    Honestly, think about it: what video games can DC offer right now? Their recent game releases have been disappointing, and the last two games featuring Superman have lost support. Yet, DC is still trying to ride Superman’s wave by promoting… Batman games?

    If You Loved Superman, Check Out These Games That Have Almost Nothing To Do With Superman

    Currently, the following DC games are on sale as Superman hits theaters:

    • Batman: Arkham Collection
    • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
    • Gotham Knights

    Although Xbox is promoting these sales, you can also find these games at lower prices on Steam. PlayStation only has Gotham Knights available for sale.

    If you just saw Superman and enjoyed it, these game recommendations might not be what you’re looking for. The Arkham Collection and Gotham Knights are not Superman games at all. The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League does feature Superman, but he’s been brainwashed and, spoiler alert, you actually have to kill him. Another spoiler: later seasons undid that death. Overall, not the best choice if you’re hoping to capture the feeling from the film.

    Another recent game that included Superman is MultiVersus, but it has since been shut down and removed from sale. Things aren’t looking up for DC gamers either, as a highly awaited Wonder Woman game has been canceled too, leaving fans with little to anticipate in gaming.

    At least James Gunn knows about this and has mentioned that future games will be created in the revamped DCU. He’s also hinted at more games in the Arkham series and has expressed interest in a DC version of Marvel Rivals.

    Fortnite players agree that the new Superman Mythic is underpowered, especially since players expect to be using the Man of Steel.

    While Fortnite is a huge game, this season feels less exciting compared to some previous ones in Chapter 6. The main highlight so far has been the addition of Superman, inspired by David Corenswet’s version in James Gunn’s movie.

    Superman isn’t just a new skin in the Battle Pass. Recently, a Mythic called Superman’s Call was added to Fortnite. This gives players his cape and the chance to play as Superman, complete with his well-known superpowers. Unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to live up to the hype.

    Since Superman was added to Fortnite on July 11, players have voiced concerns about how weak he is. Even though he can fly, uses heat vision, and has super strength, Superman doesn’t feel that powerful due to various issues.

    One major problem is that Superman’s Mythic has a timer that runs down quickly, especially when he’s shot, making him hard to use effectively. Amazingly, the seemingly bulletproof Man of Steel can be taken down easily by bullets.

    Many Reddit posts are discussing how “weak” Superman’s Mythic is, including a popular one by Reddit user Adorable_Strike_1134. Most comments agree that his health is too low for his character, and he dies too quickly to be worth using. With his ability to be tracked, he becomes an easy target.

    Other complaints include that the heat vision is weaker than in other versions, the ability doesn’t always show up in matches, and his moveset isn’t very exciting. Overall, this season’s big addition falls short and doesn’t do Superman justice.

    With domestic figures added, the film’s worldwide total has reached $96.5 million, with expectations of strong weekend performances. Directed by James Gunn, Superman is projected to surpass $210 million globally, although weekend box office dynamics may influence this estimate.

    In Asia, however, the response has been lukewarm. South Korea, traditionally a weak market for such films, is not anticipated to contribute significantly, and China’s expectations remain low, with projections of around $11 million.

    In contrast, the UK saw a strong start, debuting at $3.6 million, dominating 66% of the top five films there. Spain opened with $1 million, marking Gunn’s largest debut yet. Japan also performed well, earning $781,000 as anticipation builds for the upcoming Demon Slayer release.

    Top-performing markets thus far include Mexico ($3.8 million), the UK ($3.6 million), Brazil ($3 million), Australia ($2.5 million), and France ($2.5 million). Meanwhile, earlier figures show that Superman grossed $40.3 million domestically through mid-week.

    France opened at $1.3 million on Wednesday, outperforming similar films ahead of the Bastille Day weekend. The film also enjoyed a smooth opening in Korea, hitting $700,000 and earning the top spot against other films.

    Superman achieved a notable $2.2 million opening day in Mexico, equaling DC’s second-biggest debut, while Australia’s $1.3 million opening is the best for 2025, surpassing Aquaman and The Batman.

Director Martin Campbell revealed that Cavill and Daniel Craig were the top contenders to succeed Pierce Brosnan as 007. What Cavill’s take on Bond might have been has been a topic of speculation for many years, and now, thanks to a leaked video, fans can finally catch a glimpse.

    In this recently surfaced audition, posted on Ron South’s YouTube channel, Cavill, at just 22 years old with long black hair, is seen performing lines from a scene in the 1995 movie GoldenEye. According to the description accompanying the video, it was sourced from a “VHS tape found in a recycling bin at a movie studio.”

    Ultimately, Craig took home the role, portraying the beloved spy across five films. Producers chose a more mature interpretation of Bond, opting for Craig, who was 37 during the audition, rather than a character in his early twenties. Despite not landing the role, Cavill impressed Campbell, who described his audition as “tremendous.”

    “He looked fantastic during the audition. His acting was remarkable,” Campbell stated to The Express in June 2023. “And let’s be honest, if Daniel didn’t exist, Henry would have made a superb Bond. He was in excellent shape, very handsome, and chiseled. He just appeared slightly young for the role at that moment.”

    Even now, Cavill is still frequently mentioned in discussions about the next James Bond, as Eon Productions searches for the actor to succeed Craig. Producer Barbara Broccoli recently indicated that the next Bond will likely be in his 30s, which may eliminate Cavill, who is currently 41.

    As for the next installment of the James Bond franchise, a release date has yet to be announced.
