need to leave your protected area to find them, but there’s no rush. It’s best to wait until you have better weapons and have gained experience taking on Vermin before making the trip.

  • Hidden Granite Spots in Winter Burrow

Hidden Granite Spots in Winter Burrow

In Winter Burrow, you’ll soon discover that finding granite isn’t as straightforward as it seems. After meeting Aunty and getting the key to the basement to start growing mushrooms, you might think you need to gather granite immediately to repair the stairs. But that’s not quite right. First, you need to focus on helping Bufo the frog by ignoring the stair repair for now. This means repeatedly visiting Aunty, who will give you tasks such as making wooden furniture, fixing the stove, and crafting a shovel.

When you settle into your new home, there’s an early mission to find Aunty by fixing and crossing a bridge. She then gives you the key to the basement, where you’ll need 20 pebbles, 15 pieces of granite, and 2 beachnut biscuits to repair the stairs. However, at this stage, the need for granite can be confusing because you might think it’s required immediately, but it actually isn’t. For now, you can plant mushrooms at the top area, which is all you need. The real need for granite will only come later when you’re ready to gather it easily.

After helping Aunty and returning, you’ll be attacked by an owl and she’ll be carried away – not an ideal situation. Eventually, you’ll find a new path to an area in front of her ruined house, where you’ll find Bufo the frog. Bufo will ask for five pebbles and two twigs, which you can gather from previous locations or your own house. Two good spots to find these are just outside Bufo’s area, underneath some snow-covered roots, and near a log further down from the first piece of granite. Another spot includes a backpack where you’ll find some granite inside.

Once you give Bufo the pebbles and twigs he needs, he’ll supply you with a basic pickaxe and send you on a quest to collect three pieces of granite. These can be found in the same area, in specific locations such as behind a snow-covered log or inside a backpack nearby. Gathering these will provide you with the granite needed for now, and trigger a new questline involving Bufo, pebbles, and flint.

It’s important to know that the granite for fixing the basement stairs isn’t obtainable at this point. You just need patience and continued progress through the game. You’ll only get the crafting recipe for a Granite Pickaxe after completing Bufo’s mission called “An Axe for Bufo” and some other tasks involving a squirrel named Gnawtusk. After finishing those, you’ll finally be able to mine all the granite you want with ease. Until then, keep exploring and focusing on the tasks at hand, and everything will come together in time.

  • How to Obtain and Utilize Frog Keys in 99 Nights in the Forest

How to Obtain and Utilize Frog Keys in 99 Nights in the Forest

In the game 99 Nights in the Forest, your main goal is to survive, gather supplies, craft different recipes, and figure out how to get free diamonds. These diamonds unlock new classes called 99 Nights. A strange event called the Frog Invasion also begins randomly. When this happens, you’ll see the message “something is emerging from the ponds…” pop up on your screen.

Once this event starts, you’ll notice lots of colorful frogs of different sizes appearing near the ponds on your map. These frogs are the key to finding frog keys. Not all ponds will have these keys, but when you see a big frog key icon over a pond, you’ll need to use your Fishing Rod — usually found near your camp in a fishing cabin — to reel it in.

Before fishing for the frog keys, you’ll often have to deal with frogs guarding the pond. These frogs can hurt you with their tongue attacks, but if you’re quick, you can normally take them out easily. Be aware, though, that killing certain frogs will cause more to appear. For example, killing a medium-sized blue frog might make green frogs spawn, and taking out a large purple frog could bring more blue and green frogs along. Larger frogs also have a chance to drop keys, so don’t overlook them.

In the game, you’ll need to collect eight frog keys to unlock the special door in a pond with a whirlpool. Jump into the whirlpool to enter a secret room where you can put your keys into the eight locks on the door. When all are unlocked, the giant Frog King will hop out and challenge you to a fight. Expect to face waves of frogs—purple, blue, and green—as you battle him. Defeating the Frog King rewards you with special gear like Poisonous Frog Armor, Poisoned Spears, Poison Darts, and Frog Boots. Plus, completing this challenge and earning the Beastmaster badge grants you some extra diamonds for free.
