The first trailer for Star TV’s highly anticipated new series Tuzlu Kahve has been unveiled, giving audiences their first extended preview of the romantic comedy and its impressive ensemble cast.
Produced by Poll Films, the show features some of the most renowned names in Turkish television, including Eda Ece, Buğra Gülsoy, Nebahat Çehre, Binnur Kaya, Şevval Sam, Yasemin Ergene, Sarp Apak, Ceren Moray, Enis Arıkan, Hatice Aslan, and Nergis Kumbasar.
The story revolves around Gözde, played by Eda Ece, and Mehmet, portrayed by Buğra Gülsoy. Gözde is the daughter of a long-established and affluent family in Istanbul, while Mehmet is the heir to a business holding who has recently returned to Turkey from the United States.
The couple quickly falls in love and decides to marry, but their decision sparks conflicts that are far more complex than they anticipated. Coming from vastly different backgrounds, their families’ worlds collide, making it much more challenging to bring everyone together at the same table than the young couple envisioned.
The series combines romantic comedy and family drama, focusing not only on Gözde and Mehmet’s relationship but also on the tensions that arise across different generations, traditions, and family expectations.
The released trailer provides a glimpse into the lively family interactions at the heart of the story, showcasing the chemistry between the lead characters and the humorous situations that develop as their families become more involved in their relationship.
Tuzlu Kahve has garnered considerable attention thanks to its diverse and notable cast. Along with Ece and Gülsoy, the series features veteran actors like Nebahat Çehre, Binnur Kaya, Hatice Aslan, and Nergis Kumbasar, bringing together performers from different generations of Turkish TV.
Additionally, Nebahat Çehre and Yasemin Ergene are making their television returns after lengthy absences, adding further excitement to the project.
Previously, the cast was introduced in a full-cast reading rehearsal where the actors gathered before filming began. The production team added a playful touch by creating personalized cardboard cutouts of cast members, setting a lively and familial tone for the series.
Filming has now commenced, with the show slated to premiere on Star TV in September 2026.
Overall, Tuzlu Kahve is shaping up to be one of Star TV’s standout new-season productions. Its blend of romance, family conflicts, humor, and a cast filled with familiar faces promises to deliver an engaging and lively series. The release of the first trailer has given viewers their initial glimpse of the story, characters, and the chaos of family life that awaits them on screen.
